He with uh. If you watch Coffee Time to Baby, you know the name Flame, my role also known as my role Flame. Come in with last and come in with them love lounds. Baby, you better catch it when you can't drop a knowledge from fatherhood to politics, shouting now comics just paying homics. What's up? Tip? Yeah? You know she raped shot towns on speaking to the grown a second, We're gonna last cut of the kicking and at the end we leave it with just a lifty spirits.

Think you want to revisit, so your first take a list of young folks, say you slip, oh folks that we take it. No do what you doin' nokish, do what you do? Can't no kids? Do what I do? Well? Hello, Hello, Hello, and welcome to laugh and learn with Flame Monroe and Lauren Hogan Hogan. Hi, Hi name, how are you? I am wonderful? Hello Flame Man's welcome to laugh and learn to laugh non podcast with my girl Lauren Hogan and

myself Flaming brow. And I want you to know we have had an event full last event for eleven days. Ch'a'll talk about it. Okay, you go first, or actually let me go first, because yours is more detailed than mine. So um, my last what, yeah, eight days has been crazy. I just got back from Florida at two o'clock in the morning Tuesday. In Florida, we had a major Florida AIDS walk event. Um, we had a walk and concert actually, and it was so great, you know, everybody was pleased.

They said it was the best one yet. We had like over two thousand people show up, which is great for us, and we raised almost two million dollars for local benefiting organizations in the um Brower County area. Jesse j and Deborah Cox actually got on stage and performed together. Those two singing heifers. Was phenomenal and they're both sweethearts, and overall it was just really good. It was a really really good um show. What. I'm really proud, you know.

CEO was happy, which always is a good thing for me. And yeah, and I'm taking my butt to Vegas tomorrow. And you were in Florida, And let me ask you a personal question, stopping help, did you do any real therapy? Dear listen, don't be putting my business on the street. I did. I did do some retail therapy for those of you guys that live in Florida. If you ever go to Florida and you want to go to an

outlet to get some discounted prices. Um. I went to saw Grass, which is like right between Hollywood, Florida and for Lauderdale, which where our event was in Fort Lauderdal. And yes, I did some retail therapy because I had a stressful week. Okay, yes I did. I got some cute stuff and I was happy. Yes, it ain't No, it wasn't even stressed. You just need a reason it was stressful. It made me. I felt better after I got the stuff, So yes, it was stressed for leaving

for sure. Well this was listened. So we started off by doing south By Southwest and in Texas or was it eighteen? What day was that there? What day was that there? Was it even that late? No? We were there like the yeah, which was absolutely phenomenal. We required some new corporate sponsors for My Heart. I spoke with Connor the president, Will Pearson, gayl uh feel um Noel. Everyone at My Heart was so loving and so welcoming

to me, and they made me feel so special. They loved what I had to say to promote laugh and learning podcasts, as well as so many other influences on the on I Heart under the Black and Peckt network, and I'm speaking tomorrow for I Heart here in l A. But after leaving there, I went to Chicago to get a couple of dresses made, and then we had such a whirlwind in New York. We did Caroline posted by Sherry Shephard along with Damon Williams as a special guest.

It was wildly successful. So many of the flame Man showed up, showed out, showed love, came from near and far. I appreciated some of y'all. I love. Some of y'all is a little stranger than I like for you to be. But never guys came and showed the loyalty as support, which was great. Then I did The Breakfast Club again for the fifth time, fourth time in studio, which was wildly successful, and they offered me a job, Thank you Jesus.

And we did the Wendy Williams Show with guest host Sherry Shepherd, and we sold them four minutes of fame. And now we got something big coming, so I will be working with you talk about it. We could do a reveal later. We'll be joining Sherry Shepherd as part of her team for the New Sherry Show in September, doing hot topics that that I can talk about. But overall it was the most successful uh run that I've had.

That just was so great and I'm looking forward to all the big things that's gonna jump off from this. But it was great and we laugh, they laughed, Rady show. So some of you guys get to actually see it from home that Thursday. So it was pretty dope. And now we're going on to move forward. And Lauren, you you set all that up. Lauren did all the contracts, made sure I would take care of I'm telling you right now, if you wanted me to love you, take care of me, and I'm talk about financially, if you

want me to love you as a person. I love people that take care of me because I'm so independent and I don't allow everybody in. But Lord takes care of me. Because if she did not cuss her ass out any who I want to. I don't want to get heavy in it right now. We'll but I want to get it out the way because I want to get I want to spend most of my time on the pride that I have for black women in this country.

