In todays episode I am joined by Jack Bobo, food futurist, and expert on the global trends in agriculture. We explore the profound affect that working in Gabon with the US peace Corps, shaped his personal calling of de-escalating tensions across our food system, helping us unite and create a healthier world. He speaks about the importance of global agriculture on big issues such as climate change and deforestation. We explored his career, through the US Department of state, advising on global trade and food policy. Jack spoke about the historical challenges that science has faced in building trust with the public, and about how science can communicate more effectively with consumers. He spoke about some of the challenges we face in the next 20 years, and about how we can achieve the goals of feeding the world’s population by building a level of trust between opposing sides, recognizing the progress we have made, and deescalating tensions between various different groups of people, that harm us to feed the growing worlds population.
