Legends Podcast #645; Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)

Legends Podcast is getting a jumpstart on the spookiest season with the latest installment in the Ghostbusters franchise! Jason Reitman sits in the director’s chair in place of his father, Ivan, who helmed the first two. Trading New York City for small-town Oklahoma and introducing a new generation of ‘busters including McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Logan Kim, and Celeste O'Connor, the film also stars Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd as the grownups and features cameos from the original cast. Released in 2021, the film scared up over $200 million at the box office and earned a sequel set for release next year. But does Ghostbusters: Afterlife live up to the same spirit as the original, or does it make us say “boo!”? We ain’t afraid of no podcast!
