What's going on, guys. Welcome to another episode of Legit Check. I'm your host, Easy Busta who it's uh. It's been a rough couple of weeks, and every week we just get more and more. You know, I hope that things are going to open back up. And you know, we've had a couple of sneaker releases, which is good, and a couple of updates on some sneakers, so that means that slowly things are starting to get better because everything was getting delayed indefinitely, which is really really sad um.

Last week we had the drop of the Air Jordan five fire reds, and you know, they're actually reselling a little bit. And I didn't think that they would resell because they had like a shock drop kind of like a couple of weeks before and they sat for a while, and now this time they sold out and I think they're going for about fifty to eighty dollars over retail, which is, you know, not bad, but you know, with tax and everything, you end up only making like thirty bucks.

But still it's great fire Red obviously classic color way. I think maybe part of the reason why that shoe is doing so well is because of the Michael Jordan's documentary that has been playing over the last few weeks. A lot of people have been watching, and a lot of sneakers have been going crazy because that like the Jordan one Chicago's, which used to be like a seven to eight hundred dollar shoes now going for like thirteen right after the episodes of The Last Dance came out

came out, I think that's what it's called. It's called The Last Dance. I'm pretty sure. I'm not exactly sure. I actually haven't watched it, and I have made it a goal of mine to watch the whole series all the way through. I definitely should, I should keep up to date on my Jordan's history. But I have enjoyed all the memes that have come out of it thus far, and I'm sure I'll understand them more when actually start watching it. So definitely on my to do list for Quarantine.

But I hope all you guys are doing well back at home. I know it's a real rough time right now for everybody. It's not just for you guys, it's you know, for me and for pretty much everyone I know, and um, the least I could do is just give you guys some content, and your boy hasn't posted again in a month. I told myself I wouldn't do that again, but I'm kind of a perfectionist with everything, and whenever I make a video, I will literally scrap it on the spot if I don't even like like one small

part of it. And it's really frustrating because I'll film and edit for hours and then I'll end up not liking it and I have to scrap the whole thing and that's literally just like ten, ten fifteen hours just wasted. So I apologize, but we'll be getting on the content grind coming soon. But I'm really happy that you guys are tuning in every week for legit check. It makes me really happy that you guys are listening. We have gotten a absurd amount of new listeners. Shout out to

all you guys. I appreciate you guys, and they will be and you give away coming soon. So for everyone that's listening, that's here from the giveaway that I did on YouTube for the Off White Fives. The winner will actually be announced this weekend. I think if the day I'm recording this makes sense, then it should be announced

this weekend. So shout out to all you guys who downloaded the podcast, because this was one of the main parts of the giveaway, and I hope you guys stick around and actually, you know, enjoy and listen to the podcast, especially during these hard times. If you guys are just chilling at home and getting some work done and you guys just wanna hear me talk about sneakers and kind of like the world as a whole, then make sure

you guys tune in. But this week has been not the most eventful week in sneakers besides the fire Reds of course. Um some Jordans are going up. I noticed, like bred ones are going up, and um some I forgot what else is going up, But like just because of the last days, and one sneaker that I'm so excited for it is dropping at the end of this month, Fingers Crossed is the Chunky Donkey Nike sp So it is a collab that Nike is doing with Ben and Jerry's.

I love Ben and Jerry's I always have And as you guys can tell by how thick I am, I love Ben and Jerry's a little bit too much. So I think that Wow, I definitely I'm gonna get clowned for that. But anyway, Um, the Chunky Donkeys are coming out at the end of May, which is not confirmed yet, I think, but they were actually supposed to come out

at the beginning of May and they never dropped. And I guess the only sneaker releases that really happened over the last few weeks were the fire Reads and some gr stuff and then the um the four twenty like reverse skunks. I don't know exactly what they're calling them, but I mean, I guess there are a reverse skunks, and I think that's like the best way to describe them. But those shoes are going for astronomical amounts of money. They're going for four to five thousand dollars, which blows

my mind. I mean, it doesn't make sense though, because they're so limited. There's only four pairs because of the holiday four twenty, which is kind of funny to me. Um that Nike makes the shoe every year for weed. I actually I don't smoke myself, so I don't partake in those activities, but I think that the sneaker that comes out in four twenty every year is normally pretty dope,

so I'll give them that. That's my celebration of four twenties, like looking at new sneakers and hopefully trying to get them. But the reverse gunks are sick. I can't believe they're going for that much money. I really thought that they would go for like, you know, one to two thousand because of how rare they are. But I mean, as bees are so hype right now that you know things can go for pretty much anything, like it's it's it's crazy.

