Episode description

Nicolas is a philosophy and pre-law student at the University of Saint Thomas. He also works as a tutor and academic coach for Staying Ahead of the Game, LLC. Nicolas has a very wide educational background. He was home schooled up until his high school graduation, he works with a wide array of students from different schools in Houston, and he frequently learns what some would consider "unpopular" subjects like latin, taxidermy, and 11th century epic poetry.

Our discussion today covers topics such as formal education's role in developing morality, fostering a love for reading, and Nicolas' best and worst educational memories. As with most of Nicolas and I's discussions, we dive into the weeds, spitting out quotes from Dante to G.K Chesterton.

I hope you enjoy this episode with a brilliant, inquisitive young mind and one of my closest friends, Nicolas D'Amelio.
