Hi everybody, how are you? Let's learn today how to tell the time. So, right now in Egypt, it's 10 a.m. So, how can I ask what time is it? We say, الساعة كام. الساعة is the time, and كام basically means how many. And then the answer is the time. And then you say the time. Of course, there is a prerequisite for this, and you need to know the numbers from 0 to 25. Okay? Good. You will see why right now. So how can I say it's 10.05? So 10 and 5 basically, and the rest is the same.

الساعة عشرة و عشرة And then 15, we are going to say quarter, which is ربع الساعة عشرة و ربع And then 20. 20 is a third of an hour. So we are going to say tilt. Tilt means a third. And then 25, we are going to say الساعة عشرة والنص إلا خمسة. So what happened here? I said عشرة والنص. نص means half. So it's ten and a half. إلا خمسة. Without five. So a half without five is twenty-five. And then الساعة عشرة ونص. Ten and a half. And then thirty-five is ساعة عشرة ونص.

10.5 and 5. And then 10.40. We say it's 11 without a third of an hour, which is 11 minus 20 minutes, so it's 10.40. And then the same thing happens with 45. We take away a quarter. And then. عشرة which is 10.50. We just took away the 10. Yeah. والساعة حداشر إلا خمسة which is 11 without 5 which is 10.55 والساعة حداشر. Make sure you listen a bunch of times and practice. Thank you very much, and I will see you in the next one.
