Anchisa here from the Ling app!  ‘Happy Songkran!' or should I say 'สวัสดีปีใหม่ไทย (sà-wàt-dii bpii-mài-tai)' that means ‘Happy Thai New Year!’

In today's lesson, I will talk about Songkran day and vocabulary related to Songkran festival.

Some of you might be wondering what is Songkran. So, Songkran is the name that was given to the Thai new year. The Thai new year celebrations have been given the nickname ‘the water festival’. Taking place during some of the hottest days of the year, this year is from the 13th-15th of April. People celebrate by splashing water at others.