I have some as Bees that I bought for I think three to four hundred dollars and now they're going for for over like hundred to two thousand dollars, which actually blows my mind, like crazy. I I bought them not thinking that they were going to be an investment. I bought them because I genuinely liked them. I'm like, well,

these are like sick. I I have a feeling that like these are gonna be the next thing, and what do you know, Like the Stuicy Dunks, for example, I bought those for four so that's like the most expensive sp I bought, and those are going for I think two thousand in my size. And then um, another shoe that I bought was the Uncle Dunk shout out my boy Ryan Cooper for who give me up on those?

If you're listening, UH appreciates you. I got those for fift hundred, which is actually pretty a pretty good price considering now they go for three thousand. I bought Papa Bear Nike Highs, nikesb Highs for how much did I buy those four? I think I bought them for six hundred. I think how much I bought them, and I think those are going for twelve hundred now, Like it's crazy. Sbs are going through the roof and I have no

intention of selling any of my shoes. I I've worn most of them, but it's just like crazy to me. And I bought them at a good time, so you know, I was pretty happy about that. There's only one SB that I actually bought for an investment, just because I wanted to test the market and see exactly like how it works. Because everyone's always saying like, no matter what Travis Scott wears, it's gonna go up, which for the most part, it has been true. Like even like the

Stuicy I don't even know what they're called. I gotta look this up because this is gonna bother me. But literally Um, they're kind of an ugly shoe. Honestly. I mean I think it's cool, but it's a very like dad looking shoe that I did not expect people to like. Um, it's a very like New Balance E looking shoe, but I don't know. I think it was cool, but it was kind of ugly at the same time, it was the Nike air Zoom Spirid Dawns. So it's the stucy

fossil color ways of the Cage two or whatever. Now that should dropped for a hundred and sixty dollars and it's going for three four hundred bucks because Travis warre him and I think there's a new color way coming out, which I don't really like as much. But anyway, getting back on track, like pretty much everything he wears people go crazy for, so he's like the big you know, everything hype is around him. So one thing that I decided to do kind of as a social experiment, um

as soon as Travis or the Nike Bucks. So the Nike uh okay, yes, the Nike dunk as b Low Bucks. So I actually had a pair of Bucks before this picture. I genuinely thought they were so dope. Green is my favorite color, and he has b or a sneaker that has green on it. I will probably buy it just because of the color. And like, I love green. Um, it's not my favorite. Shaded green, military green or olive green or whatever you guys want to call it is

my favorite. But I had a pair of those that I had worn, and those shoes are from two thousand and two, I want to say, or two thousand three, I think I think it might be two thousand three. And um, they were going for I think, um, how much were they going for? When I bought my pair, I bought them for like two fifty, so like almost nothing. And and then when Travis war him for he warm in an Instagram photo and I was like, oh, Dawn,

like these are about to go up. So as a social experiment, I went on and go and I bought five pairs, just like five random sizes like that minute and I bought five pairs and I just kept them in my room. And now let's see how much they're going for. I think I bought each pair for like three fifty or something like that. Now, um, the lowest I could sell them for is eight fifty, which is crazy to me. And some of the smaller sizes, I can sell them for like up to which is insane.

So guys like certain as bees are always going to be hot, like the bucks have like some history behind them. I'm pretty sure that I can't remember the exact history behind the Buck, but I think that here let's see, let's let's have some little like sneaker history lesson. Let's have a little sneaker history lesson right now. So let's see S B dunk Low Buck. So I I'm pretty sure that um that, like I think Phil Knight designed them or something. It was like his favorite true or something.

I can't remember, but okay, let's read the dunk Low pro as B. Buck pays tribute to Nike co founder Phil Knight, who's alma mater of the University of Oregon, inspires the shoes green and yellow color way. The heel tab features in brodery of the name Buck, a nickname that's stuck with Knight from childhood to college. Okay, so I was a little bit off, but it was inspired by the by Oregon's colorway, so green and yellow, and then I had the word Buck, which was Phil Knight's nickname,

which is really really cool. And that's weird because on on stock X it says they came out in two thousand three, but on go To assays two thousand and four. So let's see who's right. I'm actually I'm not sure. Let me go take a look at my pair and see what the production date was, because they should probably say that on the inside. On this one. I'm just kidding. Of course they say that. So the production date is two thousand and three, so October three, so that means

