If you are familiar with the resale sneaker market you are probably familiar with the name Croatianstyle. The man behind the username is Andre Ljustina and he’s been one of the most consistent aftermarket sneaker sellers over the past 19 years. Over that timespan, he’s managed to amass a mighty impressive collection of sneakers (said to be worth upwards of 2 million dollars), which you can find at @ProjectBlitz. On this episode of Legit Check - Yeezy Busta had the chance to sit down with Andre to take a deep dive on the sneaker market and talk everything in between.

What's going on? Guys. I'm Easy Busta and this is Legit Check, the best number one sneaker in streitwear podcast in the world, self proclaimed by the way, Chais and blazoneder are are gonna be my co hosts. They were, I guess they were both kind of guests, so you know, now they're gonna be the co host and we have a very special guest. Andre, do you want to introduce yourself or Dre as you like to call yourself? What's up every Oh my god, what's up? Everybody? So embarrassing? Bro?

I know, wasn't it like backflips right now? I'm Andre uh Croatian style, owner of Project Blitz. If you've ever entertained the idea of checking not, if you haven't checked out Project blitz dot com, you should definitely check it out. Shameless plug Dre. Dre is a really good friend of mine. Uh, I'd say his family and one of the o G s in the sneaker game, like if not the o G like the he's your plugs plug. You know, he's like that guy. So he's the man, the myth legend himself.

He's here in the flesh. If you guys, haven't heard of him. He's at Croatian Style on Instagram. He is the founder and owner of Project Blitz, and it's pretty freaking awesome. Dude, Free, I can't believe you just said that. I might as well have said I might. I haven't said I might as well have said flipping dude. So, um, we have some questions for you, Dre. I definitely have a few. I'm sure that they probably have some questions

for you as well. But um, you guys are definitely gonna check them out, first of all on Instagram and all that. They have a YouTube channel now right, Project Blitz. Yeah, we started it up. Um, obviously it's just a little beginning, like a little intro, and then we're gonna turn it up and you know, modify it and everything is a little bit of a test phase, but you know it looks a little nice. It's playing with it, trying to

like open up into that space. And here we are with you guys, the leaders the you know, the leaders of the new school right here. I mean a rap reference to for those who don't know who that who that is. But you know, damn your old Dre is a really good friend. I'm definitely gonna take a few jabs at him throughout the show. I don't actually hate him, and I'm not a dick, I swear, But so let's let's just start from the beginning. Like, I know your story.

You have one of the most crazy stories I've ever heard out of any sneaker head. And it's very admirable how you've gotten to this point. And your warehouse is unbelievable. I know Chais and Blazon Area both have been there. It's absolutely incredible. So kind of tell us how how it all started, like what, like, you know, from your parents house and all that, Like, how how did it

all start? Okay? So, um, yeah, I just woke up one day and my dad gave me like two million dollars and I went around and just bought all those shoes and I was an instant collector and reseller and one All right, we're done here, kidding. No, I mean I wish that was the case. I mean, Daddy's well, that's more of the case these days. There it's like

a lot of ability for that to take place. But it's actually a long story, and we're gonna try to summarize it and make it, um, you know, interesting and well said in in a few minutes that we have to say it. But basically, I was kind of stumbled upon everything selling sneakers in Japan back in the infancy of the whole game about like I don't know, eighteen years ago, roughly, um and uh John Carlo was born. Yes, yeah, I know, crazy right. I'll just keep this like really

clean this card. Let's say a funny, funny joke, but we'll leave it at that. Um. Yeah, So I just say it and then cut it just in case we'll take shots next time. I'll just do it like a no holds barred session or something. So no, I mean it just kind of like stumbled upon me. Just probably more so like everyone here, a lot of people in the space that get everything kind of like stumbled upon.

I'm like, you know, if they're enjoying something, being part of something, like I was always wearing sneakers growing up in uh in l A, like one of the the urban suburbs of of l A. I mean it was in the Hawthorne, California, and um and you still live there, yeah, still down to sub Bay. So like everybody, uh, you know, I was wearing sneakers and all that wasn't. It wasn't

like this whole streetwear game like it was now. Like back then it was kind of like you know whatever the jumpsuits and and like T shirts and stuff that, you know, whatever was out there in the nineties, right, and so um, but we always it was about the sneakers. That was like the biggest deal, right. So it would be like Dion's Jordan's you know, watching Jordan play, watching Dion play, watching bo Jackson like that. Andre Agassi was my favorite, like tennis player to same name whatever, and

then you know all these people have loo Conic. Yeah it's funny, right, So iconic sneakers that that, um, you know still transcend after retroing like a few times already

each model and there's still relevant to this day. I mean, those are the stories that you know, we need a kind of carry over because it's not about what the shoes going for, it's like what it represented absolutely you know you So anyways, going off on a tangent a little bit, but um, you know, I started uh selling sneakers of Japan, had stuff on eBay in the beginning, and got contacted all these people in Japan, started going out there, Um, started getting contacted by stylists and whatnot

and delivering sneakers and Supreme and stuff like that to um like artists, hotels and whatnot. So um, I kind of kept everything very underground, like social media didn't exist. Everything was word of mouth, just phone numbers and contacts and nobody really knew your face and was social media came out, I was like, Okay, everything I to do is very political and you couldn't really put your face out there just kind of like you. But I couldn't

walk around with a mask. I'd never take it off, right, No, No, I've been wearing this for three years exactly right. But if I you know, if I if I rolled it up, if you know what I mean, Like, there just wasn't anything that you could You couldn't put your face to it. But at the time I didn't even want to. And it was only until recently people were like, hey, you know, you should put yourself out there because of your brand and people kind of need to see what you do

because kind of amazing the situations and whatnot. I said, okay, we'll figure that out when it comes but um yeah, and then I started blitz, uh say it's in uh six six years ago, and um, you know, this is like the next stage. And this was actually like putting everything out there, my whole collection. It was like four thousand pairs, plus I stockpiled like ten thousand pairs at the time, just waiting for the day, Like am I

going to open up a store? Am I just gonna dump it all at like Flight, who I knew like the owner a long time ago. I was gonna just you know, maybe have an exit strategy, just dump it all and go into like the nightclub entertainment industry or something like that. But then I said, you know what, I'm gonna stay with it because I always love sneakers since I was a kid, like wearing van checkered vans. The Jordan's whatever was coming out, and I said, okay, let me just let me just hit it. And that's

what blitz meant. It was like you know, unknown attack, like in uh playing football, like you have a blitz right on the quarterback. No one knows who's blitzing, but you know, this is what we're gonna do. We're just gonna hit it. And everything was just gonna come out like harder and harder and harder. So um, that's who

we are and that's where we are today. And I've just kind of been evolving it um on the like micro level, but now I'm just gonna really change the whole scope of the way it's running, the way we we get product, and the way we work on everything. But it's never been a consignment store. I've owned the entire product or the company his own entire product, and we've always sourced it direct as direct as possible as you can. But I think we'll be opening that up soon.

