Episode description

Ep 25 - ASSUMPTIONS CAN BE COSTLY

In this episode, I will be sharing with you how I regain control of my life.

“Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in.” ― Isaac Asimov

The rate at which you learn and progress in the world depends on how willing you are to weigh the merit of new ideas, even if you don’t instinctively like them.

Open-minded people see disagreement as a thoughtful means to expand their knowledge. They don’t get angry or upset at questions; rather, they want to identify where the disagreement lies so they can correct their misperceptions.

Key Takeaways:

  1. If you really want something in your life, you would do anything for it
  2. Start thinking about the reasons that can help you push through
  3. Listen to what your heart desires
  4. You are in control of your life
  5. You can’t control what other people think.
