Hello, welcome to a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday whenever you're listening to Laura Kane after dark. I'm Laura Kane. Where are we? We aren't on the screen, Brian, I don't know. Have we started the YouTube feed? Oh? Well, we're not on our monitor. Okay, we're like super high teching. There we are there, we are there, we are. I was going to say, did mommy not hook something up? Right? Oh? She was glaring daggers

at it and were broke. My power did go out today, So there's a good chance sunday did it? Yeah, So that means you're gonna need to recharge your vibrator. Really sorry, really sorry. Well you said there was a power outage, so god speak uses double A. Dude is Eric Rimmer? What's up? That's producer Brian? Hi? Hi, Hi, Brian. And I'm excited that you guys are watching and that you're listening, and that you're here, and that you beared through the rain to get here.

It was like pouring earlier out it was the fifteen got shut down. It was flooded. Well, there was an action on the fifteen and the ninety four a really bad one. There was an action on the eight too. It happened my girlfriend was driving from school to work from UCSD and she called me. Apparently the car like two cars behind her hit the divider and flipped into oncoming tracks. Oh yeah, oh see, I didn't work today. So let mean, I know, you look on there and give us

a traffic report. I will, Well, there's my phone right there. Right, it's not good. Basically where did it flood on the fifteen? I don't know, I just saw them. Was it North County, South County, mid county? You know? It was technically like Texas, like Mission Valley, Mission Valley always beyond Mission was north of that. Oh okay, Fashion Valley always flood and then there's like part of the eight that floods

to Yes, it's what's called the flood zone. That's right, because it's an area where the San Diego River flows through it, and that's why it like overflows. Yeah, makes me want to get a new car just for the once every five years. What kind of car do you have? Terrible for the rain? Is it? Why? Because it's it's not built for the rain. But isn't it built to go through pretty much anything on mustag built to go fast on dry asphole. That's why I love my jeep because

I could pretty much go over anything. I go over any curb, and I always park like a jerk, like all the curbs. Oh great, you know you always park like a jerk. I do what I don't mean to. It's the jeep. It's a jeep parking thing like like or it I'll be like, oh no, I park like Elvis. Elvis is trying to hump our guest. See usually Okay, why don't you Elvis just humps me? Why don't you talk about who's going to be coming up after our host chat and your dirt your friend? Okay, yes, who's our guest

tonight? Yes, look at he's very wanting to please introduced who our guest is going to be tonight. So tease who our guest is going to I will, but wait a minute, I have a question. I have a wait question for you. Brandon William is our guest. He's a musician and he's a friend of Eric's and a little bit later in life he came to

come into his musician ship. Yeah, it's a cool story because he's always wanted to do it since he was a little kid, but he was forced, not forced, but went into a different field but then had an encounter all this cool stuff. I read his bio and I was like, oh, this is inspiring. So we're going to bring him up. So I can't wait to hear it. That's guitar right there, and he's going to

come up after you do your little bit of dirt. But first, if you guys are watching and listening, it's so great if you'd subscribe or at least follow. Laura came after dark on his butt. Okay, before I'm going to stensele that on my speaking of which, but it's going to be after dark, not l c ad. Before I get to my host chat. Yes, I would like to say that I received one of those pictures this weekend from a random I don't know from who,

from nobody I even know what a stranger. You think someone took a picture of their I don't even know. Well, I know, I think they DMed me with it. It was like some random person. I don't know who it was, but it was one of those kind of pictures. And what do I do when I get a dick pic. I send it to this guy because he makes it into artwork. Let me just say this. He was choking that thing like it owed him money he made it. I

was like, man, he's up on the grip. It makes me so excited when I get him, not because I like to get them, not because I like to get them, but because I love sending him to Eric, because he makes them into like this time, Yeah, he had a bird sitting on it like it was a bark. When you take a step back from it, this is like the other one was cast for the ghost Oh yeah, you have you've been and I did a lady with dark curly hair and like a pink dress and then something else. You should remember what

the other one lamar fair for their art competition. We have a whole calendar we do. We should do like a Dick Day's calendar and just have all your dick artwork and your dick artwork. Actually that's what it should be. Is like twelve pictures of Eric post are like, you know, erotically naked, but all of like the privates are dolled up with artwork. Oh sure, every month we're looking at Eric's face and would not nobody would buy that