So and to be that that kind of wishes to kind of be a part of the Blitz thing and you kind of want to work with us and sell with us and whatnot. We're going to figure out like some new strategies so to include more people to be more interactive with with Blitz of course, and Dre is very humble by the way, Like um, the people who

stopped by the warehouse are just incredible. You know, You've had like Drake, Travis Scott and I've I've been in the warehouse and Travis pulled up what it was at three times in one week and I was there all three times. Yeah, Yeah, that was that was that was crazy. It's like what you know, and like, yeah, yesterday we met, we hung out with check West. Really cool. Yeah, Shack Jesus came through and like all these basketball players and

super high profile celebrities. And you might think, like why Blitz, Why did they come to Blitz? You know, is it because of the inventory? Is it because of you? As it because of the connections, because your inventory is absolutely incredible. There's stuff there that I've never seen ever in my life. And I'm sure that Kaiser, you know, John Carlo can vouch for me when I say that. And I bought my my grails from Blitz. I bought the Red Octobers. It's like my favorite tree of all time. That was

like a big thing to me. And I bought like a few other pairs of trees that meant a lot to me as well. So like, why do you think that, uh so many people are drawn towards Blitz. Yeah, I mean one thing, like, uh, look, you can put all the money in the world in a website. You can put all the money in the world in in an app, you can put all the money in the world in a brand. There's two things that you need, right, So

a store you need product. If you have the most amazing amount of the most amazing product, you're gonna have people coming to It's like, if you build it, they will come, but you have to have the things inside of it to attract them as well, right, And I think it's kind of that's somewhat like the original reason. Like people always say, like, oh man, you gotta go

check it out. But one of the things that I will like definitely pat myself on the back FO is like everyone says, yo, but that dude's a great guy. That's like you know, it's like, you know, that's a good dude. That's something you're you're a part of when you go in and it's like you're going with me to a party or something and you know, buying drinks and whatnot. Like you know, it's just it's something about like always just being authentic and always being like open

and good with everybody. And you know, unfortunately you become a target by other people, um, always trying to like bash you or sabotage you or whatever at one point. Um. But you know, the I don't know it, dude. It's probably like a culmination of things. It's like having the product there, having that energy and and um, you know, and people knowing that, look, they're not they're not getting somebody that's just trying to befriend them because of who

they are. Like I've been around this stuff for a long time. And you know, obviously you guys know in the whole social media world, Um, you know, you get a lot of people that are just out there like, oh man, this guy's coming in, like yo, that you gotta shower him with a ton of free stuff. And it's like do they know likes Yeah, it's like, yo, you're you're just someone that's just trying to like be from me and get something on me. Like how do you even ask? Dad? I wasn't asking people for picks

or nothing. It's like when they when they're like when it came up and then you know, it was mentioned and we did it and it was made it organic and like authentic and real and it wasn't like forced,

you know what I mean. Like all you guys have all come in and been so authentic and real and I'm like so down with you guys, and you know, whatever you ever want to do, I'm so down with it, you know what I mean, absolutely, you know what I mean so it's uh, I mean in that sense, like you always someone does something for you, you reciprocate, So I think, you know, that's just it. It's just about

good energy. You know, good people can see through bullshit like you can see through a smiling face is like one, two, three, four, five times. And then you know the promises and things like I've I've dealt with that. So I just told myself never to be that guy like these other other situations and other stories or whatever whoever they do. But I'm always trying to do something ahead but keep it real. Yeah that man, I agree with you. I think I

think your energy is very positive. I think pretty much everyone who I've introduced to you, or like every time I've introduced you to someone else, they've always be like, Wow, what a great dude, Like regardless of all the stuff that you have, they're like, what a great guy, great energy, positive, And like that's why I always want to bring those types of people around you, you know what I mean.

So we're all and like that's why, you know, like I brought John Carlo and Kaist has been there and like you want to come back, and we did those videos and all that stuff. Just because like it's just good energy and I think it's really important. So shout out to you. That's like awesome, but cool, thanks. I mean, look, I'm not naive either, right, Like there's a lot of ship heads out there, of course you guys experienced, like tons of them too, and and whatever, right, opportunists and

this and that. Sometimes some people conform. They're like, you know what, I used to be that way, but let me. I want to change. I want to be good. I'm always some people like, look, dude, it's gonna come to you're gonna get it. Go out and be a go get like, go and get it, but don't lose yourself in the same time, like and don't be a piece of shit about it. And there's tons of them out there, so don't take my kindness for weakness. Like if you if I see you act like a like a fool

and fuck it. You know, I'm not even gonna like deal with them in in the end, but cut it out, you know what I mean. Well, yeah, but you know obviously, like look, you guys are FAMI, have a good time party whatever, do the do the whole thing, do biz check out amazing stuff, win together, right, So Um, well that's amazing, bro, that's amazing, Like like it's it's like a mutual respect and love in the air, you know what I mean, like like in positive it's all positive.

I remember, um, when you guys first launched the website, right, it was like come me soon, right, it was coming soon, and I forgot what me and my boys like me and my boys back home in the Bay. It was like Project Blitz is finally launching a website. Like all the blogs posted about it, and we're like because this was like there wasn't really anywhere to buy shoes online except like flight club and a few other places, so

we were like looking forward to it. Yeah, sneak News. Yeah, it was actually a shout out to sneak News so for being the first to uh to actually put out there and no one really wanted to touch it was very like political, yeah, because it's nobody was like, oh man is it's like you're going to be upset with us because we're doing content with them, But they actually went out and posted that. So yeah, so that's that's

how I heard about it. And then and then when I moved to l A, like, um, I had a few friends that had went into the warehouse, like I think Mike the Compass and then like Jacob Starr and they're like, yo, you gotta check it out. Like I don't know him. I always felt like it was like an elite club of people that could go in there. And then randomly on we're walking in Coachella and then me and you just bumped into each other it and I just look at you, and you look at me

and you're like take my number. They're like all right. And then the next later that next day, um, after like the calmness of Coach Ell, he's like, Yo, come to the warehouse, let's let's work, let's do some stuff. And it was just like right up there, like it was felt like we knew each other for years. So yeah, that was sick. That's just the organic exactly. The thing was just right there, like right there. There was an artist section too. Yeah, what a flex, big flex. I'm

I'm out here. I'm not I was in like the porta potty while these guys were in the artist section. You definitely were there, just I would. I didn't even go to Coach l so I can't even say anything, but yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, don't worry. We'll take you around there. We'll give a little tour. Okay, let's next year. This year, let's do let's go see Tam and Paula. How many of you guys actually know who Tam and paul is? Raise of hands? Yeah, come on? Is that

like the Spanish band? There was like a Spanish band play their fire Australia. We got a little boy over here, hey man? And what can I say? No, I'm just kidding. Yeah, that was funny. Maybe that was supposed to be Kanye West and then they had to change it. Yeah, that's been funny. But I just want to say something real quick, dude, go ahead about laz hand you have to hand. I call him drunk Carla, Thank you very much. Now, Like the first time that I met Dre, it was like

very quick. You know, I was going to the airport and easy Bus was like, oh, you know, we're we're going here, YadA, YadA, it's right next to the airport. Just come stop by. So I did for a second. It was really cool. And then just coming now, we didn't even go inside. I just stopped by and said what's up and met Dre and then um, Yester was my first time going in the warehouse and the first time I'm in the warehouse, check West is there, and

it was really cool to see that. And then afterwards, you know, we were talking all that and you helped me get like my favorite box logo in existence. And it's pretty insane because I never thought I would have the chance to own something like this, and you meet the guy that's got it all and you know, being a positive and great person to really helps because I

don't want to buy something from a schmuck. Yeah, you're like an actually really cool dude, and I can't wait to build, you know, more of a business relationship with you, and I aspect. Thank you for everyone that melted heart right now for everyone that's listening right now. Um, he's wearing the white on purple box logo or the purple

on white, sorry, purple and white. And this is Mafia Friends and Families, very very very controversial box logo because of all the fake reprints, because of fakeness of them. We'll get into that later. We'll get into that later, but um, yeah, man, that was a very cool experience for you. Huh, Well, like do you think that, well, what do you think about just like the warehouse itself, like all the inventory and like, well, when I first went in, you said that it was only half, which

still kind of knocked my socks off. And then just seeing the amount of like unreleased stuff and seeing me of samples and just like I went into the vault room, right and I'm looking at these pairs of sneakers and I'm sitting here like I know these sneakers and I know the names, like oh, these are the ray Alans, these are the Whatevers and whatever is because I've seen them on blogs. I've seen them like posted on pictures

and everything. And it's finally going to the place that actually had it all in person, seeing that like one of one rare stuff. It was really cool because I would just grow up on the images. I never actually got the physically holding or see it in person, like the Encore Force, like the Blue Ones. I got to see that as a person the first time ever. It is awesome. So yeah, and then Dre has like a size sixteen or something. It's huge, right, uhah, It's that's crazy.