they probably dropped two thousand four. And it says they dropped on New Year, so January one, two thousand four, So I think it is correct in this one, unless I don't know, maybe there's a friends and family thing that dropped before that. But on my parent at least that says they dropped in they were created at the end of two thousand and three, so that's true. It was a little um kind of social experiment. I wouldn't

say social experiment, I'd say an investing experiment. And that's something that I want to show you guys, because I think it's really important for people to not only like obviously like collecting sneakers is a big thing, like everyone loves their shoes. I love my shoes. I have such a hard time selling anything in my collection and I really don't have any intention of selling anything, especially if

it's in my size. I have some shoes that are not in my size that I have gotten rid of, um, just because I'm like, you know, why do I even need the shoe. There's only a couple of shoes that are not in my size that I will never sell just because of like a sentimental value or you know where I got them, and uh, like here, I'll give you guys an example. So I went to Astra world Fest this year, or I guess, and um, I was there with my boy Andre. He's the one who hooked

it up with some passes. So shout out to Dre a k Croatian style and um, we went to the concert amazing. We had like v I p every thing backstage. It was done. We had, we had a great time. Um, it was really cool to see um Check West, Don Toliver, um all them goos. It was cool, like, um, they're frequent like clients of ours and um, so like it was cool to see them. And then obviously Travis, Um, I saw Kylie. There a lot of people didn't think she was gonna be there because it was like right

when the scandal was going on. But um, anyway, so the concert was great. It went great, and then the day after we decided to visit Um Travis's new store. It's called Space Village, and UM basically Blitz had um Blitz had given Travis like a hundred thousand dollars in supreme to sell at the store, and so we went to go check it out. Blah blah blah. And when we were there, UM, it was like a friends and family only thing, like at first and then after they opened it up to the public, but it was like

in possible to get into the store. But they were selling pretty much all of travis Is sneakers for retail, which was crazy. And I ended up getting a pair of Travis Scott Jordan once um in a size nine and a half. The actually didn't have my size, which was funny, but I got a nine and a half And I don't think I'll ever saw that shoe just because I got it from like Travis's store, and it

actually means something, you know what I mean. Maybe a lot of you guys will think I'm weird, but I just feel like the like there is a sentimental value about sneakers, Like certain shoes I won't wear until I have a reason to wear them, you know, certain shoes like I'll just like I'll get them and I'll be so excited about them that I'll just bust them out the box and I'll just like put them on my

feet right away. But there are certain shoes where I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna wait until this concert, or I'm aa wait until I meet up with this person or I go to this event, or like whatever. So I think it's important for people to have like, um, deeper meaning behind their sneakers. Um. There are some people who literally just keep them in their room and just stare at them all day. Like. I don't have any issue with that. I don't have any issue with people

wearing their shoes to the ground. I know both types of people. I would say I'm a little bit in between. I definitely don't wear my shoes into the ground. Yeah I do. I have certain shoes that I do, But for the most part, I take a really good care of my sneakers. UM A lot of the times after I wear them, all clean them, especially if it's like

a parent that means a lot to me. Um. But I think the reason why wearing your shoes and having a sort of sort of story behind them, it just makes them that much more special, you know, like I wore these shoes when I met this person or when I went to this event or like whatever. Like it really like adds so much to the shoe. It's not just like a like a physical possession anymore. It's like a part of your life, which I think is so cool.

And that's kind of why I love sneakers so much, because every sneaker kind of has a story behind it, you know, um, the designer or I mean, like that's especially why I love sps. I know at this a million times, but it's because each shoe has like a story behind it, and the Bucks especially, Like that's such a good dope story. Like Phil Knight, co founder of Nike. I think he is he the co founder or the founder. Let's see co founder and current chairman of Nike. So

let's see who's the founder of Nike. Then I think it was definitely him, and then who else? Um? And then Bill Bauerman. Wow, that's a name that you don't really hear a whole lot. William J. Bill Bowerman was an American track and field coach and co founder of Nike. Over his career, he trained thirty one Olympic athletes, fifty one all Americans, for American record holders, twenty two and

c A double A champions in sixteen sub four minute milers. Wow, that is sick, but looks like he passed away in So that was like before Nike really really blew up, which is crazy, that's sad. So but I guess Nike was founded in UM. That's pretty incredible actually, but Nike really really started blowing up in uh wait, no, I'm tripping Nike was hot in what am I talking about? UM? But I would say closer to when the Nike really become huge. Well, obviously, you know Michael Jordan's UM started

in UM. That was like the first shoe first Jordan, and then before that, UM, I don't know how like the airships obviously the dunks um. Hm hmm, I wonder I actually don't know. I should read up a little bit more on my Nike knowledge. I'm not a Nike encyclopedia, but I mean it is really interesting. Start should probably read up on it. But I think that's so dope how they made a shoe with the word buck on it, because like that's like what his nickname was, and the

color way of his alma mater, which is Oregon. That's why Oregon has all the coolest like peas because because that's where Phil Knight went to college and obviously where um Nike's headquarters are important in Oregon, so you know, they we support their home team. The schools that always have the best p s are Oregon number one, and then U n C because of Jordan's and then um

