Episode description

Quick tip: You HAVE to be visual!

Club Comic, Self-Taught Drummer, Repeat Guest, and STINKA Sam Taggart joins Matt & Bo in the new "work in progress" FDPN studio for an episode that will have you singing! No cultural stone goes UNTURNED: they talk Antoni from Queer Eye, Omorosa, Fish Women, Arepas, Clive Davis being an asshole, the aftermath of Jennifer Aniston's breakup (beautifully rendered live on mic through improvisation), Drag Race, SJP, and -- you guessed it -- more! Plus, Sam reveals the name of his new cologne, "Crust Prep"; Matt receives a text saying that Frozen on Broadway's version of "Let It Go" is the gag of the century; and Bowen has hate in his heart for Kings Of Leon.

Look man, oh, I see you? Why and look over there? How is that? Culture? Yes, boss d culture calling. We have to address one thing, the elephant in the room. The elephant in the room, which is the room we're in, which is no longer the little Harry Potter broom close that we were in. That was a crazy twist that the elephant in the room was the room. Wow, crazy twist. How meta. It's so big. I already love it here me too. I feel very at home. I feel very

at home. We have a cultures to have perched on a bookshelf to remind us where we came from. Remind us where we came from. We have a Forever Dog studio Marquee. We have a Phillies player. Ma. It's great. I have notes. I have notes about the work program. We need a table. We'll get a table. We're gonna get a little table for that light over there, and we're gonna get a little end table for the lights. Want to make sure we're covered on tables. And but

I gotta say, the books are gaggery. There's such a great variety, you know, it's a very masculin. But I see some eighties smith, I see I see I see some good stuff. I see some I see great variety. There's some black Panther comics at the bottom. Who is reading these books? I think Alex and HPJ. You guys hang out in here and read the books. Okay, I don't know. It's I don't judge you what you based you.

We just want to We just want to congratulate forever Dog for reading, for reading, and for just moving into this great space that is literally two blocks away from my apartment. Oh my god, that's privilege. That is that is privileged to be so close to the podcast studio. That's I I agree. I agree every time you walk in here and know that it's been really hard for me to get here from from forty minutes. Absolutely, and um, you know this is an oppression narrative for you and

for noticing support you. But I can't fully ever experience what you are experienced, right, did you notice, um speaking of that, did you notice my entsemble today? Yeah? Okay, Matt walked in. He said, we're giving you full Anthony drag. Is that what you said? Something to that effect? It was it was those where and and our guest and I fully groaned. We said no, no, no, no, no, no, and a small a small voice, but a mighty one, and I will not be silent. Well, let's let's get

our guest. Free Anthony hashtag for Anthony from What, Free him from What? Bring him in? Let's read the credit. We're gonna bring him in. Here the credits, bitch. He hosts the monthly Shows, the Amazing Monthly Shows here in Brooklyn, Future Forms and Stevie Future Forms at on a rotating uh list of venues, and Stevie at Our Wicked Lady, Amazing shows that We've both done, and Marsh Juwin Marsh and with Julio and Mary and Joe and this and this is the guy. This is the reason why he's on.

We want him to talk about his incredible new solo show. We can't wait to see it. Oh my god, poster is amazing. Work on that. With a little help from Sisters Weekend, My Goal Love It and Gelo Club Comic y'all Club Comic, y'all, it's gonna be so good. You guys in the Union Hall March seven at eight p m. Honey, get your tickets now, they're going to go I Live. I'll be there and they're gonna go betch I'll be there as well. Okay, so please two days after my birthday, Saw,

I'm making it my birthday party. Please welcome our guest, Sam Tagger. Oh my gosh, Hello, thank you so much for having me. This is a true honor and a pleasure time. He's our third two timer and this is historic, this is huge. Okay, Sam, what do you think about Anthony? Let's let's get it. Thank you. He when you were like, what is he guilty of, it's like truly murdered. He is. It's not whether he killed before, it's where he hit the bodies. He is a you can see it in

his eyes. This is the sixth or seventh time I've heard this, and now I'm realizing it's not just like a funny joke every one's making. It's a belief that he's a murderer for real. This is real. This is It was an immediate like I saw him come on screen and I was like, I felt the fear strike my heart. I understand barking birds, birds started hitting the windows in effect, I'll say, she no, is it? What is it? A look in his eyes, the smirk, it's

