The food is exquisite, the ambiance is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great, and the preparation when you when you bring your food to your table, it's so pretty you don't even want to eat it. It is so pretty you don't even want to eat it, but it's definitely worth eating because it was absolutely delicious. I also had to drink, y'all. I had a tropical thunder, a tropical. It was a tropical thun, the tropical hurricane, trapical somebody it was good, but she gonna walk, but common has

Yes, I knew his name was the same last name as you. It is what what what? Lauren? Well, the thing is wanted to clarify. I went to our new health care center for my other job on Thursday day. One of my co workers actually tested positive, so she I was exposed through her, and then I had gone out over

the weekend on Saturday and didn't know that yet. And anyway, so let's let's break down being being exposed to and testing positive, because you can test positive and be asymptomatic and I have no symptoms for whatsoever. Being exposed me that you've just been around somebody who possibly who had it, but that don't mean that you have it. So y'all need to know that because you've been exposed does not mean that you have it, and because you test positive

does not mean that you're gonna have the symptoms. But you need to know. And the lines are growing and growing to get tested. I know they're saying about these home tests, but I don't know if I'm going to trust all these home tests because what if you do it wrong? No, I agree, and I think the one thing that I've seen I'll just say this too, is like I know that there's been an issue with some tests coming back as a positive but I'd rather get

tested for the safety of myself. And like today, I'm gonna get a COVID test and I'm gonna get my booster all on the same day, just so that way I'm protected. But I know, you know, a good boost I need a good booster, you know, a good boosters. No, I mean a good booster to coming and somebody who can go get me some labels and stuff. I can pay it with this count. But I just don't want to um expose anybody because I have to. We have another opening on Wednesday that I need to go to.

But I need to make sure that you know, I'm all right, you know, have some type of safety and me rather than none. But to your point, you know, there's three senators that just tested positive today in addition to Mary Holgan in Maryland, and they all have booster. So you know, what can you do? You know that I have tried to pinpoint and go backtrack every second that could have as cautious that was with my How the hell did I catch COVID? But you can't because

you don't. They don't even even really know how wearing mad and I followed the protocol. I wore my mask, I dear, I was supposed to do, but you just don't know. Is it going in your ears? Is it going in your ass? You don't know. So you just have to pray and be cautious and really try to be as careful as you can. This is a real hectic week in the world because it's Christmas and so many people want to be with their level ones. There's a lot of traveling going on. I'm gonna ask for

y'all to be safe. I was. I flew in yesterday morning from Miami to Los Angeles and the slight attendants had to get on the p A over the loud system at least four times that I remember, because I slept some of the way to tell people to please put your mask on. My issue is why are you so damn hard headed? If you're not gonna put your mask on, then find another alternative to travel. Lauren Hogan Laurie Hello, Oh my internet is bootleg. Yeah, you broke

Again, I said, if you're not going to follow the protocol and the rules to flat on the airplane by wearing your man's fan, other means of travel, oh, I agree with you. Because I mean just to be transparent being on a plane. It's a German fested cabin in the first place. That's where an airplane is to start off with. So you're already putting yourself at risk having toy get on the plane.

So the people that don't wonder where I want to cause up wars and want to be agitators and all this other stuff. I hope that they get on the no fly list. I hope the airlines get some balls and get some parachutes and an exit ship. You're gonna put your mask and we're kicking you out at forty six feet go forward. Yeah. Well that's why I say, I only you don't only fly on Delta because they don't play about the rules of wearing your masks. They

don't play about that. I've been on flights where I'm looking at somebody next There was a lady sitting next to me one time where she just didn't have her mask on. And when I tell you, I was about to hit that flight attendant assistant button, and the flight attendant came by and was like, man, you have to put your mask on. Like Delta does not play about that. And that's why I'll fly at airline. I was on Delta and they made four announcements that I can remember

for something, and it was the same person. It was. It's the same person. I'm like, kick their asses off. And the thing that I don't get too is like it is literally a rule in order to fly. So if you really come to the airport trying to start drama about wearing your mask, like it's a rule when you're booking your ticket, you just want to be ignorant captain exactly, because when you're booking your ticket on land, it truly asks you to follow the rules you have

to wear. It tells you everything that you have to do. I'm not understanding it. Yeah, even when you check in for your flight, like you have to check off that you're willing to wear your mask, that you don't have any COVID symptoms, Like it's a part of the process. So you're just trying to be difficult at that point. M like that no flatter less thing put their asses on there, have the police waiting for them when they land and arrest him in front of everybody. That's what

they should start doing. That's that's already happened in some cases. They've had the police waiting for them to take them off the plane when they land. Yep, surely have and let them get off first. Since they on one the way their man, they could be the first ones to get off and go right the police come right on and get them and take them off. Here yep, in front of it, and I just hope. I don't. I don't know what's happening around, Poe, but I know that

