Well, I still consider Rotterdam my city. I was born here. But I live very comfortably in Utrecht.

Yes, I understand. And is it easy to meet new people?

Lisa: Ja, dat gaat wel goed. En dan geef je dus drie kussen. Dat is altijd even wennen voor mensen die niet uit Nederland komen.

Lisa: Ja, ze leren de Nederlandse taal. Ze spreken nu een beetje.

Maarten: Ja, met de trein. Dat is heel makkelijk in Nederland.

Lisa: Dus jij komt uit Utrecht en je woont in Utrecht.
So you're from Utrecht and you live in Utrecht.

Maarten: Ja. Ik ben daar geboren en ik woon daar nog steeds. En jij komt uit Rotterdam, maar je woont in Utrecht.
Yes. I was born there and I still live there. And you're from Rotterdam, but you live in Utrecht.

Lisa: Precies. Dus 'komen uit' is waar je vandaan komt, en 'wonen' is waar je huis nu is.
Exactly. So 'komen uit' (to come from) is where you're from, and 'wonen' (to live) is where your house is now.

Maarten: Ja, dat klopt helemaal. 'Wonen' en 'verhuizen' horen een beetje bij elkaar.
Yes, that's absolutely right. 'Wonen' (to live) and 'verhuizen' (to move house) belong together a bit.