calendar. That calendar would be It would literally be at the bottom of somebody's bird. Are you kidding? I would post. I would hangers on every telephone pole like wanted child picture. They'd be at the dollar tree in five seconds. Nobody wants to see a fifty seven year old in that kind of situation. It's like a really weird suggestion. You guys were talking about puting the calendar first, No, we're not. Just Brian loves to pit me

out though, yet. Okay, are you king that's a hilarious product idea. Maybe we could sell it on Oh it's gonna be wait, grand that would be great. Wait, I bet that's a thing though, Grandpa porn, I'm sure it is. Now, before we get to my host chat, before we get to our guest, Brandon William, Yes, before I want to tell you about Thursday. I have a gift from Tim for you, and you're gonna love it. I have a new game that we're going to play. It's a voting game and it's gonna be super fun. But

wait, I get to I get LCA D for life. Look at that. Thank you, Dmitri. What what did you get me? I got you something, but I'm not going to give it to you right now. That's good. Okay. Well I got something for you too, and it hasn't come yet, but oh dark it's great. Well good, then I'll make it into something. It is. It is not not. Do you get any like Randos ever every once in a while, No, I do not. Anyway, people know better. They probably okay, they know it

will wind up on your wall. I'm really excited to tell you about something, but I have to admit that I did something that may have just torpedoed this new thing and it's because I lied. Oh, let me just say it never pays to lie. What did you do? Okay? Let me take a deep breath. Is this something I'm going to be mad at you about? Okay, Well, then carry on. Now you're gonna be like, why did you do that? Okay? I tried out for a game

show. I filled out, failed out an application that's desperate. No, there's like this new website that has like all listings for like game shows and like social media creation videos and Netflix shows and actors and voiceovers. It's backstage do yeah. Yeah, I just was looking through it and it didn't specify what it was. But I'm like, I can fill out seven thousand dollars is the game prize money? Sure, I'll fill this out. What game

show? It's called Funny you should ask, And it's like five comedians sit on the stage and there's two contestants, and like a trivia question will pop up and one of the comedians will make a joke about it but then actually say, well, I think the answer is honestly blah, and then the contestant has to say that's either true or false, and then you get money. So it's like it's all funny and everybody's laughing because the jokes, I mean, the comedians are like John Lovetz was one of the guys Lui c

k. It sounds like one of the most boring. It really does. It's just kind of I almost fell asleep listening. Was a game show, you know, just a game show, game show. It seemed like fun. Though it seemed like fun well, I mean, you would have thought I was trying out for like an Oscar word. Do you remember when we auditioned for that show and they it was insiy crazy. I had to do everything but put a drop of blood on a slide. So I made it

through the application process like that. Next within twelve hours, boom, I get an email can you do a Zoom call at like such a such an hour today? And I'm like, WHOA, yes, I can't. It was like in a few hours. So they say where for us, Like you're going to a wedding, like get in full makeup, like full hair, something nice, don't wear patterns, don't wear white, you know the whole thing. Yep, because you're going to be on Zoom and the producers

are going to be watching this. So the lady comes on and of course I'm using another computer and I cannot get the video to work for I'm like, oh my gosh. So this goes on for like ten minutes, and I'm like, they're just gonna dump me. They're just gonna dump me, dummy, dummy. And I said, I'm so sorry. Let me change computers real quick. Blah blah blah blah. We made it. They see

me. Everything's cool. The lady that's interviewing me goes, okay, well, I'm not actually going to be in the video that is shown to the producers. So when I ask you a question, you repeat it back and then answer it because they're going to just splice you together. Okay. So oh no, oh god. They said, okay, we want you to start off by saying your name, where you were born, where you grew up, where you live now, your occupation, and your age. I said, oh boy, I know where this is. Said. My name

is Laura twenty five. I'm twenty one, live in Beverly Hills, Yep. Hi. My name is Laura Kane. I was born in Hollywood. I grew up in Glendale. I live in San Diego, California. I'm a traffic reporter. I do a podcast, and I also work at iHeartRadio at Start ninety four one. And I'm forty ninety old boy idiot? Oh my god? And at what point did the anvil fall on your head? Now? What? Now? I'll tell you why I did this. I

don't know. I did this because I already I feel like if I would have said my real age, I would have been I wouldn't have had as good of a chance. And I know that sounds terrible, Like I felt like I was going to be age discriminated against, you know, until she looked at the form and saw your actual birthday. Oh but then here's this, so the lady loves me right, And two things I may have blown.