we're talking about this now. But this new O Macron variant, I really don't know what's gonna happen. Because initially they said it was my old it wasn't a problem, and I all of a sudden it's supposed to be worse than the Delta variance. So I don't know what's gonna happen. That That is what's scary for me, Lawrence. Since you open that door, let's go down that road. Because there's so many um it's so much gray. It is so much gray. I'm scared of the gray. I understand the

black and white, I don't understand the gray. Well. I think the thing that is just so different about this is like if you look at photos from like a hundred years ago, when we had like our first real pandemic that we really know, which was a Spanish influenza. And I hate to call it that, but there are photos of like people at football games, like in rural red states like Georgia with masks on, like mask the idea of wearing masks, who wasn't weaponized and politicized like

it is now. People really just complied and that's why they were able to, like the country was able to move past it. But I think because this has become such a political issue, this is just gonna be something that we're never going to get away from. Especially if people don't wear masks, things keep mutating and we don't actually, you know, take the time to get rid of it. It's just gonna have to. It's gonna be something that

we just continue to have to deal with. Lauren, let me ask you a question, because you watch the news and even before you came well, now, because COVID didn't you hit, you came with it. Yeah, COVID didn't hit too. Ask you came on. Let me ask you a question. Do you think what do you think politicized? Who or who do you think politicized? I think it started with

Trump for sure. I think it started with Trump and then all of the Republicans fell in line, because say what you want about the Republican Party, they're always on one affoard. So at the time Trump was in office, he politicized this whole situation, and then the Republicans feel like they have to stick to the messaging at this point, so I don't. And at this point, there's so many Americans that just feel this way about COVID and don't

want to get vaccinated. And there's just so many different, you know, issues around this now from not wearing your math and I don't want to do this, and I don't want to do that. Oh, because it's my party affiliation. We're never going to get past this. Yeah, it's not, which is why we come up with senators and and all these people coming up protesting positive after they've been double vaccinated and boosted. I have been petrified, and I flew home on petrified, which made me go get a test this morning. I like, so is I get an opportunity to go get a test. I'm gonna get a test, Thank you. It was negative. I want to talk about Joe Biden, so please tell me the statement so I can freestyle on him, because I'm ready to give him a piece of my mind. No. I just thought the verbiage that was used in the statement was that basically, the those that are unvaccinated, you're going to extreme severe illness and death, um not just for you, but for those around you, and increased hospitalizations. It just sounded very morbid what they put I'm not saying exactly what was in the statement, but it was

a very morbid press statement. It was almost like to scare people. Well, that that is what it is, isn't Isn't it like right now at this point a scare tactic to make people like you have to get vaccinated or you're gonna die because a lot of these big senators and they are vaccinated, they are boosted. That don't mean that that's not protective that you know, if the vaccine is actually protecting them more. I'm not saying that isn't,

but they're still coming up with it. I don't want to take some ship that's gonna I'm double vaccinated and boosted and I'm still testing positive. Uh well, what the what the what the word is is that if you at least if you have the vaccine or you have the booster, the likelihood of your passing or dining from COVID decreases significantly, or the fact that you're having to be hospitalized or having severe symptoms of COVID decreases significantly.

That's what the scientists and your dear friend Dr Fauci said. Oh wait a minute, before we get to Faulci, and before we get to Biden, let's let's go here alone and talk about our boss. Because Charlemagne, the god who executive produces this show, who is over the black Effect? I heard Network had an interview with Vice president Kamala Harris the other day and he asked her a question, So who is running? Who is the president? Joe Manchon or Joe Biden. Baby, When I tell you she went

to the defense and she Joe Biden. Let's not do that. Joe Biden is the president and I am the vice president. Kamala Harris, where I'm waiting only either one of y'all ask is to do something that looks like it's for us. And I said it publicly right here on the show, because Kamalauve, you was never my choice for nothing, period. Let me just say that publicly. And I only deal with you because you was the only choice we had, so I went with the option that we had. Joe Biden.

You wasn't my choice either. Player. I wanted Yang, who has switched parties and now it's independent. But um, Joe Biden, you said after you won and before you want that you're not black if you don't vote for me, And then after you wont, you promised to do something for black people. We still wait on that promised player, because you ain't hear nothing for us. You ain't passed no laws, you haven't passed the Mtil Lynching Act, you haven't not done anything to make us feel safer in this country.

