Episode description

First, Jake goes-one-on-one with January 6 Committee member Rep. Adam Kinzinger. They discuss whether Kinzinger thinks Trump will testify after the Committee unanimously voted to subpoena the former president, the Republicans attempting to blame Nancy Pelosi for rioters entering the Capitol during the insurrection, and the never-before-see-footage of Congressional leaders during the Capitol attack, obtained by CNN.

Next, Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensburger joins to discuss how Trump knew he had lost the election before making the now infamous call asking Raffensburger to ‘find’ 11,780 votes, and the polarizing effect of Trump’s election denying conspiracy theories. Finally, the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman gives a breakdown of today's January 6 public hearing, how team Trump is handling the news of his subpoena, reacts to Trump calling her his “psychiatrist”, and tells Jake about her new book on Trump.

Hosted by Jake Tapper.