He just made a face. He can't tell us more about it, but that's okay. But yeah, like you know something that you gotta keep a little course, of course, can't carry everything out of course, of course if it's you know, I don't even show my face, so I shouldn't even be talking like for real. But do you guys have any questions for Dre in particular that you guys like, because I know you know Dre for a

while now and you just met him. Is there anything that's like just burning that you just need to Yeah, I kind of gotta bring questions since we were on the topic just a second ago. For I bought this box, I'll go from you. But if you were to pick any box, I'll go in your personal collection. What would be your favorite? I love that one too, really, I love that one too, honestly, Like I didn't. I didn't know if I was going to have the opportunity to

even get that. Like when I saw the first picks of it, I hit every fucking contact I knew, like there and outside and whatnot. I was like, it was just impossible. Uh, And then I got the call and I said absolutely, And then uh, I was like, go, let's get it. And that's it. I can't really say much more about it. And I got got it, like a small box and kept it, kept it under wraps for like several years, just kind of sitting. I was,

I was in your guest room. I spent the night one time in your guest room, and like I literally turned to the right and then like that, there's this shelf right next to the bed in the guest room and there was just like a pile of white shirts. And I was like okay. And then I saw like a little corner of like the print. It was like a little purple thing, and I was like, no way, and I turned it over like what like why is this? Why is this like like you know, ball, like next

to your bed. And then the craziest thing was I said too easy best. I was like, yo, do you think Dre this is after I met him? Do you think he has a purple on white? What do you know?

He shows me the picture of what you took. Literally, like I took a picture of it and I sent it to Jacob because I was like if anybody knows what this is, it's going to be Jacob, you know, because like Drey was sleeping, I was gonna ask him, but like Drey was seeping, I was like, okay, let me take a Jacob and Jacobs like, dude, that's crazy, Like there's so many fakes of that. It's like a super controversial, controversial box logo. But if Drey has it

is legit. Like Jacob said that, so the craziest thing. And then you and I know you wanted to Purple's your favorite color. So I'm really happy were able to get it completed. The purple collection. I'm just missing I'm missing one the lakers you had to do with to him, had to do with him, But I know, I wish I actually had more of those, but um, the last one the only one I had of the like the purple with the yellow box um sold to fed As Italian. But um, you know, go into it, like even though

I really love that one, I can't. You can't just pick one, you know what I mean. You know the white gold Japan or Japan. Yeah, man, I love that thing. The first time I saw it, it it was insane, you know what I'm saying, Like metallic gold. I always love the gold foil prints, Like you know, it kind of comes back all the time in street where like people stre doing the foil and then it gets played out. What do you think of the Holo all those different

other Holo colors, like the Holograms. I like them. The problem is that you couldn't really like wash them. Remember when those things came out, Like I busted out of a class, like to go get that ship. But my purple one, I can literally peel the box. I go off. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't really meant to be like washed. It was like a cool thing they did. They kind of did for the time. But I'd say, like the one that really looked like the close to me was

the Pollock one. Okay, there you go, just because he's a he's an artist, his work and just look, I love this. I love Speckle Man. I'm not gonna sit here like like some jackass and pretend to know absolutely everything. I'm not a fucking Encyclopedia almanac for for like Supreme, I mean, I've been doing it a long time, like probably one of the first I was selling it online.

I'm collecting it just as long. But um, you know, I don't know the exact date, but it was definitely like pre my era, so it's definitely nineties, late nineties something or whatever. But that's one that I definitely like the most. If I had to like really just say one, probably that one, but there's you know, we could talk about a you know, the top five or something, but whatever, whatever it is. Wow. Well, Kis, do you have any any burning question that you want to Yeah? I got

two questions. Um. The first one is pretty simple. It's it's like, what's one item that came in there that was like I can't believe we have this or I can't believe I owned this. Oh man, that's a that's a great, great question. I'm glad you asked that too. Um. So obviously they came out with the Santa Cruz bike. Supreme came out with the Santa Cruz bike this uh

this season. But yeah, so I have one of the original I've seen it, yeah commercial you know Bmwoklyn Machine Works and you haven't showed that yeah on post or anything have not. It's incredible. I love it. Yeah, we were definitely gonna do a little bit of unveiling because we're opening up the store on Librea in Los Angeles, UM one for two North Librea. Shame wasn't plagged once again, We're all we're all gonna pull up no shame. Is it open now, right or it's still no, no, no,

it's it's gonna open soon. Um. Hopefully it opens uh in January UM, and you will be able to see that piece of history, that piece of art in there that's sick. Yeah. So that is probably the one thing that that I was able to obtain that was incredible. Yeah. Well, there's there's a couple of things you can't really mention showed you before, but we can't even like talk about that beep. Yeah, alright. My next question is a kind

of like a spicy one. Who's like one person that came in there that you're like, why the hell did we let this guy in? You could? You could hang, you could pass if you want. You trying to ask some controversy something podcast. Some things that will pass, but some things I won't. Man, Rich the kid, you know, damn the kid. You'll hold on hold on the kid. The first that ugly guy told me the same thing. He's like, no, no, Rich the kid. You remember that beef I had with him like a year ago, two

years ago or no year and a half ago. Remember when you were saying like fuck easy bust that he was saying like I stuck stuff did But yeah I did he was wearing fake Yeah, he was like, dude, that fool that fool um scam one of my friends. He'd like scanned him out of two racks. Basically, Um, my friend had the kind of like a little private store kind of like similar to what Dre had, but

it was in his apartment and enriched. The kid pulled up and he took like a Betty Boom jacket and like the yellow Human Races and other and like a few other things. And my friends like, okay, like you know, I'll hook you up like whatever whatever, but it's gonna cost X amount of money. I think it was like eight d bucks or something like that. So then they're like, okay, let's go to the bank. So rich the kid goes to the bank. Maybe he's rich now, but like back then,

he definitely wasn't. He could only withdraw three dollars from his bank account. And he's like, oh, yeah, I got you. Don't worry in a few days, like I got you, right, So my friend texted him next day in no response, texted him a week later, no response, two weeks later, no response. Rich the kid blocked him on Instagram, and

then the completely just stopped responding right. He owed him like fifteen hundred bucks, which, like, you know, it's a rapper who has the name rich in his name, has a word rich in his name, you know you think he can afford bucks, right, So I got pissed about that, so I started creeping his Instagram and I saw I was wearing some fake turtle doves. So I called him out for scamming my friend and then the fake turtle doves,

and he blocked me. He turned his account on private for like a whole week, he turned off all his comments, um, and then he started commenting this ridiculous stuff on my post, like oh, you've never even met Kanye. Uh, you gotta get off Kanye's dick, like all this stuff like, and I was like, bro, this has nothing to do with the fact that you're wearing fake easies and you scam my friend. And I told him. I was like, all this can stop. All you have to do is just

pay my friend back and I'll delete the post. And he never did. But um, one time he posted like he was in New York and I was in New York and like I d M him, like as a joke. I was like, well, good, like you know, and then he responded, and he goes where you're at straight, Like I could show you that right now. I mean, I'll show you later, but like, dude, Like I was like,

is this dude really gonna kick my ass? And then I did I tell you the story about the seven fourth seven event when I was with him in the same elevator. Dude, I was at the seven four seven event, the Adida's Warehouse event, and like there was a v I P area because Adida's invited us to come out, and I got in the elevator with like my friend Patrick and oh no, I don't remember. No, I don't think he was in the elevator. I think he got in the elevator before me, because like everyone was trying,