And we helped you accomplish your dream because you said it that you would have never wanted. It was for the black vote. We helped you accomplish your dream. We're waiting player, and we want it now. You won't win again. Let me say this publicly. You will not be the president of these United States again. You will not win again. So you need to act on what you promised to us. Now. If you'll think I'm playing a black car, you damn right. He played it so starting starting with Charlottagne and uh,

champla Harris one. I love the fact that he has the opportunity and the platform to be so candid, and especially with somebody like the Vice President United States. And yes, Kamala Harris turned into an auntie really quickly, and you know,

checked check Charlotemagne. And then I also saw Simone Sanders come into the camera and they tried to cut the interview and they tried to play like they couldn't hear, and Charlotta Agne kept it very honest and very Canada, which I have to give him a lot of poodles for because a lot of folks don't have opportunity, and even if they do, they're too scared to do it. That's exactly what it is. So put up to him

for sure. Um on the Joe Biden front, Um I told you, I've been disappointed for a while, you know, and I think it's unfortunate. The one thing that I will say that the administration, and I don't know if it's really Joe Biden specifically, or this more fault Kamala Harris is doing, they are appointing a lot of circuit judges.

Like I saw the White House Press briefing today, I think they appointed like another forty circuit judges over this past week, and supposedly it's the most appointing since the Reagan administration. And a lot of these circuit judges are black women, so I will give them kudos on that front. It seems like they're trying to go through and kind of undo a lot of what Mitch McConnell did in terms of, you know, giving a lot of these judges

these lifetimes. I hate my Internet, y'all. I do. I ain't even I don't know where it's acadom because I'm freestellent on y'all. President marks like a bird, Get off my page, nigger, that's my exucker Berg on my page. That's my execuer Berg page. Okay, Um, but no, I'm saying like every week it's Joe Biden saying, well, just what he can't do, and him kind of reneging on

another promise. You know, the A c. L. You just put out an article this weekend that says he's no longer able to reunite families that were separated at the border. And now, you know, if they basically have to defend family separation from what the Trump administration is like, they have to defend that now because he's saying, oh, I can't do this anymore. You know, he said he was gonna get funding to hbc U s he's not doing that.

He's kind of making it, you know, a lottery and the survivor of the fites kind of situation between colleges. He's just reneaging on so many promises, and it's just really hard to support him at this point. And don't get me wrong, I'm still gonna vote. I still would have voted for Biden over Trump any day. But it's honestly just disappointing, you know what I mean. And I guess in a way it's kind of I guess people shouldn't feel like we got God, because if you look

at Joe Biden's past record, it wasn't great either. You know, he didn't do nothing for black people when he was a senator. He didn't. He did he said the Crams Bill so they could stop and frisk us. If he did that, Well, that's what I'm saying. He didn't do anything. I'll clarify. He knew anything positive for black folks. If anything, he criminalized us. And he also didn't do anything for the economy. But just seeing this now in real time, I'm kind of just like, damn, was he really better

than Trump? Was he? Oh? Girl? I would hate to think of what the what what the situation would be like if Trump was in offices for these last this last month. I'm sure it would be worse. Don't get me wrong, because Trump loved an executive order and the Republicans are actually on the same page. But it's just really disappointing to see because it feels like we were really duped, Like black people are the ones that elected you, and you basically just said for us, that's happening. Yeah,

oh see it, see it, Oh see. Oh graph felt that Oh my god, you just grew some hand back. I just cut these hands off. You've just grown right back. It's very safe and so when Charlottagne asked the question, well, who is the president Joe Man? Because how did your man from West Virginia, one person have this much power to stop the build back better and stop this playing Because I know they want to get rid of this filibuster thing, but how can this one person have this

much juice? Well, I mean that's one thing I've also kind of learned, or I kind of I should say, that I've seen from the Democrats is that optics matter so much that it's almost likely lose a big picture, which also kind of gets on my nerves. So I think optically they're trying to make it seem like if Joe Mansion isn't on board, which is also kind of negative, and his you know, on his end too, because I

saw some callinginated for West Virginia. The people in West Virginia are are upset with him, but I think optically they want to be on one of board. So it makes it seem like this was a seamless, you know, bill that was passed. But because I think that they still have the majority or maybe they're at a tie in the Senate, I don't really know. I have to do some research. His one voter I know it's holding up a lot of ship. And he had already made his stands and say that he was definitely not voting

for the child text created. You know, when people and people want to they want people to work, they want mothers and all these single women out here with children, because it's a more single women with children that are single mean with children and they need to work, and you don't even want to help them out because he's already rich and he lives in West Virginia. The realty is, did you hear why he's not supporting the child text credit? No,

what's the reason? Tell us? Tell us? He said, because he wants the money to actually go to people that need it, and that his concern is that certain mothers are going to use it for other reasons outside of their children. It's going to be used for drugs. And it was a very um white privilege answer if I've ever heard one. M m m m m m m m m m m. And that's what Allison always talks about, voting locally so we can put people in office that think like us. But people change over time. Because I

don't know, I don't know Joe Manchin's track record. I don't know who he is as a politician. Until he became negative, I didn't know nothing about this food. But I can imagine if we went down through the years and watched his track record, he probably started off one way and has turned into this monster that's only concerned about money. What he's doing interviews from his yacht. Well, I have to say, though, you know a lot of senators I think have changed party affiliations over the years.