So the very last question, they said, Okay, what are you going to do with the prize money if you win the seven thousand dollars? And I'm thinking to myself, Okay, I know they probably want me to say, like, oh, right, like that, or I'm going to buy my mom. I'm going to help her pay off her car, or I'm going to help my kids pay off their student loans or something like that. Oh no, I'm going to buy No, no, I said, you know those huts that are like on sticks in the clear blue water,

I'm gonna rent one of those, like in an island far away. The lady thought that was hysterical, though for some reason she just she loved it. She goes, I love you, You're great, da blah blah blah blah. Next day I get an email, all right, you're in. You just need to fill out a background check. Oh god, oh my oh. Also you could get an extra six years in youth on their eyes. I do that? What possessed me to do that? Why this forehead

does this not scream? Twenty eight second? Oh look, here's the thing. But obviously, well not obviously. I mean it probably wouldn't be surprising if my background check came back naked. Wait, so they haven't actually rejected you yet, right, No, they have not rejected me yet. Well, the background checks would be it should be a number of things that pop up. Oh my god, forty nine is not worth They're gonna be staring at the like fifty one fifty Oh my god. No. They didn't even

ask. No, it was only like, have you had a restraining order against you? And I was like I had to think of it, like, which one? Am I right about it? I'm like, god, how many have I put against you? Okay? Have you ever done that to me yet? She's like the lot with its assuming it is not within five hundred feet of the school, right, I have one on my desk just waiting to go to my ex do that to me? I don't remember anyway, So that should pass. Now we get to the age part.

Right, if they question me, if they come back and they say like, oh my god, you like you're too good of a contestant to pass up. Why did you lie? Just be like, oh, I'm sorry, Like I'm what I say, Well, I was just gonna say, well that's how old I feel, and just kind of make a joke out of it. It's a jokey show. Don't say that. That's worse. What should I say? That's worse? Yeah? I feel like I was twelve. Pretend like it was an honest mistake that you didn't even realize.

Really, yeah, that's better than or should I be completely and totally honest, just say look, I really want to be on the show, fort shouldn't. I like, I think you should play that off. I think you should lie more then I'm not gonna know, like I'm gonna weave such a web. I'm not going to know what end is up even be on TV and not know what to say, Yeah, you know, what was my name? What did I say my name was? Again? Even even if they're like, wait, I thought you were I thought you were forty

nine, You're like, did I say that? Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I'm no, I'm fifty five, yeah, like sixty or however old you are. You're like, oh, I was thinking about my online age. I'm sorry, So she should say it doesn't pay it a lot? Now I filled out when did I fill out that the background check I sent it in? I want to say Friday? So okay, so it had the weekend. I'm going to give them a couple of days because I haven't heard back from him yet. But it's been only it's not even

been a day. So if you'd be on the show and they gave you an opportunity, you'd like be like, is anyone you want to say Hi? Do you have to mention us my name? For sure? Yeah? Okay? Is this something I'm doing just because I love you guys? Or am I going to be like compensated somehow for it. Wow you Oh my god, what do you want when I am on the prices right now?

You feel bad? Yeah? I thought, well, I mean just wait, wait if I say hi to you Hi, Brian, Hi, Eric, Hi, Charlie, Hi, Evan, Hi Mom, Hi Jenny, Hi other Eric, the matter, say hi to so many people Hi, Stacy, like I want you to say hi to my producer Brian and my co host Eric Rimmer Comma thirty nine. Actually, don't get they may they may actually get really mad at you if you do that. You just say, Brian, I don't know, so wish me well, good luck again.

Just here, it's slapping on the hand for lying. No harder, No, I'll do it. Do it hard, No hard, I want to I need it. No, do it no, I'll smack your bottom later. Wait wait, wait, we'll smack you if you're lying, loses your position on the show. So far you're in the clear. Yeah, so far, you're in the clear. Yeah, so far. And it is Hollywood. People lie about everything there. Just play the way. It's not the worst thing. Just play it off. Say you don't even think

about your age anymore. So you could have said you were a virgin's I'm fifty five. I'm a virgin. I've never had a man look at me before. I was honest about everything else, everything else. That's who cares. Like forty nine and fifty five, you're still kind of old at forty nine. Well, it's kind of well in the ballpark. Give me that. Say it was like forty If they say, why did you lie about your age, say I have dyslexia? How does that work? I said

it was forty nine. I'm actually ninety four. How does that excuse you? I wrote it down and blowing, Oh god, you don't. I'm just saying, play it off like it's no big deal. Play it off, Like what did I say? Yeah, don't make a big deal out of it. Okay, okay, okay, okay, I'm all I think you should. Yeah, you're the best part is you're someone I can google right now and probably find out your age, Like I bet you have a wait google, Like I haven't said it eight million times on the podcast,

