Call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to reach a 24-hour crisis center, text MHA to 741741, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. Find a local MHA affiliate who can provide services. Find a therapist. Find support groups. ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ men·tal health noun noun: mental health 1. a person’s condition with regard to their psychological and emotional well-being. ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ Self-care encourages self-improvement. It promotes rest and relaxation, which benefits our overall health and wellness, and it also promotes healthy relationships. Some tips for self-care include: * Live Healthy, eat healthy foods, get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and avoid drugs and alcohol. Manage stress and go for regular medical check-ups. * Practice good hygiene. Good hygiene is important for social, medical, and psychological reasons in that it not only reduces the risk of illness, but it also improves the way others view you and how you view yourself. * See friends to build your sense of belonging.
