DESCRIPTION

Get your head in the game! ON this episode, Rob shares tactics on how to score effectively. A 5-10% increase development in the team's performance may seem very little but it shows massive growth in the team's success.

Rob goes back to an article he read in the Inside Football Magazine to share proven strategies to be highly successful in a short period of time. He advises to have more possessions, be good in possessions, and be purposeful in possessions, above all things. At the end of the podcast, Rob discusses how a team can utilize Zone 14 in scoring more points.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Here are four key things that bring massive effect on a team's performance:
  • Concentrate on having more possessions of the ball. Based on statistics, the team with the most possessions has the most wins. You get to have more attempts at the goal. Regain the attacking ball more frequently. If you don't have the ball, chances are limited.
  • Concentrate on being purposeful in possession. Have control and have direction when attacking. Adapt pattern of play that involves consecutive running, dribbling, and passing the ball.
  • Concentrate on attacking centrally whenever possible. Successful teams have more attacking moves to enter the attacking area. The center attacking mode is statistically more fruitful than wide play.
  • Concentrate on utilizing set plays when the opportunity It can change the whole game. Utilize to counter-attack and get a score.
  • Utilize Zone 14. Use the best players. Attack quickly if you get the chance. Look to play forward.