did you did you go to the seven course? Yeah? I remember, I saw that the elevator that takes you two takes you to the Yeah. So like this, I don't think it was the second day or the first day, or I don't remember whatever it might have been. Like it was so busy and the people were literally swarming in the elevators, and like I got in first, and then I see riched the kid and he walked in with two of his bodyguards. He's like two huge, six ft five ripped, crazy looking like mo fos, And I

was like, honestly, I'm scared shitless. I wasn't scared uh of Rich the Kid because he's like, he's like way shorter than me and really scrawning. I probably could have kicked his ass, but like the fact that he was with his bodyguards, he probably just sent them at me, like he didn't recognize me. Thank god I wear the

mask right, But I don't know. I just thought it was super funny, like if he wanted to scrap, Like you know, I don't throw hands with you know what I'm saying, but you would never probably Yeah, but a huge bit and um like from what you told me that happened at the warehouse, of which you know, I want you to share that. But I had this. I had to say my two cents about Rich the Kid. Funk that guy. That's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, it makes you, dude, trust me, it makes you event when

somebody looked the same ship. I've heard this guy he steals from his fans, like all kinds of stuff like that's corny man plus nothing. He's like a joke of the industry anyway, you know what I means, Like, you know, he finessed his way in, like you know, you can talk about that forever, but like what whatever, you know what you do to me? You're coming to my house and start talking to this big game about like how much you're gonna give me for free to post because

this store over there on this street. Like I don't even I'm not gonna sit here and try to like say other people's names out there, but you know people are paying this dude, like you know what four thousand worth dollars worth of stuff for for a hundred dollar bill just to post and shoot like that is the first thing you come at me with. Come on, get out of here with that, go back to kindergarten, Like this is the big leagues, bro, you know what I'm saying. Like,

and so that's the kind of ship. And then he had another dude like rolling around like trying to like stick sticks it in a bag and in the end, yeah, yeah, yeah, he had a dude like putting extra ship in the bag. I found that because I was like, yo, something's up with that. And then um, you know he started asking for this for this beanie for free and I was like, bro, I'm not giving you ship for free. Like kill that noise, bro, like for real, like he would go go get that

from somewhere else. And in the end, this guy drives off and he just happened to be out the back and closing up this this sliding door, and all of a sudden I see him putting putting that beanie on his car and he's driving off. He locks eyes with me, and I was like, motherfucker, really, I called him up and I just let him have it big time, like probably no one's ever talked to him like that before, like a fucking daddy being down on a red headed

step child, you know what I mean. Like, And then uh, it's like, oh yeah, you know, I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna take care of you. I'm gonna pay you all this stuff obviously crickets. I don't even care. Man, it's not about the money, dude. That what do we sell that being for like eight bucks or something like that.

It's like, bro, that's like some dude that's like coming in your house and like stealing ship from you while you're like making him a making something to eat for him or something, you know, what I mean like coming in like talking to all this crazy stuff, like with crumbs in your pocket, like bro, come on and get out of here. But yeah, I mean it's crazy. So situations like that man Dexter or was it just was

it just Rich the kid? Yeah? Yeah, yeah that I mean, this is a you know, a long story that came through. But it's like ridges the came in with that, with that nonsense and like you know, it's gonna it's gonna show like yo, you have bad energy, bad karma is gonna come back to you. Bro. That's it. That's it. And it's like I don't I don't need that kind of shift around like at all. Yeah, but yeah, I mean funny story. I mean, like you know, and then

I see that du it again at like Nightingale. It was just like a big club out here and then all of a sudden we had like a couple of months. My boy had a table like right under the dad. It was like the main table in the center, and then they announced So yeah, it was just because come pulling up and I was like, oh, all right, let's

see what's up. So um, it was crazy because it's like bodyguards that you were mentioning was just holding off like uh, you know, making space on the crowd up there, and as it comes through, it comes to the table and I just stepped around from it was like it was good, bro, remember me, and he's like oh yeah, yeah yeah, and then it's as you can see, it just got a little tight and I was like, yeah,

you stole me for that, beanie. Bro. Oh no, it starts patting his pockets like man, I'm gonna take care of you. I'm gonna take I'm gonna pay you, I'm gonna I'll pull up. I just laughed it off because like, to me, it was worth just seeing that. And then like I guess he was supposed to do a song, but instead he just said on the I went on my Instagram too, and I did like a zoom in you know, on the face, busting everyone's ask like that,

Oh I did, Yeah, yeah. I was hilarious because like only people that knew what happened, you could like hitting your table. Sorry, it's like only people that knew what happened. Like You're sitting there and then like I'm zooming on him and it's like his whole night was just dusted from that. You know what I mean for me, that was worth that worth that beanie. But it's like, you know, I don't. I just don't don't go like that, you know what I mean, Like I don't need that ship.

You don't work around no man funck thieves, bro' like rapists. You know what I'm saying. Like it's the it's the worst. It's the worst, the worst. So yeah, I'm glad you asked that. It's a pretty good question. Like even with us, it's like we we do get a lot of free stuff. But like with with when when we go to Project Blitz, it's like I'll ask you, like, yo, how much for this? Like you'll hook me up? But I never asked for ship for free. No, you know, I mean that's your

hard work. That's like your business, you know what I'm saying. Like we're talking about it yesterday too, about how like you're you're a store, Like you're you go to the store and you buy stuff from that store, because that's the stores hustle. The store can't give you like free

stuff because how are they going to make money? Well, I think that I look, I think some kids have kind of realized like yo, when when you see like some dude constantly posting on It's like okay, like they're they're like probably like paying them off or some ship like that. As a store. It's like, yo, I don't make Supreme, right, so that busy helps their company like Nike and all this other stuff too, But we are

coming with our own line. It is Blitz, and because that is my own line, I'm very happy to to get you that have like supported like gift packages and whatever you like. You know what I mean, Absolutely, I'm gonna charge each other for our own ship, you know what I mean, Like come on, like yeah, you know if you if you have a brand like that's you

know that that's mine, that's helping. That's throwing out there, But like it doesn't help me if you're wearing Supreme really like I have a limited amount of them that I could buy, and you know what I mean, like that just that benefits that company more so than than myself. Yeah, but you know, I mean at the same time, like you know, selling it to like celebs, are people that are collectors, are they're hearing their stories of how they started?

Which of you guys don't mind? I'd like to ask you ask you guys, a little bit a couple of questions here and there too. But oh wow, he's going to be the host, not me that overtaken. Yeah, well mine has to be like on the Rated R channel, Rated R Easy Bust of podcast coming soon. But before we keep going, let's say, let's take a call. Let's see, let's see what one of the callers has to say. Maybe he has a question for Dre, or maybe he's directed for all of us. So, um, let's let's see

who we have on the phone. Hello, Hello, Yeah, what's up, dude? What's your name? My name is Luca. I'm from uh Croatia. Oh wow, what's up, Luca? I'm big fan of Dre and his Croatian style Instagram. I just want to ask him what does Croatian style mean to you? Um? What is it like the style of Croatia? Is it similar or different than Los Angeles? Give me some some insight here. Well that's funny, Well, good evening, but but well that's cool.