And what Kataji Brown Jackson is doing right now, we'll get that will be there, that will be the basis

of the show. But I shot with the hypocrisy of the trans community, LGBT community, with the disrespect of Leah Thompson, who was a male athlete a year ago, a male swimmer and competition who ranked in the low four hundreds or possibly even the low five where they keep coming up with different numbers or ain't too and there was five something, so it was it was very low anyho, and she I'm going because I wanted to dress her as a propo now that she wants to be the

dressed as wants to compete against the women and have competed against the female swimmers and has become number one. So my the disrespect to me, First of all, you're disrespecting biological women, because I don't say sis, I say biological.

You're disrespecting biological women. Secondly, I feel like you're disrespecting women of trans experience who have put in the time and the effort and the years of blood, wet and tears to productively live as women uh live in society and blend work as women and respectfully carry themselves as women. You let this micro wave trendy come through after a year to become wherever you want them to be. And now the hypocrisy is they saying that it's fair. It

is not fair. First of all, they said this y'all walk in the round, in the in the dressing room with her junk out. Here's the thing. I've done drag shows for thirty years, and as a trans performer, even getting dressed with all my girlfriends and in the room, we don't walk around with our stuff out, not because we're ashamed of what we have. It's just respect for the other girl. You know, you don't want to show

your personal area to another girl. And this child is walking around with her penis and testicals because she has a penis in testicos. She don't tuck going some women, so you can really tell she got one in front of all these young girls and women. Disrespectful it is. I've never learned to walk backwards. No one ever taught me to walk backwards. But if the trans community and the gay community don't see that this is walking us backwards, I don't know what it's going to take. It is preponderous.

It is ridiculous. It is disrespectful not only to trans women but to biological women because a lot of those women have trained for years and years and years, and you are putting them up against a physically strong man that has transition to a woman. This child looked like Michael Phelps with a bun. What she really looks like? It is the character very Demilo from and Living Single, the character Jim Carrey used to play. And I I am in a place of rage and fury about it

because I'm not hearing about how I identify identified. If you want to be fair in this country, create a lane for trans for trans athletes, just like they created the special Olympics, they have the pair of political Olympics. The w NBA was created so that professional women could play basketball with each other since they couldn't play with the me. So create a lane for trans athletes. First of all, I don't think nobody's gonna watch that ship. I see it what I see it, but training sniffers

and training chases. But still create a lane to make it fair. You're biological woman, Lord, please give me your take on it, because I love when you challenged me, and you see something different. Tell me. If I'm seeing something wrong, please tell me. So you actually brought this

story up to me. I wasn't very familiar with it, but I don't know the whole you know, circumstances around this, but what it sounds like from what I've read and what you and I have talked about, it almost seems like it was a matter of convenience that this, you know, that Leah Thompson basically went from being a male athlete to a female athlete. Um, it's just it's a little strange. And I'm not trying to be offensive or you know, cause any harm in what I'm saying, but you know, timing,

it's a little strange, you know what I mean. So I actually do agree with you in terms of I think that the best thing to do in these scenarios is to actually create an Olympics for you know, the transgender community. And there's nothing wrong with that, you know

what I mean. People have feedback of saying like, oh, that's not fair, they're not you're not giving them equal opportunity, But I don't see it as that, you know, just to your point, we have the special Olympics, we have you know, different types of Olympics for different you know, communities of people, and it's to level out the playing field.

And to your point, to have an athlete who was competing with men and swimming and ranked between four or five whatever the actual number is, and to then switch over to being, you know, an athlete competing with women and all of a sudden you're number one and you've got testosterone throwing flowing through your body. It is. It's an unfair advantage. It's no different from that look like they could move a gallon of water with each stroking.