the tone, there's just like it's still like handsomeness. That's like, wait a minute, this is a trap. And someone pointed out to me that the way he says a rapa and I didn't notice this, but the way he says a rape I don't know exactly how he said it. So this is still some work that I have to do. But is the right way that you're supposed to say it? Um, like if we're gonna work with Spans language is very complicated, and it's absolutely complicated, but I believe a rapa is

the Spanish way to pronounce it. Crazy thing to be on record for. I think he may have it pronounced it like arepa pay like some insane way to pronounce it way that he called. I'm willing to look past the mispronunciation. Like I read your article today and then writing you know, I couldn't help but disagree with everything you thought. Everything I thought? Yes, okay, did you agree with anything I thought of it? Thank you. I knew

what I was walking into today. I knew the way the tides would turn, and I will say this, I refused to be bullied or silenced US hashtag free Anthony. We are a minority in this country and this is the year of minorities being heard where he love Anthony, listened to us free Anthony hashtag free Antony. To me, it's like, I truly was just like who cast him? Like what? Honey? If you look at his fucking IMDb page, it's full of the d list roles like he was

an actor, the list roles. I would kill for those credits. Okay, the blacklist, honey, the Blacklist, Like I'm saying, like under fives, like he's like at my level, our level, all of ours, this stupid bitch, and I'm not. I'm not trapesing around Georgia being like, what's a thirst trap? Look at this? It's a great Did he not know what a thirst trap was? I don't remember that. Don't cast him then,

like it's insane. I think it's genius. I think he obviously has us talking, you know, the person who had us talking this way became its awful. He's bringing down the dialogue to a level where it shouldn't be. He's shitting on queer for the straight guy's legacy. Are you a fan? You know? Slightly? Okay? This TV show used to be the highest gay makeover show in the land. Now it's this great. Oh my god, Fine, you know what's the gold standard property brothers. I'm not familiar, you knows,

I'm familiar with the concept. I'm just saying like I'm coming into this as like, you know, not super familiar with makeover shows in general. But you know what you're feeling exactly. And I love the other four, love them and love you know what. At the end of the day, love Anthony Fellow Canadian love him. But this is a

question that I have. We know that he's a good person, right because now let's getting to the point where like people are like, we hate him, and then you never know what these people on the Twitter on the instant what does what does these people mean? People comments, people who comment like you don't comment, I don't comment. I did. I will cop to this. I will cop to this.

I did send Tan a message what Tan got on his instant story and was discussing how he was getting a lot of kind of crazy d ms about how people were disappointed that they went on Megan kelly show. They were like, why did you go on macan Kelly's show? And so he took two inst the story and he was like, Hi, guys, a lot of you are d m NG asking why we did Megan Kelly um, it was to reach an audience. It's not about like whose show it is, It's about the audience that we can

reach on our show. Is in a rare position to do that. And then he goes and I just also want to say that a lot of what you guys are saying is absolutely disgusting, and so I really wanted to address that because it's really gross and nobody ever deserves to be talked about this way. And I commented, I was like, thank you for doing that. That was good.

I was like, that is a little period that any that that that's the thing that you have to end on for every kind of statement, like you know, thing like that where you're just like, also, by the way,

did you ever say that? I hope people can find the distinction between lovingly talking about something because you're obsessed with it and it's a gen genuinely a good thing and generally a good thing in your life and like hatred so and he's a good person, but Sam, what's the over and under on him being an actual serial? He's like, that would fall under bad person for me personally. I don't know. I mean, we don't. He's doing like

a dexter thing where he's like killing only criminals. Like he definitely has the thirst for blood, and like, I don't like on a base level thing, the thirst for blood is like a bad thing. Process. Who's someone with a thirst for blood? That's great, Tanya Harding, Tanya and I don't know, let's talk about Oh, let's talk about miss Morosa. Oh wow, um, we don't. We don't actually have to have a conversation about this. Omar Rosa though,

is spilling all the teams. She's spilling all the tea she is she changing in your public Okay, good, but again, just checking on the tithe She's doing a slight service and it barely balances out all the horrible things she's Yeah, all of that. Like when people are like, actually I made a mistake, it's like you knew it was obvious before. It wasn't some trick, it was plain. Also, I just want to say and no, I'm gonna say that, man,

