Episode description

Have you ever stopped to marvel at how dramatically different your life is from those who lived just a few centuries ago? Drawing from recent explorations into historical literature and media, this episode reveals the extraordinary power of human imagination that shapes our everyday reality.

Picture this: ancestors trudging to wells for water while we enjoy hot showers at the touch of a button. The wealthy of yesteryear laboriously filling bathtubs with heated buckets while modern plumbing gives us instant comfort. These transformations didn't happen by accident—they began as ideas in someone's mind.

What we casually call "manifesting" today is actually conscious creation stemming from our uniquely human capacity to imagine possibilities that don't yet exist. From running water to air conditioning, from pillows to skyscrapers, everything beneficial in our modern world began as someone's "crazy idea." No other species possesses this extraordinary ability to envision and then bring into being.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

Simple as that!

Welcome and Historical Perspective

Speaker 1

Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore . Lately and this hasn't been intentional , but lately I've been spending time with books , tv shows , literature that's based hundreds or thousands of years ago . Watching the Chosen , which is Jesus's story . I'm reading a book that was based in the 1700s in Maine . I'm reading historical .

I know that varies a lot in timeframe , but I'm reading stuff and paying attention to stuff . House of David , also thousands of years ago . I'm paying attention to the details in these stories historically , that reveal to me how good our lives are today . People used to have to go to a well to get water .

You couldn't just turn on the tap and have a hot bath . This was until recently , right 1700s , 1800s , Maine people had to bring hot buckets from the kettle to fill a bathtub and this was really reserved for people of great wealth , meaning we live better than royalty even lived not so long ago in the history of our

Imagination Rules the World

evolution . And what's really stuck out to me , as I've been kind of immersed in this , is this Imagination rules the world . It's not even manifesting right . We use the word manifesting a lot in our society now Manifesting , manifesting . I want to manifest this . I manifested him , I manifested that it's actually creating , actively creating .

This is what I call conscious manifesting . Think about it . Our imaginations are powerful . Someone had to think about running water , someone had to think about flying a plane , someone had to think about air conditioning , someone had to create pillows , someone had to create homes with warmth , with insulation .

My friends , yes , it is a manifestation in the real world , meaning it came into physical form , but first it was an idea . And this is what is incredible about being alive human ingenuity . No other species can

Modern Luxuries Our Ancestors Dreamed Of

do this . No one else has the prefrontal cortex that can imagine , imagine what can be before anything came to be . I look at a skyline here in miami . I know that every business , every building , every hotel was once an idea . First , it's wonderful , uh , contrasted to the beautiful ocean , which is just eternal and powerful and stunning .

But you see both together and really that's us , isn't it ? We are nature and we are here to create . So whatever those crazy ideas are that you have , remember that almost everything was a crazy idea . Once People didn't imagine a moving car . They're going by horse , right ?

There's that old joke If you ask oh , henry Ford said this If you ask someone in you know X amount of years ago , what would have been amazing . They would have said a faster horse . My friends , what is it that you are imagining ? What are your ideas ? Everything , great Everything that benefits our lives , all of our modern conveniences .

I'm not even talking about technology yet . It's incredible to see where AI will be in 30 years . Oh my gosh , isn't it thrilling how lucky we are to be alive now . I have really two takeaways for this , as I ponder imagination , ideas , creation . The first is this don't ignore your ideas .

Everything was an idea , first , and there is not a single exception to that . And then , secondly , I think to myself in this age to be alive now . How lucky we are , how blessed we are , how many opportunities we have that our ancestors could only have dreamt of . It's like they're cheering us on , cheering

Don't Ignore Your Ideas

us on in their spirit . Oh my gosh , you have telephones . Oh my gosh , you can go up and down a building in an elevator . Oh my gosh , you can go to Australia via an airplane . My friends , I love this quote from Seth Godin . He said how dare you be ordinary when the world has made it so easy for you to be extraordinary ?

Where can your imagination , your ideas , your human uniqueness lead you ? Until tomorrow , my friends , so much love and