That looked like or so you know that thing. It's ridiculous. I'm telling you something right now, and you know this is last line, so I'm gonna make a joke about it. But what I do now is the disrespect. It is setting back the trans community like you wouldn't believe. And I hate that the trans community don't see that because like I said, I ain't never learned to walk backwards. And if this is Generation Z sick enough for this, you know, is the last last alphabet we'll be going

after that? Okay, Well, you know gen Z folks, they're very fluid, they're very outspoken, which I think is great. Um, but I do agree with you one that I think that a specific lyne should be created because do you think that it was a matter of convenience that Leah Thompsone from being a male athlete to a female athlete

just to get a higher ranking. I think that the words that they used to say was man one man up, that she needed to one man up, no out of no distries, one man up, and then you should have made yourself competition level on that. Now you identify as a woman. I get that if that's how you feel on the ins that, I completely understand that. But the fairness of you challenging and swimming against these other women.

And here's the question, lord, if you had a daughter that was on a swimming team sixteen seventeen years old and they had a trans woman in here with you and she walking around with her penis out, how would you feel as a parent. I would have an issue with that. I mean, and this is coming from me. Mind you like, I grew up dancing all the time, so backstage, you know, you gotta strip, change costumes and

everything sometimes. You know, we never had dressing rooms with men per se, But you know, you grew up with, you know, the guys that you were dancing with, so there was a level of comfort to you know, some guys definitely have seen my boobs on my but before. It is what it is, but they're still to your point, there's still a level of respect. You're just not getting undressed and just walking around, you know, in your birthday suit just because you can, or maybe just because you

just want to feel free. That's not That's not appropriate, you know what I mean, whether in any capacity really, you know what I mean, unless you want to go to a new beach and you know that's what you were marketing for, but that's not appropriate. I I absolutely agree with you, and we my trans brothers and sisters and to my biological brothers and sisters, and I'm gonna see it, and I'm gonna sit in as play of

Layman's terms as I can. Trans Women are trans women, Transmian are Transmien women are women, and me and are men. And that is as simple as I can make And that is not taking anything or discrediting anything from anyone. That is what it is. We keep muddying the waters and making it great, and it's confusing the hell out of the youth while y'all talking about and setting up for for this child who's over there who has clearly

been disrespectful to women and to me. And honestly, y'all should be in Texas and you should be in Florida fighting for that. No, don't say gay Bill, because what you're doing is killing the youth with nobody to talk to, no protection, no outlet to let that free to freely speak to someone to make them feel comfortable and non judgmental. Y'all, y'all did this. I didn't do it. Y'all died, and

I'm gonna say what I said, y'all need it. I didn't do it because I'm telling Apple and I know a stick from a stone, and I know people are definitely gonna take issue with that comment that you just made. But like I said all the time, you're an anomaly in especially in the trans space, because I've never met somebody a part of the trans community or i should say,

or identifies as trans that has your your ideology. At the end of the day, Um, you really see the world in black and white, and you know you come from an area and era excuse me of like Rocky Horror Picture Show and like, you know, stone Wall, I mean, I'm gonna put I'm gonna putt your age out there. But I'm just saying like, that's a little bit before your time. I know, I know, but I'm just saying that's that's where you know, that's where you come from

in terms of your background. You know, you still say the word tranny, which is a lot of trans people find that offensive. You know, they're like, don't call me a training But that was a familiar term, you know, when you were growing up in this community. So saying all that to say, yeah, creating a you know, an Olympics for the trans community, I think that's it's fair because otherwise, I mean, to have somebody who's transgender competing with them in like a Leiah Thompson, you can clearly

see that there's still testosterone being produced. Women get disqualified for things like that if they were to take a hormone enhance her or something, you know, to perform better. And it's in my eyes, it's the same, Yeah, did you stay on the swim so it looked like the easter egg down? She didn't even try to add it. That is one of the purposes of being a trans woman. And when you just keep your when you keep your male genitalia, you at least try to put it away

and had it. This clearly is just laying there like dad meet girl. I'm not at all she looks like Michael Phelps with a bun if y'all really want the dirt. But you know what, I'm not knocking that shelf in the fact that's trans, that that is something that is ingrained in your DNA. I understand that part. I will never understand. And and I'm more upset with the powers that be with the people on the board that allowed this to happen, because y'all should have put your foot

down and said, no, this is not happening. But you know, everybody up in the armies about what they identified as if they are created lane, if you create a lane for trans athletes, we wouldn't even have to have this conversation. Yeah, I agree with you, but as we all know, everybody scared of cancel culture. So imagine if they didn't allow Leah Thompson to compete with the women and all of the media outrage and the trans community is gonna be