I don't think the honey. Okay, that's great to know there's that passion in the room, though, And I stopped myself and I I'm going to organize my thoughts a little bit more. That's so cool. It's so cool like watching him articulate that point. Yeah, I mean taught me about language really probably, Yeah, absolutely, I'm sure Bowen's right. I would never question Bowen when it comes to languages than he knows so many SAMs and to think that

English is his third language. Crazy, Yeah it is, that's true. I'm just accepting that I'm doing. Do you think that's the most amazing thing about you? Yes? Completely? But you know what, I was just talking to someone at work about this and she speaks fluent French and um every time, the same, same, same sime. Now I'm I am copying to just not actually knowing my French anymore, and I need to get better at it. If anyone wants to help me immerse um, you know, let me know if it.

Even if it was Anthony, who knows some of his you know, French Canadian, I don't know. That could be what makes you guys best friend. I think you guys would really bond over him teaching you French. That would be nice. And maybe you could teach him how to cook. What if it's a win a date with Tad Hamilton's scenario, which is often a scenario that I think about, where Anthony sees you and falls in love with you. What do you keep your take from now? Or do you

go along for the ride like a magic carpet. I think in order to make the narrative more compelling and to have conflict there, I need to resist his advances like Kate Bosworth exactly, and I need to be like no Anthony, I wrote, I've written about how much I dislike you. I could never this can never work. This actually is a good rom conference this wait has this been done? Like where viewer fucking hates someone meets that person?

Is that you've got male ish familiar familiar? Yeah, it's it's it sounds familiar, but you know what, that's always a good idea when it seems familiar. But then you find out no one's done it. Yes, yes, yes, and so um yeah third act, you know what happens, Um, instead of an airport chase, it's it's a drone doc chase. I'm about to port to drone. That's amazing, that's really cool. That's really that really makes it current? Yeah yeah, So anyway, um,

who's casting it? Who's casting in? I can't do the work. You guys. Do my god, what I want to see be funny? You know the time that movie is going to be really also have really funny moments. Oh my god, this is like her getting off the drone is going to be such a funny moment. Oh my god, Sandra Bullock. Oh okay, so this is not based on me and and it worked straight? Yeah, it should be straight, absolutely, because that way it's like, you know, people don't like

watching I know that. Yeah, yeah, I definitely like would love for like you to play your sign No, but I think Sandra Bullock would just like she would want to fun. She'd be so fun coming off the drone that I just picked. I would want to cast Anthony as himself, but he doesn't have much experience any over five lines, so I don't know. Yeah, no, I think we take the risk. Yeah you gotta. I mean those people that are gonna see it, they're gonna see the

blood lust. And it's not that I'd have a problem with that. It's just like like they will yeah kind of not buy a totally polarizing you know, how would it do overseas? How would it do internet? Right? And think about that where they make their money. Absolutely everything. Every Hollywood boardroom, everyone always brings up China. Now it's this is true. Every action movie you have to have a car chase in South Korea that ends in a gunfight. You have to you have to have that. Also, that's

a Black Panther reference. I also not a spoiler alert. Um, I still love how in Black Panther even though some of it takes place in South Korea, the Asian people, the Asian character still relegated to just being like fish women, like fish, fish sales. Fish not a fish women in the real sense, because you can believe that in the world, but they are fish. Damn it. She's a bouncer and she's a bouncer and find she like is cool with

Andy circus fish women. I'm gonna just go ahead and say front runner for a title of that so far, the front runner, because every after every episode we kind of like have a moment where we disagree about the title of Epps so far. I just want to check him with everyone. Fish women, Yes, Sam, why don't you tell us a little bit about Club Comic. Yes, it's what we're gagged for. So club comic is this show? So I you know, a couple of years ago, I

made this track called X song. There was a club track where I speak because I famously can't sing, so you know, I spoke over a techno beat and the UM sort of an exploration into that world again UM with UM, you know, a fuller concept of being a club party pop star and making a bunch of tracks. It's it's a it's a throwback to like you know, Michael Musto. It's like it's a little it's a little party monster but modernized but with a comedic bent infused

into stand up. Is that is this an accurate description? I think that's a very accurate description. Is trying to find that mark between Paris Hilton's drunk text and LCD sound systems losing my edge. Okay, that's beautiful, that's amazing. That's very visual. And here's the thing though, with Sam knows rhythm, and this is what separates Sam from let's say I Countess Luan doing um jeake say Levy. It's um that Sam has an understanding of rhythm because he