everywhere else the whole like my whole life. I just I don't know what came over me. It was so weird. You don't see the problems and be like, yeah, we found out you were banned from the oscars, so you're actually not eligible. Oh wow, I forgot about that, shute. I forgot kind of about that. You're blacklisted in the industry. Wow, I might be. Well, it's back to alcohol boulevard. They don't care if you're forty nine or fifty five or whatever. They do not discriminate

age auditioning for Intel. As long as you've got a pulse, you're good to go. Oh my god. You know one thing though, I will not do, look I will do. I'm talking now about like acting and stuff. I would do commercial for vaginal cream. I don't care all day long. I would do like yeast fiction. I don't even care. Why is it all? Well, No, I'm just saying I'm trying to think like the worst possible spokesperson you could be, like, because on this backstage

actack. Seriously, on this backstage out there's like all sorts of different like roles and things, And I was trying to think of you know where I draw the line though, because I think it looks so incredibly tacky on social media when like seedless celebrities are promoting vibrators. You know what I'm talking about, listen. No, do you know what I'm talking about? Listen for the right price. I would, No, it looks really bad. I don't know. For like Tom Cruise is excited to endorse the new magnet I

said, Cruise and Vibrator. Yes, called the Magnum Cruiser. It's usually like reality stars that are doing this like like after my like knocked up and pregnant or whatever they are. Well the post pictures of like them with like the little vibrator, like oh, girls need attention to I'm like, I don't know. I think that's where I draw the line with about ten thousand dollars. Though for ten thousand dollars, I would, I would do a

commercial for Badgicel, I would Forgatze Vibrate. I totally would. I don't know about it. I don't know why I draw the line there. It's like one of those monster dildos, like like super Owl. My god lord, no, have mercy. I don't know why I got off on that topic. I do not. If you guys updated, please do. I am waiting with bated breath. Did you find those like the backstage is like

looking for a vibrator spokesperson? No, no, no, I've just seen those, like like people from reality shows promoting that on like Instagram, and I'm like, that is tacky. Yeah, it's kind of weird. Anyway, that is awesome your turn. So Friday night was a I don't even know what did you do on Friday n I was so tired that I, oh no, it was Thursday, Thursday night. I was so tired, and I take Silliam husk yes we know, yea to make you poop.

Yes, not that you have to do everything regular, It just things go in and out with no stopping once an hour forty five minutes in on the dot. So I was so tired Thursday night that I took it and brush my teeth, forgot and took it again. Let me just tell you, I was skywriting by like three o'clock in the morning. How long does it take to take effect? Well? Would you do it twice? Double dose?

Oh? Man, barely? My good friend Margot told me, because I was putting it in like the big jug and putting it like a did you have to get a seatbelt on the toilet pretty much and like a pillow on the ceiling. So I didn't like shoot off and like break my neck. It was ungodly. You did that with your kolonoscopy too, didn't you, like, didn't you take too much of it? Like the double dose? Well that's what they told you to do. And then I started vomiting.

I know Hescy two. I probably could have filmed the atomic bomb from Offenhimer in that bathroom you forgot to take He forgot that he had taken it or something. I don't know. No, no, no, you're supposed to take both. No, you take the second half the day of the morning. Yes, that's what I did. Oh, I thought you took them both that night. That's why you're No. I don't want to talk about peking anyway. I'm sorry to interrupt. Continue. Yeah, so let

me just tell you. By by Friday, I was exhausted and I was completely hollow. I didn't even feel like eating because I was so exhausted. Because you were tired. I was your body. Your body was tired, and everything was tired. Yeah, I was. I slept almost the whole day. What if you don't take it, Oh, I'm probably fine. Well, then why do you take it? Because it's fun? I don't like I don't like things setting up shop for very he loves the risk of

taking too many and just seeing, you know, the projectile. Well, the only thing I had to do Friday was I had to go grocery shopping, and that wound up being like a two hour because every time I would leave the house, I'd have to run back once I was actually in the car, because he won't coached the bathroom in public. I will not. Oh, well, are you talking about like you won't even pee? No, you just won't talk anywhere. He pope. One time he had to

poop and TJ Max and I flooded the bathroom. Oh god, I won't poop in public. Who's the first person I called? But that happened. Yeah. As I running out of the store, he's like, you're gonna believe this. I just I just clocked the accident is overflowing in the bathroom right now. Oh my god, I gotta get out of here. He's running. Was awful. The best part is Laura makes funy of you, like as if she's someone that actively looks for public bathrooms to poop in.

