Sandra Cuffe is a freelance journalist based in Guatemala. Originally from Vancouver, she has lived in Central America for 15 of the past 20 years. Her work has been published by Al Jazeera, LA Times, The Guardian, The Intercept, Mongabay, The Washington Post, The New Humanitarian, and many other outlets. Sandra covers human rights, politics, social movements, migration and environmental issues. She has filed stories from all seven Central American countries as well as Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Canada.