is a drummer. This is true. This is fact. I didn't know you were a drummer, didn't from my bulging But you're not walking around drumming. That's true, that you're not going out to the club's drumming. I don't advertise as such. Yeah, you advertise as mostly comic and friend yes, um, but drumming. Have you been doing that your whole life? Uh? No? I started in college. Uh taught Yeah. Yeah, rhythm a natural. It was a natural fit. And I would play with

my friends. And then I moved to New York and played in a couple of bands for a little bit and it was interesting. Yes, of course, any interest in revisiting that M sort of. I sort of am. But the music scene is like way more serious and I am not I'm good at that. What is the music scene anyway anymore? I don't know. I actually I am so disconnected honestly at this point, I am also extremely disconnected. Well, I mean, I guess, like and also, how you get

started in the music industry. That's so bizarre. When like at NT Want You, they had that really weird Clive Davis recorded music like concentration. It was like a school and you guy, guess could learn to be a pop star. Oh my god. Yeah, I mean, like, um, somebody was in it. No, they're not coming to my host really is that it's Maggie Rogers. Have you heard Maggie Rogers. And the thing is she wasn't even the one I was thinking about. I'm still not landing on this other one.

But I know that some oak it's like a chantelle types. Oh no, like it's like an R and B singer. I'm just not landing on. Well, do they teach the students at the Clive Davis fucking thing how to you know, make themselves more palatable to a wide audience like they did Whitney. Um, I think they do teach branding, by the way, and now she's like trapped, She's like she's got deals. I do want to say everyone should read this New York Times piece about how Clive Davis destroyed Whitney. Absolutely,

I'm extremely anti Davis is a monster. He Well, there was the documentary about Whitney about How which basically said,

you know, she left lived her life closeted sexually. Whether she was bisexual or a lesbian is up for debate, but she wasn't a long relationship with this woman that was the love of her life, Robin and um, it was extremely hidden from the public eye, and most of that had to do with two people, which was her mother who was very religious and very controlling, and Clive who was like focused on making her the biggest pop diva in the world. And you just couldn't be in

the same sex relationship and be that. And so Clive Davis, who we find out later on is himself closet and who and he just came out, I mean a few years ago, and like there we go. So so think about that. Think about someone who stays closeted sexually for eighty five years, Like that's who we're dealing with here. So that's how little he cared about the artists. He didn't care about himself. So like he really kind of

like fucked Whitney up. I think that he knew. I don't know, this is like alleged, but it was pretty common knowledge as she was doing drugs, etcetera. Also, he had like a big public fight with Kelly Clarkson. There was an entire chapter of his book that was like she sucks to work with. Not sure if she would have made it in the music industry with that American idol. She was a cry baby over songs that I picked for her and and made her a huge star. She

didn't want to sing them. Her instincts were always wrong. I was always right, not think she says it's true. She comes out with a statement and she's like, no, actually, fuck this, I'm not gonna lie down and take this. He's lying. He's misremembering incidents here, specifically what happened. And then she wrote like about specific incidents and mistakes that

he's making in his book. So she like fully went up against him and and I think a lot of people really respect her for that because I think he has done this with a lot of artists over time. I think people understand that what she's doing is speaking truth to power in a real way. And I think that's why she's so supportive in the music industry, because people know she's a great singer and she speaks up.

Kelly Clarkson is an icon, and you know what, you know, I have ship talked to her in the past, and that's actually why I did this. You know what, I'm going to continue to shop talk her in the future because it's it's very she's it's very fun to make

fun of her. I sort of did on the last episode, did yeah, Well, I was saying that like as a sixteen year old, like, it's hard to hide you're gay when you're like my favorite singer is Kelly Clarkson, because people aren't going to be like, oh, he looks like Britney spears like he wants to like less hard, less easy to get away with that. When your favorite singer is Kelly Clarkson publicly at sixteen, she can get away

with that a little bit. One time, my best friend at the time said I just wish she showed more skin and like gay man, and me like shivered when that happened. I was like, I hate to me. Honestly, that reads more like something that gay man would say. Now today, currently eight of culture is gay and we dress up as them, yes, and treat everyone like garbage, Like every day is like straightboy Halloween. We're always dressing up. It is it is, Sam, You've written some new materials,