Michigan has some really dopees too. I think Florida has some six P six ps, like the Gators are like the Georgian ones that have like the croc skin on them. We're so sick or where was the crocer python? I can't remember? It was so fire um, but well, yeah, it's interesting. Like that's why I really think it's important for people to, you know, have some sort of connection to the shoes in a sense, but not too much

because then you become a hoarder like me. Um. But anyway, guys, I mean right now, it's really important for you guys to understand that you know, if you have any sort of money laying around or anything. And I know a lot of you guys don't, like I don't either, like nobody does. Because of everything that's going on. UM in the last two months, I have lost out on I can't even begin to tell you guys how much money

I've lost out on. UM. At the end of the day, it is my it is my business, and it's important for me to travel and go do and like you know, make money because it is my business at the end of the day. So UM. But you know, I'm blessed to be in the position that I am, and I'm so thankful for all you guys listening and everybody who supports me, because without you, guys like I would be nothing.

So UM, let me just preface it with that. But if you guys have any sort of like money, um, any money that you just want to use, because one thing that I think is really bad is that people just let money sit in their bank accounts. Obviously, have enough money in your bank accounts, pay off your credit cards, your mortgage, and like car payments like whatever it might be. But the rest of the money, let it work for you,

let it make you money. I think it's so important, and I feel like I sound like, um, um, what's his name, ty Lopez? Right now? But go get some knowledge and invest all your money. I'm just kidding, but um, you know, sneakers are a great investment. And that's what I was trying to get up when I was talking about the SPS earlier. I always get sidetracked, and um, there's a way that you can exponentially make money from

your sneakers. Like like I'm telling you some like some shoes I spent under fifty dollars on resale by the way, Now I didn't get them for retail. I I paid like two hundred fifty dollars resale for him, and that can sell them for like a thousand dollars after a year. So if you think about it, that is a what return in a year, which is a hell of a lot better than most stocks. That's all I'm gonna say. You know, like, I think that there's a way to kinda get before the wave so you can really see

like what's gonna be hot. But beside that, I mean, obviously you guys can invest your money in like stocks. Um, I have a portfolio myself I've been investing, and quite frankly, I think it's really important for everybody to have UM an investment portfolio. And that's why today's sponsor is And I'm just kidding um no um no sponsor, but UM I think that it should you guys should definitely take advantage of like all the um the apps that are readily available, like at robin Hood or you know, I

don't use robin Hood myself. I use UM. I'm I'm with Charles Straw, but you know, t d umair Trade and there's so many, so many like investment platforms, so you guys can use but learn it make some money in the meantime, like instead of sitting down and playing video games and watching Netflix all day. And I am guilty of it too, don't get me wrong, but UM, you know, try to find a side hustle. If you've ever been interested in stocks or investing, like that was

a great time to like really look at it. Um. And you know, I hope you guys are staying safe, like please stay at home. UM. I hope you guys are all okay financially. I know it's like a really really rough time right now, but things will get better. Things are starting to look better already. UM. One thing that I wanted to mention with you guys is the masks have been doing amazing. Shout out to all you guys. UM. Originally I had so I had thousands of them and

I barely have any left now, which is great. And I've donated all the profits to Feeding America. So with you with your guys as help, we've actually been able to donate over a hundred thousand meals. So shout out to all you guys. If you guys want to buy a mask, because at an easyBus dot com, it's like the first thing that you can you see. I am

going to be donating all the profits. It's like the one way where I've been able to really help out the community because I think it's really important that you know, people are fed during this time and you know some people need a helping hand. And UM, it's at least I could do because of all the support that you

guys have given me. So I appreciate you guys. Eyes and UH, make sure you guys are subscribed to UM this podcast on wherever you guys are listening on my Heart radio and Spotify, on Apple podcast, Google podcast whatever. Make sure you guys download all the podcasts and winner of the off Wi fives will be announced this weekend. I know I delayed it a little bit. I'm sorry. I was supposed to make another video, but anyway, it

will be announced this weekend. So I appreciate you guys, and I'm gonna kid you guys next time on Legit check Piece