She's like, oh, this one before, I'll have to try this one. Mind, How do I have to? Like? What are you going? Oh my god, so like I I would. I I don't prefer going in public, but if I absolutely have to, I will. It's not like I'm going to drive back home after I get to the grocery store. If I'm already at the grocery. The Oh I started sweating like, I was all, Oh my god. And I literally just turned around and

came home, bunkled that seatbelt. Actually I've done that before. Oh what got gotten to something like left to go somewhere and turned around because I, yes, I was going to work one time, you know, up in Carl's. Bat's like like an hour drive and I get like fifteen minutes on the road and I I think I went to Olive Garden night before, and dairy's not great for me, but I can sometimes I can cheat it.

But I had cheese filled ravioli covered in cheese, and I was like, why is my stomach Like, I was like, oh, oh, I gotta go. I got turned round, so I called my boss. I was like, I'm not coming into there. I'm working from home. I'll see you next week. Oh my god. So you wouldn't poop it work? Have you ever pooped at work? Oh? I don't. I wouldn't mind. That problem is I couldn't hold it for an hour? Would you

prefer? This is like totally no on my pooping preferences. Please if you had, if you had to make a choice, work or a restaurant, where would you work? Work? Okay? Work? Yes, you can't avoid using that bathroom, so I mean because they're private at work, I don't want to do it with an audience. So they're one hols yes, oh okay, you just don't like the one with the stalls, no where somebody can come in and hear all my business. Now if I have to, I just pray that no one comes in, or if they do,

they don't make a comment to me about the state of the bathroom. Has that happened before? Okay? God? Oh god? Yes, like, oh wow, you're having a good time in there. Huh oh my god. Well, bring on the double D music, Brian, because Eric says he has a little bit before we bring on Brandon William musician around good guy

singer. I can't wait to hear a story. It sounds very inspirational and that's what we like here at Laura can a good dark So Prince Charles has cancer them oh, no, really, Oh my god, I didn't hear that. Yeah, what kind They didn't say. They just said that it came out today. So I don't know if it's how serious it is or if it's just minor or whatever. But they said that both sons have been notified. And then the Grammys were last night. I watched the whole thing

you did, Okay, so I have I have questions. Okay, So I love Dua Lipa, Yes, I love her, and that new song is I Love Who? And then then once that she premiered last night was really good. So did you did you see when Celine Dion came out? Yes? I thought she looked great. I did too, But doesn't she have like stiff person's disease? She see where you actually start turning into like stone, a statue, bone over calcification or something something like that. Yeah,

iff person's disease. That's yeah, that's what I don't know, that's what it was referred to, I think. But she came out, she walked out, her hair looked great, her face looked great, she spoke eloquently perfectly, and she was received so well. I just I was so happy to see her. I thought everybody looked great. I did too. There were a couple and I have to say this is a disclaimer of the people that were nominated when no, I do they were. But Joni Mitchell

was amazing. She it was cool to see a legend like that. She performed years old, and she's going out on tour with Brandy Carlyle. Oh, Brandy Carlyle is great. Yeah, she's awesome. Did you Okay, how did you feel about Miley Cyrus's hair? I actually liked it. I didn't like Yeah, well, okay, I think it is better than how she used to portray herself. Yes, she's getting much more lady like. Yes, yes, I don't think she should have won, though, Oh

I do. I love that was really cool. I thought it was cool that she won for Flowers. Yeah, I do too. And I love that Taylor Swift one and she's like, has won the most best of albums of ever. Yes, it's a great album. It's fine. I don't have a problem with Taylor Swift winning. I just didn't like. Miley Cyrus kind of bugged me. I only I didn't watch the Little Grammys. I saw her speech and it was like really pretentious. I feel like Miley's.

Yeah, and she wouldn't stop talking about Mariah Carey too. Oh. I think she was just so enamored. Great she does. She did look great. I thought she was Beyonce for a second. Everybody, there's not one person I thought that looked bad, not what I saw or like overly filled up or overly you know, look great like Kylie? She looked great? Doja Cat looked a little ridiculous? Now, okay, is she the one

that has the tattoos on her face? Now? I don't know. She was wearing like the basically see through Yeah, weird, Oh, I thought, speaking of I thought, what's her name? Looked great? Shoot, I'll think no, he's weird. I can't wrap my head around her. Her and her brother, Yeah, Phineas, I can't remember. Oh do a look great? Beautiful? Yeah, she looked great. And how did you feel about Trevor? Noah, I can't. I can't stand him. I like him, well, why I don't think he's I don't think it's

not that he's not funny, because he's not funny. He's not like that funny to me. But he's also like he doesn't have a very good like hosts like personality, like he's just kind of like delivery mean, Like no, I don't know, it's just he's more irritating to me, like he's kind of like lame almost. I was like I thought it was I thought he was good. He wasn't too funny, he wasn't he didn't talk too much. I like him. He didn't offend anybody. I don't think.