I mean, look at Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders is very independent, but he's probably the one Senator that I agree with the time. If Bernie Sanders just didn't look seems so can't tankerous all the time, I might be on board with him. But he always looked like he want to bite you. I am a Bernie Sanders fan for sure. Um, you know, he's just he actually is a voice for the American people. And I think that's part of the problem that we're experiencing now is within the Democratic Party

because the Democrats have their own agenda. What that is. Couldn't tell you because I don't know what it is, because they don't listen to the American people. But you know, Bernie was like, I'm going to be an independent and just say how I feel. So Lauren, I don't. I don't. This is why I can't do policies. We next season we oft gonna be Wendy Williams too, you know, minus to. I can't take it no longer because it is it

is like beating a dead horse. You talk to people and you you give them the fact, you show them exactly what it is. But people still here and see what they want to I e. January to six. They are still saying that that was not an insurrection, that was tourists, that was we were there to support. That is no, no, no, Well I think I think too. That's my problem too, is that it always takes us so long to get things done, and it just doesn't

make sense why it takes so long. With the fact that we're still having conversations about January the six, almost a year later. In the committee, I think they've only come down. They haven't really done anything yet. I know there was one indictment I think two weeks ago, like somebody is actually getting jail time. I think it's like a two year sentence. But could you just imagine if it was a whole bunch of black people doing that, we would be dead and under the jails now. And

we did it peacefully. I was watching get on the bus at five o'clock this morning, and we did the million million man march on the Capitol. But nobody trying to crawl through the windows and doing all that. That was us. We didn't do none of that. Y'all did that. And it was it was a million of us, it was about a hundred thousand. If it was that many,

it probably was about twenty thousand. And y'all ridiculous. It's just very upsetting to see the lengths that you know, the government will go to protect some white people and how different things would be for us. Like I was even just I don't know if have you seen like

Charlemagne is pretty much the voice of the black community right now because he has his finger

in so many projects. So it was not an inappropriate question, and he I agree with you, don He did not ask it disrespectfully or inappropriately. It was I would have said, well, who running this camp? Who who's in charge here? I don't know, but you know what we all know. If he was on the on the breakfast club, he would have kept digging. Yeah, he would have kept digging. Now and he didn't, you know, he had to pacify her

so she can bring it back well respectfully. She still is the president of the United States, I mean vice president, and I say so. I applauded Charlemagne for knowing that. I can't go this deep end, but I can still access. I can open this door. She made it something that it wasn't, so I don't vaux Charlemagne at all. And I've seen Charlemagne go too far in like, dude, you better bring it back. You played too much. But he didn't do that this time. He was very appropriate, and

saying the same thing over and over. You know, I realized he is your boss, but sometimes and I don't think. I think that Charlemagne has flipped and made himself a better person in recent years, and I applaud him for doing the work. I am not minimizing that one bit. But I think, uh, people who have their their their hands on the pulse as far as black journalism is, people like recording sellers and Roland Martin. Nevertheless, I think

there's a place for Sharlemaye. Uh So, maybe him even asking the questions came from out of left field because she was associating him with maybe times past. I'm not giving her an excuse, because one needs to know how to handle yourself, you know what I mean. But do I think he was in appropriate. It absolutely not. Well, you're right, they have a relationship because while she was campaigning, and even before that, she had been on the Breakfast Club a couple of times, So they had a relationship.

So I felt like he felt comfortable enough that I could ask you this question even though you are in this position of power. I didn't think the question was inappropriate. I didn't even think that he asked in an inappropriate way. And I was asked in my inbox earlier, Flamer, you're gonna go after Charlemagne. I know he your boss. If Charlotte, if I thought that Charlemagne was wrong, hit me. When I tell you, I would say publicly that I thought he was wrong. I don't think that he was wrong.

Charlemagne know me. Charlemagne hired me because of my mouth, and he knows me, and he know I stand on what I believe in. If I felt like he was wrong, I would have went after my boss. But I didn't feel like he was wrong. I felt like that question needed to be asked. No, if for no other reason, then to let her know were her community is thinking.

You know what I mean? If nothing else, it was a different platform, but she needed to know what her community is thinking about the people of color and black people. And I know that as many trumpets that have been sounded, he knows that black people are not gonna hold their boats. But they're saying, what the hell are you doing for us?