Like you must have you must have like grown up in Germany, a little bit a bit of a German accent, but uh, none of there is. There's a lot of tons of Croatians in in in Germany and stuff too, But in fact there's more Croatians outside of Croatia than than in the country, So there's a whole lot of Eastern European countries that are like that, yeah crazy right, So um, yeah, it's funny because everyone I get that

all the time. I get like these things, and I got like, you know, like get some have tons of Serbian friends too. But then I guess there's somethings that try to like touch shot or something. It's like fun Croatian style. It's all about Serbian style or or like some Greek guys random emails like from from like eBay eBay was like I was getting tons of these wild messages out of nowhere, but it really was has nothing

to do with like style per se. It was more so um like watching this old uh And it wasn't like a crazy dopass like good Fellas type, um Martin Scorsese like Mafia movie, but it was his old some kind of like b grade um Mafia movie and its Italian dudes, and it was like yeah, and he's like like busted some dude or whatever, and they're just like, yeah, that's how ship gets done. Italian style. And so I just came up with that and it became the Nike Talk name and my eBay name, and I was like, okay,

the Croatian style. That's how ship gets done, right, So that's where it's like, the way it gets done is Croatian style. Yeah, so that's kind of what it is. Yo, chais Can you give us some insight on your user name? Oh? Yeah, So when I was born my parents the name me kais. Oh you know what, I'll tell you something funny. Though

my name is actually spelled wrong. The original way to spell it is q A I S. My grandma when she was filling out the paperwork, you put q I A S. So people are like people who are actually at me and are like, yo, why do you spell your name wrong? I'm like, that's how you spell it. But I like it because it's like unique. You know, I have so many other friends that name spell it with the before is that your real last names? My last name, and people always mix it up, Like every

time I get into Uber, they're like omar. It's mainly because they don't know how to say my first name, but they really like people legit. Even since elementary middle school, everyone like just says your names in the wrong place. I'm like, no, Omar's my last name. Do you think it might be easier to, like, for people to pronounce it the first time if it was cut a I s because it's I don't know. I think it's really easy to say. I don't know why people have trouble.

It's like Q with ice. Sometimes people might say like key ice key ice case que dude. I've had some botchers, like some really queek week yo. I really don't mind. Like even when I go out to dinner, like when I ordered food and stuff like what name and like Star Wars, I'll be like Omar, it's just easier, I say Robert. It's funny because when I just when I got to restaurants, I say hi, my name is easy, and they're like, oh, what's up? Because I don't have

real name, first name easy, last name Buster. You know. Actually it's funny because my my uber name is actually easy really. Yeah. So it's because it's like my business account, so it was hooked up to my business, you know. So it's just it's just easy Buster for whatever reason. And every time I get picked up in an uber that like, are you easy? I'm like, yeah, it's me. It's a nickname. And they're like, oh, I thought Kanye was about to pull up. Like come on, man, has

anybody ever picked you up and knew who you were before? Yeah? One time, Yeah that's happened to me too. They like tweaked out. They're like, oh my god, like I've never seen you without the mask on. And I was like yeah, mine. Tried to play it cool and they're like, so, what do you do for a living? And explained there like and then like ten minutes they realized that they knew me. So I know, it's crazy. You guys have like really like a mega amount of like followers and stuff like

advice versa whichever. When you have more of like on YouTube or or Instagram. But yeah, it's it's crazy. One time I was in a hotel and the guy claim the thing came up was like, oh man, you Croatian style. I was like, Oh, that's funny to buy you a drink right now. I mean, it's so random, like at the was at the Mercer Hotel in New York too. Social media is I feel like you're just now putting your face out there, so you're gonna definitely see that

a lot more. I mean, you know, dude, we were in a Drapaneese restaurant the other day and like he's like, he's like, oh, you're the guy who sells the sneakers or whatever, like oh yeah, And then all the people who think you're Nikki Diamond. Oh yeah that people ask me if you guys are brothers. Oh dude, so let me let me. I mean, we're definitely brothers in in a sense of brothers. Yo yo yo yo, But um let me give you guys some context. So if you guys got Dre Dre Nicky Diamonds, the guy who started

Diamonds Applico are really really good friends. They've known each other for years how many years now, gosh, I mean too many account years at least. And they they they don't I don't think they look the same. I can definitely see that they have similar features, like maybe the facial hair. Uh maybe like like the hairstyle and uh kind of like the style. And they see you guys hanging out so much that sometimes they might mix you

guys up. So it's actually it's pretty funny, like if you guys check them out, like I one time, I was with you on your birthday. Remember we were I think we're at Jeezy's house and we were running down the stairs and like you ran by one chick and she was like, slow down, Nicky Diamonds. Oh yeah, that's hilarious. Yeah, hilarious. So funny. Yeah, it's it's happened. Uh, it's happened all the time. But the funny thing is like he actually gets sometimes he gets like me too, Like time he

hit me up. I think it was at a pool party and like some dude, I don't he doesn't know who it was, and Kidding pulled up on him as like yo, Dre, I need to bring Kidding to the warehouse. It's gonna be crazy, Like he wants to like pick up a ton of stuff and all this, and and he was He's like, oh yeah, dude, anytime, just like

run with it. I mean I do the same thing, Like someone comes up to me they want to take a picture and they're like yeah, look, and they sure that they have a diamond shirt on, and I'm like, yo, let's good. Sometimes there's I remember there was one time I was just like, oh dude, you know it's it's not me. But he's my good friend. And this guy was angry. He thought it was like really like trying to like funk with him, and he's like, dude, you

don't be such a dick man. Like I just want to take out a picture and said, dude, I'm showing you, like look this is me bro and this is Nick. Oh okay, And then they felt like a dude, but he yeah, I was angry, like, yo, what's open with kids? Do not be sensitive? Like you guys gotta not be sensitive. Stop being entitled. That that's completely something. Tell you guys like, yo, come on, we gotta we all got to be better than that. Let's go, So, can you give me a

yellow sensitive? Yeah, let me pull one right outre bro. Nick follows me and like I didn't even know he followed me, So I followed him back and then and I was trying to hit him up for the bees and I'm like, yeah, well, what's good, Like what's good at those yellow ones? You got one? Right? I mean like later on we'll we'll sort that out. But but like it was, it was that was that was a crazy drop. That was a crazy drop. I just got

my girl. Chris told me, yeahs seven and a half, but still if I'm not going to flex it, so I'll let her flex it. I mean, you just told us the price, so it was kind of a flex. Yeah. That's good. They go now in that size. I got a pretty good too. Yeah, Dre Dre war has the second you got him? Yeah, you know, you know it was really funny because I was at the booth two

and I was standing there. Nick's right there too, and I had people coming to me like, man, dude, this is a great release for you that and I was like I look back, like, oh yeah, can never follow you around the whole time. I swear it's it's unbelievable. I swear we should have a show somewhere. You guys don't look that much alike. That's what I'm saying. It's like a thing. It's like a quick glance like its like but I mean like like Blake Winn and Blazonera

kind of deal. Like you guys don't look anything like either. No, but it's like quick glance. You're like and like you picture sneaker YouTube and like whatever one's in your mind that's more fresh. You know, You're like, oh blaze, Yeah, I get mistaken for Denzel Washington all the time, Like, so I am Seth Faller, what are you talking about? Come on, yeah, right, a million coming soon? That's good? Are you actually doing it now? We'll get to that later,

but um, we'll get to that later. I'm gonna just brush that off. But anyway, So, Dre, I have a couple more questions for you, and then I opened it up again for kiss and Blasonery to asking any remaining questions that they do have. What do you think about the culture? Like, since you're since you're like the like the most o g out of all of us, because you've been doing this for like eighteen to like twenty years, right, Like, what do you think is wrong with the culture? Or

do you think nothing's wrong with it? Do you think it's going in the right direction? Like what do you think? Like what do you think about the whole thing? Like, I mean, I already know what you're I'm what I'm gonna say. You don't have to keep elaborating. I'm just gonna tell you because it's actually something that it's good that you you mentioned that you know me, like so well, it's like, yo, dude is gone way off, like everything

like what is this about? This everything just about how much something is worth now, Like that's not even why like I opened up, um I started even doing this in the first place, Like I built up a collection from Like how else would you amask like four thousand she was in a personal collection without being part of that industry unless you had you know, rich ass parents that grow up in blue collar family, like you know

what I mean. So but now it's like, dude, all the kids talk about it is like how much how much is this worth? Now? How much can of flip it for? What's the quick flip this and that? Like no one. I mean It's one thing to be happy about getting something and saying like oh yeah, cool, it's now it's worth this. I got it for that and whatnot, But you gotta, you know, you have to have some intention of what it means to you and and whatnot,

you know what I mean. Like, I'm sure if if the box will go here for him, like the like white and purple purpose his favorite color. So if that one was just like something that was a lot cheaper and they made tons of them and they were out there everywhere, he would love that one just the most more than you know what I mean? So right, so you know I did this, uh this event. If you google retrospective Known Gallery, you'll see pictures of it. Like