coming for the swimming Olympics. People like you could you know how that goes, so it don't always work. I eat Netflix, Dave Chappelle. Okay, let's move forward, well really quickly too. Well, I hold on before we get there, though, I do want to just say, because you mentioned Disney and that don't Say Gay Bill, I do want to give cool rose to the Disney stars that are actually

pushing back against Disney. I saw a report today that Raven Simone and the entire cast of Raven's Home actually walked out today because of the don't Say Gay Bill, and Disney stands on it. You know, Gabrielle Union has spoke out publicly because she just did the Cheaper by the Dozen movies saying how you know this is not right and Disney should have taken a proper stance on it,

and basically calling out the CEO. Disney also did a walk out today, So UM shout out to all those people that are, you know, fighting for the rights of these young kids. Because even still, the don't Say gaybel actually failed in Georgia. They tried to bring it to you know, the house and they were like, no, we're not doing that. So I think Texas is the next one. As young as a young gay person or young whatever identified as. I knew I had strange feelings when I

was young. I knew I felt different people, but I couldn't talk to my mother about it. My father wasn't there, my uncles were completely against it, and so my aunties and a black household is here. It's horrible for me to say this, but in a black household, it's probably safe for you to be a nax murder or a rapist than it is for you to come out and say that you're gay or trance. And I know that sounds really crazy, but that is that is what it

is in the Black community a lot. And I'm not sure if this is in other communities because I don't know other communities. I know the Black community. But I had a counselor and I had a teacher that made me feel safe enough to talk to them about how I felt. They didn't judge me, they embraced me. So I it made me comfortable being who I was because I had an outlet. Had I not had that outlet, I probably would have cut my wrists or cut my throat because I would have felt so ostracized and so

unique from everybody else. Because of course we want to fit in, We want to feel like everybody else feels. But I needed somebody to reac me that I was okay. Now given taken that away. When people who don't have something like that, what what is that is going to cause suicide and and and harm, self harm and self deplication to people, or self mutilation because a lot of people are taught to hate their gender, tell you in their trans they tell you to hate that you were

born in the wrong body. I don't know how people feel. I never felt like I was born in the wrong body. I enhanced the body that I had. I never took off anything but some weight. But I put on you know, I just put on what I wanted. It is not giving these young people who identify as queer and LGBT or trans any place to go but to the grave. And that's it's horrible to say it like that, but it's absolutely true. No, I think that's very factual. You

know what I mean. If you don't have outlets, especially you know, as kids, if you don't have a safe space to go to, where do you go? You know what I mean, If you can't communicate and express your feelings. You know what I mean, and you know, every kid can't afford a therapist and have mommy or daddy sending me to go talk to somebody, you know. So I I wholeheartedly agree with that. And I like that you're saying that too, like you enhanced your body. You didn't

change your body, you enhance it. That was like that. But now when I was younger, let me be honest and be very open. And I admit that when I was maybe nineteen or twenty because actually considered having a sexual reassignment surgery, I wanted to get, you know, a sex change or whatever. But there was a different mind frame. And then at that time you had to say thirty forty thousand dollars. I ain't had no job that's gonna help me, and let me say thirty or forty dollars.

Now they have insurances now that will do that. A lot of companies even do that, like Starbucks are pretty good with that. But if I would have done that, looking back on my life now, I realized the great mistake that I personally would have made because I wouldn't have had children, and I would not have had the experience of loving a couple of people that I loved you know, because I didn't have a penis, you know. But that that's a whole another conversation. But what I'm

saying that in life changes in phases. You may think one thing thirteen and eighteen, you think another thing, you think a whole another thing thirty two to forty. So give yourself an opportunity to to live your life, discover who you are, find the joys of who you are before you make drastic decisions, because sometimes you make a decision and you can't take it back. That's real, That's

very real. So now, yes, we got to talk about some black girl magic, period girl magic effect this past weekend, and carolins because I talked about it and not just talk about the black girl magic of the power of the strongest women in this goddamn country, which is the black women. And let's start with the k d J. Yes, So, miss or I should say, actually, let me give her proper title, Honorable Cantangi Brown Jackson is um actually in the midst of her confirmation hearing to become the next

