She is one of, if not the most famous woman Arab writers in the world. She attended the first Arabic primary school for girls in Algeria. Her father's decision at this time went on to become a part of her destiny She went on to become the first female-Algerian writer to have her Arabic works translated into English. She wrote about themes such as politics, love, and women's rights.