Complex did a video on it. It was it was pretty amazing and like it was right next sort of supreme on Fairfax. It did it November two thousand fifteen. Drake allowed to have as some of his like unreleased pairs in the middle. I had some of the special ones there, but we had like four thousand shoes hanging from the rafters in the art gallery. And it was really because the sneakers itself were art. Right, It's a design,

so whatever it meant to you. It's like whether it's a design, the athlete that wore them, the colors about it, you know what I mean, there's something the materials whatever, you like, pony hair, like petting, soft things whatever it is, right, there was something about the shoe that you liked. So now you just come in and it's like, oh yeah, it's what same thing in the art world, right, Art is art, and there's like people that see it in different ways, but there's a lot of people that just

jump in. It's like they're in it now, just buying, flipping, holding on it. It's just because of what, you know, the value of what it is. But going back to sneakers and all that, it's like, dude, everyone just kind of like looking at it like, yo, oh this I'm wearing the most. Um, I mean we did that that cool like skit was like a spoof spoof skit, right. I mean obviously wouldn't you wouldn't wear that altogether like that,

but it was kind of funny to put that together. People. Yeah, but people, yeah, you're you're coined that that phrase that and it's like you you don't even um, you know, people are you gotta look at it like uh, okay, people are buying the shoes because of what it's worth and not because of like what it meant or the color like rarity is cool, Like okay, you're like rare stuff.

But you know, there's there's got to be something that's like out there too that that kind of like touches you you know what I mean pause like winking him and I said, um, but you know what I mean, Like there has to be something and I'll just wrap it up so I don't want to like drag it out so that if you look up and look up the pictures was like rafter wall to wall. It was not touching the while I was hanging down and it

was like a big party. It was like an incredible energy and we had to open the rest of the weekend. There was like some kids coming through and I had this one guy and he was coming through every day and he was looking through it and he's like, he's like, man, like I love this, Like I want to have a collection. I probably never have something like this one day, but just to have even something small part of it, like can you help me find something? I was never able

to get him that. Uh it was an eminem Jordan's two and at eight and a half, like he wanted. I just couldn't. I couldn't find that that size for a while and I lost touch with him. But if you're out there and you're here this like hit me up on the on the d M again. But um yeah, like uh, and that's what it's all about. Like I've done all these events and all this stuff trying to, you know, get people to to see the different side of everything, like look at SBEs coming back me and

I hit up Nick. I was in Japan. I came up with this concept. I called him up from Japan, like, yo, dude, I got this thing for the next complex con. We gotta do this. And he was like, dude, this is crazy. We got to do this. It's gonna be insane. I couldn't get the brand involved, but we said, okay, cool, let's that was the ramp. That was a ramp. I said, Yo, we'll just tell the story that's not going to be told.

Let the other things go down, and we're gonna like tell that story fifteen years as b was like dead and I had a crazy ask like sp collection, I wanted to like put it out there, and we put it. We like put the diamond dunks all on top. We had the highs and the lows, and then we had everything in that in that thing, like basically every dunk that that was like made samples only missing like one that most people don't know about, but everything else was

in there and including grs and one on. Everyone was like going around and taking pictures randomly, like girls that had no clue, and it became like this experience, right, So it told his story and was and it brought drew people from the outside asking what it was about,

and um, you know what's cool? And then then I got like the interest of the guys that was shopping with us, we said, and I was like, yo, cool, like let me get started having you guys wear all this stuff and you know naturally like your travels is like yah, I want to get to S B S. And Chase was like, you know, those guys were like I used to love those shoes, didn't get didn't get them when they were like young, when they were coming out.

So it was really dope to see, like now how everything's going down and coming just from you know, diamonds got I got another collab. They've got three color ways based on what we did. That complex fun and that's like real energy. That's not hype. It's not like um, it's not fake. It's you know, it's real. It's something that was actually established and created. Didn't sell anything, and it was like a charity thing we had Retina made tease and we were like selling them as a charity

and then like raffling off like pairs. You weren't like profiteering off it, you know what I mean. And that would look what that turned into. It turned into three new color ways. It turned into like all this energy being back in the s B and you know it feels good to be I guess maybe in an architect to that, like I'm just gonna go out and say it like, hell yeah, I'm I'm happy that like to see that it's real. It's not like some fake Instagram ship. It was like really something that like has is now

showing a year later like it's going down. So I think that that if you, if we can focus on doing things like that and having kids inspired to be like yo, I want to I love this style more than this one. I love thistle. I'm gonna collect this style or collect all styles of this brand and that brand. I think then you're gonna find a resurgence and like into like culture and not just about like you know

what everything is. And I think we tell those stories like when we've you know, you've done videos and you came over and stuff, you know what I mean, Like you it's starting it's starting to like it's getting there, you know what I mean. If you start doing that, everyone will continue and then you've you're creating a whole new era, you know what I mean. So, so like just to kind of summarize everything, you think that kids these days are more about flexing than actually the history

of the shoe. And what you want to do is, um show them, showcase things that these events that kind of inspire people to care more about the history and the design and the art issue more so than oh, how much are your shoes worth? Yeah, because I catch myself doing that all the time, just because I'm more so intrigued. I'll be like, yo, dre, like how much is this worth? Like this is really old, like this

is blah blah bah. Yeah, but that's fine, that's cool, Like, but don't be consumed by it, like like if you're if you're, if your daddy is like has like millions and and okay, cool. It's easy to show like supreme Louis Vuitton all over the place. We know, we know, we know a couple of those guys. But well there's I mean, there's there's there's and like there's nothing wrong with having money, but it's just about how you portray yourself and and how you like to dream about it.

So yeah, but look at it. If you if you go look at um, you know, for example, you know you go to foot Locker, right and they did that black and yellow pack all those shoes, like those things aren't really going on anything, right, those Airmax and and all that stuff that were black and yellow. But I thought they were great, that whole the whole pack. Not necessarily just because I'm a Steelers fan, but I love

black and yellow, and it was a cool thing. And it just kind of went back to the days of when like Fuller had their own stuff, Finish Line had their own like Airmax color ways. You know, stories that have like there's a there's layers and different stuff going

on so people actually can go. I mean, bro, we grew up going to like the mom and pop Korean store owned or whatever, whatever ethnicity ethnicity they owned in your area, and like you had that camaraderie and going to a full locker waiting in line trying to get the new Jordan to come out, right. I mean, dude, it doesn't exist anymore, you know what I mean, Like people would just get in line. There's like a line of like a ton of people and raffles and all

this crap and nonsense. It's not getting in in like proper hands. Now you got like apps just coming in like oh yo, selling me, selling me, selling me, and then what do you have left? You have? But just like people just selling and the people buying just I think are becoming few and few, you know, like it's going on, but like there's way more. I mean, it's changed, it's changed for something else. But I think that there is like people that wanted to want like real authenticity

to come back. So I'm gonna be I'm definitely I'm gonna be here. I'm gonna be driving it to write. Let me make a comment on on what you just said basically, like and I have one more question after this too before we take another call. But um, because you said you have like a problem with all all the raffles and stuff, like, how do you feel about like these stores forcing people to wear the shoes out the door? There was literally one store that that forced you.