new songs, materials. I have six maybe seven new trash. Yes. Yes, I've worked with a couple of producers. So I'm so I'm so excited for the me. I'm really excited, and there's gonna be a lot of mesh. I think we're saying it's it's like a throwback to nineties culture. I really love like the photos and just I think it's great. I also think it's genius to have you spell out the words of the title. His body is like, couldn't wart it to spell the letters, that's amazing. He showed

me an early, rough raw photo of it. Did you get it? Because I did? Because you know what I said, I go, this is this is so cool? This is like was And I didn't even ask this is I didn't even say this is like? I said, are you referencing Rue Paul's Viva Glam campaign for mac and the nineties And the answer was yes, deeply. But that was that was Sisters Weekend's idea. Fully. They came up with the design and they shot the photos. And I saw you the day that the same day, No, no, the

day after you shot, because you still had silver pain on. Yeah. I painted my entire body of silver and it's there's still some in my ears. That's its nast You know, you might take care of that yourself. Sam is famously a stinker, which means he this is true. I was learning this would come up today because I don't come up on the first time, not come up. It did not come up Sam's stay the stinker, which means that he is um let's say, very sparing about just personal hygiene.

I would say is that he's a minimalist. There is a fear of products or a fear of conforming the hygiene. I think it's a little bit of both. Okay, okay, okay, because it's like one, it's my own, you know, special brand. People know what I'm coming and when did you start? Like where do you stop? I'm worried about the slippery slope aspect of taking care of myself. Well, your fragrance be called if you could just give everyone like what your scent is, like, what your vibe is, like, what's

the fragrance? How do you brand it? I feel like it would be called like like I think it's salty, salty. I think it's called stinker crust prep. Oh my god, honestly, that's the one, my personal Brandon crust prep. Because like if you saw be like he's clean, yeah, oh my god, that is privilege that is looking clean, but being crusty bitch. Mine would be called beachy, but you wouldn't know if it would be bitchy or literally beachy, like the Long Island that's fun. That's fun. You have to say it

like that. But when what's your sent mine would be called um thesaurus because there's something else you could get, Because that would be a little bit better. Yeah, if you're feeling because there's something else you can get, they'd be a little bit better. In a descriptory, more specific, also sort of off, sort of off the mark, like

that's not the one, and you keep coming back to me. Yeah, yeah, thesaurus now I want to talk about It could be a good dinosaur too, It could be a great dinosaurs thesaurus. Oh my god, I think I saw a thesaurus in Jurassic World three or two. Oh my god. Yes, that's like a popsicle stick joke for like a ten year old. The saurus emerges as a contender for title Crust. It's also in the race. Oh baby, you know what, let

me just let me just pull back a little. I I'm loving the vibe of the new space so much. It's very casual in a good way. Sorry, I know we've like already getting up on you on the anthony. That's fine, you know what. By all it means, literally, my haters make me stronger. Kisses to my critics like Okay, it's like black panther suit, you know, like wow exactly. But um, when I walked in, I was like gorgeous.

When Bone walked in, he was like stunning. And the first thing said when when you walked in with needs work, I'm a bit, I'm a famous bitch. Oh my god. That's why I look up to Adam ra Pond. This is what I think about. This is what I think about. Yes, he's a famous bitch. He calls himself a bit, but like he's like bit, like winky, like I'm not really I think deeply there's someone there. This is what I've been saying. That is someone who knows where he wants

to sit in the restaurant. Like he walks in, he says, we want to sit outside by the water. And if there's no water, you fucking dig a hole and put water in it. And you get a little like Adam Ripon wants to sit next to the water. I like,

do not see that. I see more like he's trying to be Like I think he's trying so hard to be like hashtag relatable gay and that like it's like he's doing like just enough bitchy to be like, but you don't think who he really is is like someone who wants He's probably like he would be like a monster to the help, but um, you know his whole thing in a fun, mainstream way. That's debatable because I feel I was like, you know, Adam, I'm approaching at him the same way I remember urging Anthony, which is

coming from a place of love and acceptance. But the moment that I had disengaged from from how I remember this moment remembers this moment? Now you don't I remember this. I when when sucking Adam did that press conference where he was like, I'm still getting used to being like America's sweetheart. I was like, fucking yeah. I thought he was unapologetic. I thought you were gonna like, I actually

like that far that's when I'm in. When I'm not in is like the part I thought you were gonna bring this up was they were like on the on the scale of this, Elmo, how excited are you when he goes Meryl Street. I didn't get that. That didn't read for me. That was the moment because I was like,

