03/15/2009 - All Things For Good - Romans 8:18-28

Who among us hasn’t asked, “Lord, why is this happening to me?” when we find ourselves in this or that trial or tragedy? Sometimes our own physical suffering, seeing the suffering of loved ones, or even the ongoing, seemingly relentless struggles of life can bring us to the point of wondering if God is actually trying to make it hard for us to love and trust Him. It’s no news to any of us that pain is a part of life, but do we have a solid enough spiritual and theological framework to be able to glorify God and rejoice when everything in us wants to give up? That’s what we want to try to cultivate as we look together at God’s great promises from Romans chapter 8.