I don't hate him. I just I don't know. He's just not that he's kind of enemy. Yeah, well I thought it was good. Did you did you enjoy the show? I did. I watched it online? Yeah, okay, jay Z's whole You see where he tried who was he upstaging someone about Beyonce not winning just like Kanye did? Oh god, dude knows, you know. I was. I was actually at work when I was watching it, So there was like times when I actually had to focus on and on the south pa oh my god, flowers one. Anyways,

we got a four lane accent. Oh no way, look at what she's no, no, no, what was I going to was Beyonce? There she's a cut with the long hair and the hat on and and uh she okay, so blue Ivy one up with him and what did they say? And what? Yeah? Who was he dizzy? She was? I forget who? Or sort of? He was saying it was unfair that god, she hasn't one best album of the year. Oh god, so many Grammys? Now was there? I was like, dude, crime a River,

come on, she's so so lame Beyonce? Was he talking about his wife? Yeah? Oh okay, I see god, I see. How do you like his hair? He's like, I know, I don't think. I don't like it at all. Anyway, only Lenny Kravitz can really pull the hot off. Yes, he looks better without him, though, he like his like kind of afro thing, not afro Lenny or Len. Oh see, I like him better with with the dreads. I think he looks cool. Yeah, okay, you're done. I'm done. All right,

let's bring on our guest intro music. Yay, now you tell us about Brandon William musician. I'm one down, Sit down, put on your headphone, high see you, good to see you. There are your headphones. Your mic should be on. Right, there's the camera here. Now we'll turn our Instagram users. Okay, so anyway, hi, and then there's YouTube right there. We're live on two streams. Yeah, so here, let's see, let's see. I do want me to just it more towards all right, I know these there you go. Hi. So I was

reading your bio and he's a musician. Here's his guitar and he's gonna sing for us. Write a song that you wrote. Is it the one to you death or is it? Is it a new one? I think we'll do by the way, by the way, okay, speak a little bit more into your mic. I think we'll do by the way. Okay, okay. So I was reading that when you know when you're a kid, I feel like when even when you're five or six years old, you I think you know what you're supposed to do do in life, like your body

tells you, like I want to be like I always knew. I always loved radio. I always knew I wanted to be in radio. And with you, you always wanted to be a musician, but you were kind of pushed in a different direction. Can you talk about that a little bit? Oh yeah, absolutely. It's a little cliche. But I remember Green Day's Time of your Life is right when it came out, Good riddance, And

I just remember being my mom picking up from school. I was sitting on the front seat of this eighty four blue camera and I'm like, man, I feel that, like I feel that. I'm like, I want to make people feel the way I'm feeling right now while I'm listening to the song. And you know, I love my parents. They were very supportive parents in gold Driven, but they were like, my whole life is like, yeah, music, it's nice that you like it, but you should should

go go into the medical field. You should go do something that supports yourself, which I mean, it's helped me. It's I've never gotten hungry over it, so it's been great. So what in the medical field did you pursue. I went to school to be a nurse, actually okay, and it's it's been life changing because I've worked in the er, both the adult and pediatric. I've worked in the ICU, but being the pediatric was is

the real life changing. For two. I never knew why had kids until I worked in the pediatric And then you see people pass in the ICU and get close to the families and you get to really value that aspect of life as well. Did you work in the in the nick? You then the new Natal Intensive Care Union or just with the children, the pediatric pediatric r But still, my god, that must have been. That must be I mean, is that currently what you do too in your real life job?