I don't remember what it was, but like they made you wear one of the sneakers and then you had to wear them around and prove it that you wore them all day, and then you come back to the store and they give you the other shoe. And then there's another place that you have to give them your shoes and then they ship you at complex on this year, what what was that app zen? Zen? Was it zen? If they were given away like airmags and like turtle doves, and you know, some kid walked out with legend of

Summer ones. He told me he was a fan of me, like blazonry, like you remember. I was like, yeah, actually did I met him in like a sneaker con. He literally opens a bro like came here, came here, shows me he's got like ten thousand pair of shoes and his like want to walk them out to Tokyo five Tokyo five, but they made them wear them out, Like

how do you feel about that? Do you think? Do you think it's it's good to like force people to like uh to like wear them because like the touching back on the whole art did you see how they were walking like someone were walking like that a stick up the rest. But at the same time, like someone like me, like with certain shoes, I don't want to wear them because they're like an art piece to me,

you know what I mean? So like so so like there's that argument, you know, like my rud October is like I'm going to wear them one day, but for right now, like they're literally displayed in my room as like an art piece and as a symbol of my success last year because I worked my ass off and like, that's the shoe I've wanted since two thousand and thirteen and I finally got it five years later, and like from a really good friend and you know, basically family,

So like that meant a lot to me. So like that's a shoe that, you know, even though my future wife will probably kill me, but if I wore that, I'm like, that's something I'd want to wear on my wedding day, even though even though I can't. What what would you do if he said you have to if you want it, you have to walk out wearing it. I mean, I know Dre wouldn't force that on me, but in a way, I would be upset because I

wanted to keep them like dead sock. But at the same time, I'd be kind of happy because like someone would kind of take me out of my shell and make me wear them, because I know for a fact that that pair of October's I'm never going to sell, those are going to be I don't care what happens. I don't care if my I don't I don't care if my Instagram page gets deleted tomorrow, my YouTube channel goes to ship, if I have to sell everything else.

Those are octobers are still going to be in my room, same way with my Nike mags as a symbol of my success. And I bought them with my own money, saved up reselling. It took me four years to buy that. Yeah, man, it's it's just cool. That's that's the forty two dollars Paypalin Voice. I wish I was rich. No, So they're thousand eleven ones and they came out in two thousand and love it. But then I bought them and I got them and the right lights worked, not the left ones.

That's and I had the box and everything in the metal card in the which pair number. That's dope. That's a that's a great story. That's like, that's real. It's authentic, man, Like I have the these things. When you see these dudes, the stories are all like bullshit on my paypalastory, the papals stories, the stories are are real, but like some of these kids are like, Okay, I hate sneakers. I don't give a shit about them. I'm just gonna go into concepts and get a pair of green lobsters just

to sell them. Yeah, that like I gets out there yeah, all the hood come out, Like I know dudes that have been like just the hustle, like uh, you know drugs, Yeah, do that. I get the hustle. But at the same time, I feel like, I don't know, does it doesn't really take away from the culture? Like what do you think? Because this is my last question before we take a call, Like does it really take away from the culture? Because I feel like even people who don't care about sneakers

are reselling sneakers, So does that make it better? Because like it's like, oh my god, like everyone cares because you know, it's not it's not necessarily that. Like no one even said the word like resell back in the day, Like no one did, Like you just didn't you just say oh yeah, like a sold them and flipped on whatever. We like you never had that terminology just started becoming this crazy thing. I mean, look, they say doing online release is going to solve a lot of problems, but

that's not true. Now you got like money into it, You've got people with like you know, two thousand square foot um office space with like tons of computers in it, and it's like a um, you know, it's like a Chinese room full of Chinese students like killing it on like bots, just getting paid to like and they're they're raking in like so much I mean so much quantity. It's it cansane. It's like, oh wow, you have you are now just giving it instantly to like this to

the groups that are able to do that. Like I could have built that that whole system you put in, like in a system like that, and bro, you're gonna bypass a lot. You get the right engineer involved if you're gonna bypass all this stuff. I never did it because but you know what it's like, Look, I always had a ton of principles, but I feel like I screwed up on that one. Like I should have said, you know what, if you can't like beat it, you

might as well join it. And I should have just done that, and I would have saved saved a lot of heart because they're already cool. Let's just run it too, you know what I mean, Because it's they're taken away from like the kids experience that getting it in front of stores and whatnot and just becoming that and they say, oh yeah, safety and all that's like, dude, safety just because you're putting a little around in one place, like

I think everyone's like hurting each other. Brother. You see what happened in Miami with the soul flies, Yeah, yeah, like people were people got arrested. That was crazy. Like do you remember in two thousand eleven but the year before they did they did shootings? Oh yeah. And then there was a story like right after the Triple Black seven fifties that came out like one store and or got shot outside and he got killed over a pair of shoes. Wait really a storem wow, I didn't know about.

I don't remember where it was, but like I remember reading that story and I was like, wow over a pair of three hundred fifty dollars worth of like fake leather and plastic. Now, but at that time, it's probably when I first came out. So those things are going through like three thousand, but yeah, they're going first. What I'm saying, the element is just out there, like everybody knows about no human life is worth a pair of shoes,

you know? No, I like, no, no, absolutely, I totally agree with life is worth any But what is that My life is worth like two air mags. But but that's all I'm saying. But do you but do you like not want to have like do not want to have like releases to the public anymore? Like no, I do, and I do I do. Everyone knows how many there is of of stuff and you just gotta you don't need to have there's only a hundred hundred pairs of this anymore. Like a hundred pairs back in like two

thousand three was was rare enough. Now there's millions and millions of millions more people involved, Like having a shoe out there, it's like twenty quantity is pretty limited, you know what I mean. So when people talk, oh yeah, they's a lot, it's like it's not a lot, you know, there's you know what I mean. But uh yeah, yeah, obviously,

like you know, but I just don't. I don't feel that like flooding the online space with a bunch of pairs out there, it's just funneling into bots and people that are just all throwing it up on on the various um selling apps and whatnot, all at the same time, So you just have this whole big devalue of product and all kinds of stuff. It's to me, it's just it's complete craze. I mean, there's not one person can change or fix that at all. Like it is what

it is. You just have to kind of devise a new system to to get things in the proper hand. That's actually one thing I'm get involving Blitz into it. Should it should be pretty cool. So cool. We'll keep keep eyes on that for sure. Well, I'm looking forward to I wanna I want to ask you a few more questions. But let's take a let's take a caller real quick. Hello, Hello, Hey, what's up man? What's your name? Yo? Yo? What's up? Guys? This is uh Slim from l a O.

What's up? Slim? I just I just want to say, Yo, guys, I'm a really big fan. Been following all you guys for a pretty long time. I was I was actually wondering if there was no streetwear, no more sneakers, none of that, what you guys might be doing instead as far as like a career goes or what you would like to do if there was, if you guys didn't have YouTube, you know, sneakers, all that stuff. Yeah, that's a that's actually great. That's a great question. Um, do

you guys want to start off? I mean, do you know who Rocco Saffretti is you know, yeah, he's like an Italian porn star, probably following his footstep. No, I mean truthfully, well, I'd probably just be in like nightlife, nightlife and entertainment architect. I was going to be an architect. Uh what a dea I was gonna. I was planning

to be a doctor. And I have all these medical books from when I was a kid, and throughout middle school and high school, I was in premed club and then I joined like this special a heck, Charlotte Doctor's Club where like you, we wore scrubs every month and you learned about all those special things and heard from speakers. And once I wasn't going to college, I just dropped that whole dream. What about you guys, probably something with acting. Yeah, yeah.