he was glitch. He was totally Glitchen glitch. To spit out because and then the world the reporter was like that doesn't really makes no, no, and then he goes and then like the reporters like okay, and then he goes if that makes sense, and then the reporters like, I don't think it does. Was that she was she I loved her, was like escaped. We need her as a guest. I mean, look, Adam's great, and he doesn't insane work out. He is representing bitches, not LGBT. LGBT

community is confused that he's representing them. Now he's representing bitches, okay, which is another oppressive minority. Absolutely, it's time we're here, Guy Brandam. Guy Branda has been chastising me over text, being like why are you on board with him? He's he's representing all of us. He wants to we haven't been seen in the past. He's he's showing everybody what it's like to be seen, blah blah blah, which I

sort of get. But then he sent me a screenshot first of all of like a Lewis Vertel tweet, and I was like, okay, what and then it was an Adam upon tweet. It was too like like you're sad, No, no no, no, it was fine. It was just like I was like what wait what am I know? It was just a moment of like wait what am I reading? Um? But it was like Adam quote tweeting someone who was sent who tweeted at him? Who even is Adam Rappon?

And then Adam Rapon quote tweeted that to say, I don't know who isn't And I'm like, that's also something that that doesn't make sense, like we thinking they might not be with it. He might not get it, he might not be he might be a little bit of an antony it deeply. Anthony has a great personality. He's fun, he gets it, he gets the joke. Fine, fine, fine, No one with a great personality. There's two strokes t shirts in that season eight episodes like how did we

drink that? They do? Wardrobe should have been like wait a minute, wait a minute, Antony, you have another one of this that you wore on Tuesday. You don't think wardrobe dressed him themselves. I don't know. Wow, use your thinking cap bo. You've been on sets, you famously as much as Anthony. You've been on sets. You bring your own ship, not always most of the time. Honey, No, honey, okay, the fit you, they fit me. They ever keep you, ever keep the clothes. No, I'm not to do with

my Sara dests like a sorry Sarah. I wish I I think about that. I thought about that. Does Sarah keep all the close from character? There's a legend that she she kept a lot of the clothes from Sex in the City, And I want to I want to get that aspiration where I'm like, oh my god, no one stunning. We love um. And that's a call back to our first episode, which was Sex in the City theme, which is the one we did. It's called Sex the City and Sex in the City, which is like a

semite is m I feel? Yes, it's close. Sam. How are you dealing with this? With this? This s a t C news Oh the falling drama. God, I mean it's I mean team s JP always. It's like clear that controls like a little. Have you seen that YouTube video of her like in her husband in their apartment? It see I might know that like disqualifies her from some like jobs in no way, no way. I love that video. See that videos. She is an artist. She's an artist, and people forget that like what she did

with that part, like kim control is incredible. Like that's the thing that sucks about the whole thing is you don't want it to get to a point where it's like someone takes sides and then it's like the other

one for good because people do that with women. So but but here's a take I have is she's grieving, you know what I mean, Like her brother fucking died, Like I think emotionally, she was dealing with the s JP like drama in the media, like they I think they both were thinking about it a lot, and then this fucking came out of nowhere and it's like, I don't want to talk about this anymore, so I'm gonna do something crazy like screenshot at that and posted it

was nuts. But also, but you understand where that's coming from. I think, course sympathy on both sides absolutely, I don't know, you know, everyone gets along. And I'm a bit for for starting this conversation and being like for you know, entertaining the idea of doing this conversation, because it is fun to be like it is like like like put the anthem the anthony thing. It's fun to like bitterally take a strong side at the end of the day, Like I have love for both of them because they

both like are fucking awesome. I've always say s JP underrated actress, very good, actress, very talented. I started divorce last week. I had to stop after like four ups because me and me and she got the like puts truly, we just like tensed up and like we just started bickering. I actually started watching it at the end of Henry and his relationship to and it may be very in my head, I was like, oh my god, because a lot of it, Yeah, it's like whoa, it's shit, this

is real. And you know, I wasn't really a Thomas Hayden Church fan. I've never I've never connected, but this like he plays it in such a specific way that he really does like you buy it. Like I don't know Thomas Hayden Church. He's got a style that's I think maybe in the wrong movie like you don't buy but like in this show, I'm really feeling it. The chemistry between them is believable. She's got some genuinely funny