I mean that pays the bills? Right, I try? Is this the goal right here? But like right now? Is that what you currently do? Yes? Okay? I think that nurses are just their angels, their angels on our seriously, is somebody that is willing to take care of somebody else in their like most vulnerable state, I think is very noble. So thank you for that. Oh it's a privilege. So but you got to tell me what led you to start creating music after wanting to since you were

six years old. And then I got my first guitar when I was thirteen, and I would just kind of play around on it, and like I said, it wasn't really encouraged, but I would always be writing, always be writing, Like melodies would come in my head and I would just rhy

them down notebook after notebook after notebook. But I went to college. It took me a little while because I'd worked two jobs to get through school and everything like that, and I was just finishing nursing school around twenty eight, and I was like, I have these songs, but they're not complete because you can't hear them. I can only perform them a little bit. And I wasn't the best guitar player at the time either, so I I was like, man, I got to get it out there. And I took

a solo trip to Las Vegas actually for the New Year. It's something about New Year's Eve. It's just really special. It's like it's the end of something. You get to reflect. And I was sitting there waiting to uh, I just saw the Chainsmokers the night before for a New Year's Eve. They were aw I bet oh they have such energy. It's actually Andrew's birthday actually, the December thirty first. Oh, yeah, so it was. It was super cool. I have two shot glasses from the chain Smokers.

Yeah, I have my cabinet. But it was the night after and I got a complimentary ticket to go see Marshmall. I'm like, I'm not going to miss Marshmallow. So I'm waiting to get in and I'm sitting there and I'm you know, having a drink, and I see a gentleman that's Caddy corner me really well dressed, wear a nice cowboy hat, and we start talking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, and he goes, would you like to join me? I'm like, yeah, let's

talk. And we're talking about ideas, wait does for you know, investments, all these things like that, how I'm a nurse and I've been working in the ICU during COVID and all this. And he tells me, ask me about like music, like what do you like to do? And I'm like I love to write music, I really do. It goes, what do you got? And I go, I got anything? And it was just Mike. My heart dropped. And it turns out he was actually friends

with the Chainsmokers and he was friends with Marshmallow. This gentleman comps my dinner, insists, and walks me up to the front line and gets my ga bumped up to a VIP just right then and there. And I thought, never again, Well I'd be caught like that with my look. You know, I'm like I got nothing to show him, and I was like, up my pants down, yeah yeah, yeah. But that was like that

year. By October, I figured out a way to complete a track, get it recorded, get it mixed and mastered and put up on Spotify. Had you ever taken any music lessons of any kind? Not consistently, So you're self taught, so pretty much on the guitar, Uh, pretty much. Lots of YouTube, and I would get like, I would go clean yards or you know, do whatever, do landscaping around the desert. I grew up in Joshure, and I would take that money and I would go

get a scene lessener. I'd go get a guitar lesson and a little bit piece there here and there. So this kind of life changing. I also you said something about being a nurse and seeing people pass and life and death and realizing that we have one life, one less and whatever we really want to do, do it. So how did you make it come together? Where you had the equipment, you had the mixer, you had the producer, Like, how did this all? Did it just happen? So I'm

a big believer in you've spoken about manifestation. Yeah, yes, yes, yeah, it's huge, huge. So I write everything down and I went through spoiler, I went through a divorce actually at twenty six, right when I got into nursing school, and I started going like I'm not a patient person. I need to be patient. I need to do that. I started writing it down, started watching all these Moti Visional videos, started reading book after a book book, probably more self development books. Then I did

nursing school books. But it really forced me to, uh, just want to be better, and so I would just work over time after a little while, and I would write down what I wanted the next thing and only started with it and amp and like a really simple guitar and you know, to start. TikTok was the game changer though, because I connected with a gentleman named Rikia Javarn is a credible guitarist. Actually he's touring guitarist for Taylor Acorn. She's going to be at the House of Blues on May fourth.

Oh yeah, but this is before that. And it was really cool to catch him early because he we connected on TikTok and like, yeah, like let's do this, and like we what's the fee? And like he commissioned him to mix these tracks that I recorded and he did a phenomenal job. And getting from that and then I found somebody that was able to master as well. You put it out there and it's like, wow, you have

something finished. To absolutely something finished and have it in your mind, something that you wrote down and then you talk about it over and over again. So if I went, hey, Siri, can you play Brandon Williams to death? She would be able to Spotify could pick it up or or she might it would be Spotify doesn't work that way. That's just Siri. But like I can look it up on Spotify and there you are. That is

that? There you go. I work at skeptics as stages. I've gone through like different drummers here and there and different people, like we haven't fully found a solid lineup just yet to play live. But that's the goal. Meanwhile, I keep writing. I hear something a phrase. I had to hop out of the shower one time too, you know, I was like, oh, I have to write this song right now. I heard I

