Cyclone Amphan lands in West Bengal

Cyclone Amphan made landfall on Wednesday and caused huge damage to West Bengal. There has been waterlogging in several parts of Kolkata in the wake of the cyclone. Electricity in several parts of the state was cut off as trees got uprooted and disrupted the line. It is one of the worst cyclones which the city has faced for a long time. Cyclone Amphan is very likely to weaken into a deep depression during the next 3 hours as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