communic moments. Even in the pilot, the first scene where she like flips him the bird as he's walking away. I'm like, whoa, yeah, so good. But there was the last scene that she has in the first season, Um oh, I guess I don't want to ruin it for you outside. I don't want to say, okay, it's good. She just has a great moment at the end when you're like Sarah Jessica part for life, for life Life, Sam, Yes, will you shoot a music video for one of the

tracks for a club comment? Because you gotta be visual. I mean, I know these days you have to be you want to keep up at um. You know, I'm not sure I would like to, but it requires so much work, and you know, in this industry, because you have to get a choreographer, you gotta get a choreographer. I mean, lights are like I was gonna say, big,

who has the money? Yeah, I mean it's insane. I remember like paying for like like we used to do that a lot, Like you pay like what was it like to fifty for a music video and like it looks shitty, but you're proud of it because it happened at all. Yeah, which is something to be proud of. But it's like like thinking about getting into that again. It's like so much so much because I haven't Yeah, I haven't had to think about that in a while because and which which is just me not not me

being like oh like I've moved on from that. It's just that like I've never you know, I just I just don't want to deal with that ever. And that's we did it a lot, right, How did you guys do so many VIDs? Well, there was several of us, so we all pitched in a little bit. But I totally disengaged, right, Like I wasn't that involved in the video production. I would say like, well you did what what you did so well for popular lett which is like contribute like visually, and you were also an amazing

performer in the group. Like I think everyone like had like different but like in terms of money, like we all through like and got something. I wasn't like, you know, I was engaged in the I wasn't like thinking about like you know, we're we're locations where ye like that is a nightmare. That's tough you have to have, like in order to be a producer, like Dave Mazzone has that Dave has, but not everyone has that instinct, which is like as a producer, it's sucking a lot of work.

It's so much uncomfortable. It's like being annoying to everyone. Yes, that's the job, and it's like I can't do that. I have to be loved, and especially like being comfortable asking for favors because you are every time. Yeah always, because if you actually got a location, you're paying so much money. Yeah yeah, yeah, there's got to be something that's like thrown in there because you looked at her it was free somehow. I mean, you know, like the location.

It was like your dad's offense. Oh my dad has like a building we could use. That's me. Finish your joke, um a girl sing. I even hate when people post on Facebook like looking for an office, and I'm like, don't like this is for seeing this? I know. I think also oftentimes people know exactly where to find those things and they just post them publicly so it doesn't know they're blogging them. But it's like, okay, oh I

don't know. Also who the am I to said, I don't know how it is, Well, you've been here, say it. I've been out here and I know people you know know where the locations are. You should start commenting that. I quit Facebook so this is about a week. We're at the week mark. How are you feeling. I'm feeling

pretty good. Do you have a goal time period that you're having for Yeah, I just want to like until I feel like I can go back to it and it won't be distracting to me because it what what I think was a problem was like it was in my life as this thing I did instead of work, Like I wasn't writing new stuff. I was just getting caught up in like things that don't matter, like arguing about whatever headline it happens to be that week or whatever,

like bullshit dramas happening instead of doing the work. It's just a distraction. So so far, so good. It's been good for me and that respect, I'm so impressed. But it's hard to not like, you know, I know, I feel like it's there. It's impossible. You're also not missing much. No, the quality has gone down. Its website. It's where people go when they have a bad feeling to share, Yeah, something to complain about. Yeah, it truly is not. Yeah, there's no like variable reward anymore to go back and

to be like, what's going to happen now? You know? It's also it's like, what am I gonna get out of it this time? When that's gone? I mean, And also there's the argument that it's like, oh sorry, that like the reality of the news and every thing isn't

like exciting and fun for you. That's also fun. I think Facebook is great to like engage with people, but when you have to make a personal choice for like your mental well being, like let people do that, like I'll engage in the way I want you on Twitter and Instagram. Oh my god, the people who are guilds you into like engaging with certain news stories like I don't know, you know how present that is very it's

very present, but I just it's it's there. There's there's such a weird problem with that that I haven't been able to verbalize. But anyway, Um, it's pleak, It's it's bullying. It's bullying and simple and we have you watched any of Top Model No, okay, really getting bad? Um, it's just a bad show. And it it dumps down, it's it doesn't respect it's audience, it talks down to its audience. It's just a bat show. But that's what made me