Moved to l A regardless and try to do that. And I tried to do it when I first moved to l A before the YouTube took off. But I just like focus more on YouTube and it worked. So yeah, No, I I was in med school. I dropped out. I was I was always my whole life. I want to be a doctor. My parents really hard on me, uh doctor lawyer, and that with me. It was just like my mom wanted me to be a doctor. My dad hated the because anyway, Yeah, like I I was in med school. I I dropped out, Uh for a couple

of reasons. I actually got surgery, and you I killed two boards of one stone. I started my YouTube channel. I decide, you know what, I didn't drop out, actually took a year off and then, um, now I've taken two years off. Like school is always going to be there and um and this isn't always going to be there. But you know, I think that it's very important for

people to understand that. You know, there's plenty of celebrities or actors or YouTubers even who we're popping at one point and then they spend all their money and now

they're not doing anything. Now they're screwed. And but there's also plenty of the smart ones get get their money invested, reinvested in themselves and in their businesses, even if it's not popping or like like Ashton Kutcher that dude hasn't made a movie and like what like with ten years I'd like year, bro, that dude's worth like two fifty million dollars because of all the investments that he's made and it's just in like like that's real money. That's

like you can't even make that much money acting. It's like p Diddy and that's really smartment with Surrock and you know, fifty cent with like vitamin water and like jay Z Carters of course, like it's it's really important. Like everyone who's listening, I want you guys to know, like even if you guys get a large sum of money, don't go and spend it all on a sneaker. Don't be soldier boy. Yeah, don't be soldier boy. Don't spend all your money. Boys with a lot of not anymore.

I think I said that the other day and they shot me down. Now I know, like someone someone I asked him, he's broke all his always watches and his chains, they're all they're all fake. I don't know. Do you think why is he wearing fake jewelry for this dude's bawling. I don't know. But you know, Richard Kid definitely won't be rich for a long time. Yeah. I mean there's a lot of people who, like, you know, do well, That's what I'm saying, but like there's a lot who don't.

So you know, if if all goes to ship, I'll go back to med school. Um, it's definitely gonna take a little bit of getting used to go back. And I'm sure that you know, John Carlos could have maybe like a similar path and Dre. You know, Drey is killing it. He's he's not going anywhere, and you're killing I'm never gonna go back to school. No, I'm not. I'm always school. I like, I'm always finding a hustle. So if this doesn't work out, I'll find another to

add to that too. I want to also make this important for a lot of other younger audiences out there. Don't drop out of school. Don't drop out of school number one, but number two, UM, make sure that if you're gonna be eighteen and you want to pursue a life like this and kind of that, don't throw your money away for rent by a place and then rent it out after two years and getting a property. I told him that. My dad told me that years ago. And that's why I'm buying my first place. And that's

why I'm not out of North Carolina. It's because I've been saving my money. I want to buy that crib. I want to rent it out in two years, I want to own more property. Yeah, there's a lot of ways you can invest your money, Like you don't have to go straight for the property, but no, no, But

it's it's important. Make sure you're reinvested in yourself. That's that's the thing that's like like Dre you know, does millions and millions of dollars every year in sales, but he reinvests everything back into the business, which is really important. So make sure you guys do that, reinvest in yourselves and if you have a passion, go for it because it's so important, like that you do something in your life that you love to do. I wake up every morning and I'm happy, Like I love what I do.

I think it's amazing that I get to, you know, be a part of so many people's lives and bring them happiness and joy every time they see me post the photo or post the video or whatever it might be like, and that brings like happiness to my heart. And you know, making people laugh and make people entertained. It's like something that I love to do. The reason why I wanted to be a doctor is because I wanted to help people and like, you know, save lives.

But in a way, you know, by entertaining and you know, but what's what you said about how like some kids walked up to you and said they wanted to commit suicide and then like one of your videos like brought them out of that dark hole and like that mindset like we're we're we're saving lives out here in a sense, you know, and obviously not like as direct as like a physician or whatever. Our impact on people can really you can say one thing to someone and it can

change in the life, of course. And that's why it's so important that we go to these sneaker cons and everyone and like and it's like, I, you know, it's good to have these interactions with these kids to just say like, hey, like, I appreciate you, and you know, I appreciate every single one of you guys. And I don't know which camera to look at, but I appreciate every single one of you guys. And I'm sure that

you know everyone here will say the same. So Um, with that said, like, do you guys have any other questions for Dre Are you ready to go get food? Yo? I'm fucking starving. Yeah, do you have any other questions guys? Um? No,

I don't think so. I think I got the two of that I wanted to ask out the way, So yeah, you know, I want to like say something to like this is like the whole YouTube space is something that I was neglected back back when it really started opening up into that to that level and and um man, you guys really just changed my whole like outlook on it all because you know, I'm very honest, Like, coming before, I was like, Yeah, who the funk are these guys?

Who are these guys? Because I started getting hit up by people and it was kind of like the same thing. They were like, Yo, what are you gonna give me to to come in there? I'm like, oh, what are you talking about? Who? Who are you? You know what

I mean? And like like I was really like just outside of that, I was like building, building, building, and um and then like you know, when you guys started coming in, I got to know you guys, Like, man, you guys are like good, You're doing different, completely different, Like you know, it's all it's sneaker related and streetwear and whatnot, but it's like you all have your own

different touch and everything on it. I think that's like amazing and great and like from the outside, and of course it's gonna be of course you're gonna get haters, people talking ship and when not everyone everyone does, like myself, all you and even the people like sitting around here there aren't involved in the conversation. But um, I think it's great. It's just kind of like, you know, being you and giving your own own outlook on everything. And

I think that's like dope. And I was like, you sat there and went back and started watching some of your you guys old stuff like when I especially when I met you guys, started looking at all this stuff. You know, it's cool. I mean I appreciate that. Like the passion you guys will have is like real. You know, I'm about that. It's like real, dude, real. If it's fake, I'll bust it. So did you go back and watch that vlog that I did from that pop up on

Fairfax you had? Which one the with the galot like when you put all the shoes, the one you were talking about earlier? I didn't see that. Yeah, I'm gonna send you the link. I'm gonna go. I want to see that because I was a way before that's when you started. Yeah, that's when that's when I started doing more sneaker stuff. And uh, I was living in l A and all my boys were visiting and we're like, yeah, we gotta go check this out. And we were like

drooling over the freaking Ovio sneakers. Dude, I gotta see I'll send it to you. Yeah, so damn we gotta do something like that recap or some ship with that. Well, honestly, I wish that thing was like open, open longer because it felt such a good I know you were there, so I was there literally the last day, like I wanted to go the whole time. I was so busy and finally were able to go, we like walk there

from the grove. I brought my camera but wait, wait, which was that you guys had a stick and was like filming everything from top to bottom. There was someone that was doing that. Maybe I don't think so, I think I just had my mittle g seven next at the time. But yeah, we had it. We just had it, made it open. We just like everyone to kind of like go from I was looking out like trying to find people that had like footage of it out there. It was that I wouldn't even think of going to

like YouTube exactly. That was like, um, it was like motivation because that's before I had all my expensive sneakers, Like you walk in there and it was like, God, I want this, like I want this, Like it motivated me because I just moved to l A and I like didn't know anybody in the industry and it was

like this freaking gallery. So it was meant to be like damn, like this is straight motivation, and like most of the shoes that were in there that I really wanted I was able to get over the past two years. So it's like like I would love to see more of that type of stuff. So hell yeah, dope that that kind of like that, man, we gotta watch that. Yeah, we'll watch it. We'll watch together, watch it when we

go eat. Yeah yeah right now, thank you. But yeah, man, we we were all gonna come check out the pop up, so it's gonna be really sick. I was kind of involved in like the behind the scenes, you know, we had a some long nights and I'm really excited to see it come into fruition. We're all definitely all gonna be there. Like, IM so proud of you for everything last year. This year is only gonna get better. Like, thank you for like being such a strong part of

my life. I really appreciate it man, Like your friendship like means so much to me. And I gotta goes for all you guys. But um, great podcast, great show, Thanks for having me, Thanks thanks for coming man, like, I appreciate I know how busy you are and like just for you to sit here and you know, just give us, give us the time of day, like it means a lot. So cool. Thanks man, and that was legit check. Appreciate you guys, See you next time. M.
