On Thursday, February 17th, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco delivered the keynote address at the Munich Cyber Security Conference 2022. She spoke about past enforcement actions against cyber criminals, including the seizure of ransomware payments and other hacks, the FBI’s Virtual Asset Exploitation Unit, the DOJ’s appointment of former AUSA Eun Young Choi as director of the DOJ’s national cryptocurrency enforcement team, and other matters related to cryptocurrency regulation and incident responses to malevolent cyber actors.
