Today’s discussion will revolve around, equity and how teachers can advocate and incorporate equity within their student’s curriculum, and their student’s community involvement, with their peers, family, and other school affiliated staff. For those who may not know educational equity is about providing all students with the same opportunities, no matter their race/ethnicity, social class, gender and the list goes on…Ultimately, it’s about focusing on students abilities and how they learn the best without adding societies biases and stereotypes on students specifically, black and brown students. To focus on students’ identities and schooling, will be centering todays podcast on race, skin color, culture, and self-love.
