Abu al-Tayyib al-Mutanabbi (c. 915 – 965 AD) was a renowned poet from Kufa, Abbasid Caliphate during the 10th century, known for his prolific output of 300 folios of poetry during his tenure at the Hamdanid  court emir Seyf al-Dawla in Aleppo. His intellect and incisive style made him popular, and his works, covering topics like courage and philosophy,, remain influential. Translated into over 20 languages, his poetry continues to be celebrated in the Arab world and beyond.