Cotus and sit on the Supreme Court. And I must say, I don't know if you've seen this chart that's been so circulating around social media. Out of all of the judges that are currently sitting on the Supreme Court, including Judge Bryer, who she's about to replace, she has the most qualifications out of everybody. She's more qualified than every single person currently sitting on this bench. And the fact that her qualifications are actually in question right now is baffling,

And honestly, it's very disrespectful. It's very dis VERI and then sitting to Republicans, those Republican senators starting with tag crews, air Crews, who has been openly Donald Trump disrespected you

in Republic and talked about your ugly wife. You ran off when Texas was underwater, You ran to Cancoon to have a vacation, and you questioned her about her validity, talking about she let sex offenders off, when y'all clearly pushed Kevin Owen who was accused of sexual harassment, and when I tell you on when I watched it today, I was so hurt, but reminded of what country I live in and what color I am, But I was they kept reminding, but I wanted to go through that

TV and me and Lindsey Graham was gonna do you think he said on that on that sitting floor and talking about green eggs and half for twenty three hours. I wanted to be the trending that boxed his ears in because the disspect and the blade racist and he talks about so you believe babies are racist? And I know she. I loved her for keeping her cool and her composure and patiently, but I want nigga, if you

don't knock it off, babies ain't well. The funny thing is Trevor Noah actually put together a clip of all of the different facial expressions she's had to make during UM. Ted Cruise is questioning of her, but I just the fact that you know, to your point that her record in terms of convicting, you know, child pornographers, and you know the fact that we have Brett Kavanaugh who's sitting on the bench. He Clarence Clarence Thomas too, He's another

one we didn't forget about Annita Hill. But but just the hypocrisy of it all is just baffling. And Ted Cruise was actually her classmate at Harvard Law, like he knows her, and he's still choosing to go down this rabbit hole of oh, you're gonna push critical race theory and oh, you're gonna do that. Ted Cruz is one of those senators who is actually Latino but forgets that

part and just wants to be white. And honestly that those are the worst kinds that they're dimn They're worse than racist because they just hate who they are as people. And I just, um, it was making my blood boil watching all of the different questions that he was asking her, and questions that didn't even really go towards her being a judge. Talking about critical race theory and you know, what's the curriculum in this school and what's your tied to it? She's like, this has nothing to do with

me being a judge. Why aren't you asking me questions that actually go towards the qualifications that I already have or the mindset that I'm going to have when I actually sit on the Supreme Court. That's not what his questions are about. It's like it's gas lighting, And like I said, it's just very very valid point him opening up that cannon worms because there's so many Americans. I ain't gonna just pointing out no party to mean are so stupid and so easily distracted because that's all they're

gonna heat. Which is why I when I have people always say flame you trans com me transgender comedian. No, I am a comedian that happens to be transgendent. And I know a lot of you all don't understand when I do that, but I'm telling you, sometimes the way you deliver the words makes a substantial difference. He opened up with cans and worms because he wants everybody to look at that record. He don't want them to see the good and what she the qualifications that she has.

He just wants to talk about the sex stuff. It is. It is distracting, and it's this dismissive and fucking disrespectful. But even him trying to come for her in terms of her track record of convicting, you know, pornographers, and he had his whole chart and he's writing on it like this was the recommended sentence from the prosecutor and this was atent decrease of the time that they asked you.

And I love her response to him. She said, first of all, we've been instructed by Congress, which basically she said, we've been instructed by you. You sit in Congress, that we cannot only look at this one element when it comes to convicting sex offenders. There's a myriad of things that you all have instructed us to look at. So I love that she basically called him stupid for asking the question. I loved she she's subliminally throwing jabs. And

that's honestly what makes black women so powerful. We know how to gut you. Real cute, real classy, and very educated and a very you know, he ain't my favorite, even Corey Booker for the praise and the love and the acknowledgement that he gave her. Senator Dick Durbin shipped Ted Cruise down, like, dude, let's move on to something else. You have said on this for thirteen fourteen minutes. What else do you have? You know why he has nothing else? Because he is an idiot and all you textas that

voted for him. Yeah see, And that's that's the thing though. It's like, I can't even call Ted Cruise an idiot, per se. It's almost he is smart. I gotta give him that, But his constituency those are the idiots. If we're gonna clarify the people that support him, those are the idiots, and that's why he says things like the questions that he's asking. And you know he made the