heard something. I heard a melody. So I just keep writing and working in the studio and practicing and meeting with people and jamming out to hopefully perform live more around here. So your goal is to eventually come up with a full on band, absolutely, and you'd be the front man, I believe. So I write the songs, you write the songs. You had the voice, Well, can you sing us something right now and play something i'd

love to? Okay, great, which are we going to hear? Because I know to Death was the one that you wrote about or the one that you first released? Is that right? That's the one I first released. It was I'm a bit of romantic. I met a girl that got me into traveling. Actually, that's part of why I travel every year's even now. It's because I met that girl. That's yeah, that's uh, that's the first one I wrote. Is that the one you're requesting you play whatever

you have come prepared with. I want to hear what you want to what you want to play. I was like, oh, I should have practiced them. Oh no, no worries. Okay, I'm gonna scoop back just a little bit, all right. This one's called by the Way Finding the ride. Words, though they seem a breath of way, don't always come premadic. Say it all the way I hear. I'm learning to our sec lan, though I may not say, though I may not express it well.

By the way hold, by the way I hate deal, by the way I conduct my sapar reveale, by the way I hate it, by the way I live by the way you see. May they had fine? Don't mean election? I seek two communed kid, won't you come down? No one's perfect s. If a good anted, I fail to success, though I may not say, though I may not express it. Wow, by the way I by the way I hate, deal, by the way I conduct my self, our reveal, by the way I gave, by

the way I live, by the ways you see. May they're fine, though I may not say, by the way, by the way I did, by the way I conduct my self our real, by the way I get, by the way I laugh, by the ways you see. May they're fine? By the way ba, the way yimn bay, the way I conduct myself orevial bay, the way I ain't give, by the way I love, by the ways you see. May they to fine? May they to fine me? How is awesome? Okay? I was totally getting vibe. Okay, that was great. You wrote that your words, you

learn to play, that your voice is great. I was getting like I could see you touring with like a one republic the fray the kind I mean, it was kind of that vibe. I don't know what really good? What is like? What kind of music is that? The kind of music you want to put out, like like similar to that or or what do you like? Because that's what I was getting. Those are the vibes I was getting. I loved it. Oh. I definitely want to connect with

people. I think that's the whole purpose of music is to connect. Yeah, it speaks when words fail music music speaks for sure. Yeah. And I wrote that song in particular too Many to two people, my brother and somebody else I was I was with at the time. But that's the kind of music I do want to write because it's it's for my own mental health. And when you connect with someone else, maybe you can help them get through what they're going through. Yeah, for sure. And more of a

a weed out a me thing. So I've had people tell me I love that song, it's my favorite song, and like, like, my song's your favorite song, thank you? Like it almost brings you to tears when

someone connects with your music. What you bring up mental health? Is that something that you've struggled with, or that that that music has helped you overcome, because I I mean something I do, I struggle it and I know a lot of people that do. And if music is what helps you and therefore, in turn, you'd like to help somebody else who may be going through the same thing. That's awesome. I mean, is that what's going on? Oh? Absolutely, I there's things. That's why I work on

myself so hard. I'm always reading something like how can I apply this and make my life a little better, treat the people in my life better. When I wrote that song, I was pretty critical. I'm very critical of myself. I think that's what pushes me to be a better musician. But I wasn't very patient, wasn't very patient, and more than more than anyone, most importantly my brother. And I'm like, you can if you can be kind to you know, your friends, strangers, you meet, it

counts more with the people that are closest with you. And I really didn't see any progress with that, and it would just beat myself up over it over and over again, and I only saw it hit a milestone. It was kind of interesting. I missed a flight with my mother. We missed a flight and it was an eight hour laid over and four hours and I'm like, I didn't get it mad, I didn't get upset, and it

wasn't it wasn't my fault. That we missed the fight, but to see more internal control and how music has done that for me and be able to sit and sit with my guitar and write something, put it out and channel it something that I want, something that I desire, and then to see it manifest later in my life and says something I written down. It's huge, and I hope the same for everyone else that's struggling just to get up out of bed in the morning. Sometimes I'm sure, Okay, manifesting is

something that I totally totally believe into. So in the next year, I want you to put it out there in the universe. What do you want to see happen with you and your music? Boom, throw it out there, all throw it out there, million streams on Spotify, to connect with a million people or at least some even if it was one person a million times, that'd be amazing, awesome, love it. Thank you so much for joining us, Brandon William. We'll have his music up on our website,

Laura Cane after Dark. We have his bio up there, we have his picture up there, and we'll have his songs up there too, songs or song just oh, they're six excellent excellent.