comments about Paris, Texas and the Paris Accord. He's saying those things because his his body or his supporters are uneducated white people, and those those those uh that gas lighting, that's what registers with them. That's why he's doing this. So he's not fully stupid. People's decision. And let me

be the first to give you this exclusive exclusive. After watching President Zelinsky in the Ukraine, who used to be a comedian, actor, dancer, entertainer, run and become president, I have decided I'm going to throw my head into and here's the plus. Not only will I be the president, but I can also be my very own first letter. You wait a minute, Wait that's towards roquite a minute. You just want the cloth, and let's say, you just

want the day. This is about I see this world that we're living in, and I just so many things. Whenever I think it can't get any worse, I am sadly mistaken. I am sadly pulled back. I'm like, I don't know, I feel like saying it's it can't get worse. It kind of just to me, feels like we're living in a time warp, you know, because just certain things that were issues in the you know, the forties and fifties and the sixties, we're still dealing with today, you know.

So I kind of just feel like we're in this time loop, you know, reliving this curse of what America is almost you know what I mean. It's wild to think that I am having or seeing the same experiences that my great great grandmother, you know, experience is That's the part that trips me out to this day. You know. It's like we talk about being progressive and moving forward, but have we really not? And actually I shouldn't say that we have moved forward, but it's not where American

as a black American. Right now, I'm telling you, right now, y'all need to pay attention to what is happening because the elections are coming up in the primaries of November, and look at the Republicans are playing chess and not checkers. They are putting state senators and positions that counter vote in states that they lost in. So I'm telling you now,

registered to vote, utilize your right to vote. I don't even know who we have as a candidate right now because Joe almost about two hundred as it is so good God, we have to, you know, please say attention and please don't let anybody tell you that don't vote whatever what have you have, you your vote, manage your vote counts. And we have to do this because as you can see, we are walking backwards. And I was never talked about backwards. I was always talked about forward.

And we are welcome as a nation, not only as a people, but as Americans. We are walking backwards. Yeah, that's that's definitely for sure. And that's the other thing I gotta say too, is that why I guess the Republican Party knows how to win. I don't know if people realize it, but the Republican Party is always pushing the Democratic agenda because they'll go and try to take something away or cause a freaking problem, and then all of a sudden that becomes a priority for the Democratic Party.

So I just really want us to get smarter and I don't even know, like just strategic at this point, because who's who's guiding this ship at this point, because it's not us the people under the Democratic ticket, but they have the republic Yeah, that too. Splitting the votes. Yeah, absolutely, that's what's happened there in California with Rick Caruso. Yeah shoot so. But anyways, saying all that to say here,

laugh and learn. We have a motto, and that is we are never trying to get anybody to change your mind. We are simply trying to get y'all to you Brown Jackson. We gotta raise the roof because we gotta get that sort of appointing to the because the frame court. And you know last week Claron Thomas was in the hospital. I thought we was gonna get two seats because at last time we try to get you use them man. But in order to use your man, you have to

understand yourself and who you are. Stop letting other people think for you, and think through you, look at yourself, and be happy with the decisions that you make. Use your man, because I'm telling you it's important. Everybody is so sweet about what somebody I never got to go with the masses. If I feel right about something, I feel right about it. If I feel that something is wrong, I'm going to feel that because I'm gonna at the end of the day, I have to be comfortable with

the decision that I made, not somebody made for me. Baby. We want you to be an independent thing. This ain't critical race thinking. This is independent thing. Thank you, Sherry Chevard for just God sends me angels all the time. Lauren happens to be one. Tiffany Hattris was one, Sherry Shepherd is one. It's so

many people in my life that have one. So when y'all always say flame, why do you admire women? Why do you uphold women? Because women, mostly black, but have always looked out for me, and that is important to me. It's always important to me to give back to the people that looked out for me. That's not to say that the men have not looked out for me as well, but women publicly have put me in spaces that I probably would have never gotten in on my own, just

even with my raw talent. So thank you to women. I I bowed down to women because I am a female impersonator. I tried to emulate a woman. I ain't gonna never be one. I might smash one, but I damn drying gonna be one. Al Right. We love you guys. It's always an appreciate you tuning in and we will see you next week. Thank you, see you next week.