literally the word bullying for me triggered Top Model. The episode was like a out bullying and it was so dumb and it was so crazy because the last scene of the show is literally tired Banks telling a girl she's a bad person and that and she doesn't really deserve This girl isn't bullying anyone in the house. She doesn't have any friends because like her personality is a little tough to connect with, and she says things sometimes

they're like conceited, but she's not anything. She's being bullied and ostracized, and Tyra is like speech to her at the end is like, in order to win this competition, you have to be a good person on the outside and the inside. And I think you're a good person on inside, but that isn't showing and you need to work. And it goes on and on, and then girl just eventually goes okay, I understand. She's like, okay, I'm cheap,

thank you. It's and I was like, okay, I'm gonna let you go, Like and it's like, bitch, you just held this girl hostage and told her what a shitty person. You are a supermodel, you run this show, you're a mogul, you have everything this girl has very little. Let stand there and tell her that she's a bad person. That's breaking her, Like it doesn't matter her personality quirks at that point, like Tyra Banks is a bully, she is

not good. It needs to be called out. Let's talk about because Sam two seconds ago said bebe let's talk about dark grace, dar grace. I like, what's that other word? Uh um? Oh like I'm sorry? What you know? Anthony says it? If he? Okay, so and he's on record for something different important to right? Okay, Um, we we know, we sort of know. I sort of know where you stand. We all do. We're all in this. Yes, I mean, as is just killing markedly improved, markedly improved. How does

she do that? I don't think. I think. I think I think she is one of those queens who saw herself on TV and was like, oh wait I come off that way. Yeah. I think I think not all queens do that. She seems like a resilient person, Like I don't think it was easy on her when things were, you know, not good with her and Valentine. I think Valentina's fans probably came to destroy her, and I think you can respond to that in like one of two

ways say, I don't care. I have this opportunity to be fierce, like let's be fierce, or you can literally fade away forever because it's too hard. And I feel like she chose to like get very fierce and level her pussy up. And I love that. I love that, so I think it's really powerful. And that's so powerful. I think mostly everyone else is really boring. Yes, and like Angela is like fine, like she's gonna win, but I don't care, Like who don't care about Angela? Hallelu No,

I don't think hallelu is funny. I don't connect with people who don't think it's funny. Really, yeah, hallelu Really to me, it's like, what's funny about it? It's just a catch phrase. I think hollelu is so funny. I don't know. I love it. To me, it's like I'm not like a catchphrase queen either, Like I'm not like coming for the catchphrases, but I come in. This whole fucking podcast is a series of catchphrases. What are you talking about? Well, I'm just saying in my drag race contestants,

it's not necessary. Whereas some queens you could argue are mostly catchphrase, okay, like Jocelyn Fox is like want want and not too and I love that catch phrase. But it was a large part of her. It was so sure she should have won his congeniality she was, but she got married instead, which was so nice. And I'm so tired of Ben winning, like been so good every time, and I'm not like he shouldn't have won, but i am like, who cares, I'm so bored. Yeah, they do

something really interesting with Ben this episode. Oh yeah, because I have to tell you don't know this, but we've seen the episode. I love this about you guys. But also this is going to come out next week one. There will be another episode two. So this is all I have to reserve. We have to reserve comment on a lot of what you're saying. The thing, Ben, is that you can't really deny it, though, is the hardest part.

You can't deny the competence, and that you can't deny that it's well done or even that you enjoyed it, the comp that that it's well done. I'm more like annoyed that the queens aren't better other than Ben, Like I'm like, what, like, who did you want to be there? Who did I want to be there? Well, one wasn't William supposed to be there. I was sure, and I was like kind of excited because Willem really shakes things up.

I see, I don't like I wanted kim Che to come back, like that would have been so fun, and like, I think she's gotten even more confident. She was good on her season and want I wanted to win. And then like, I don't know, all these queens seem like queens queens. That's the first time I've heard that. I mean,

is that you're so nice. I think that they are philler queens because I think that if if you actually took the first ten seasons whatever, you would come back with a list that looked very close to the All Stars to cast. And I think that that says it all. I mean, like, if if they all were ineligible, we were, if we were doing All Stars right now, who will we pick? We'd pick Alaska, we would pick Detox, We'd

pick a list to Edwards. I think, all right, because they sort of right dried the well with All Stars to exactly, and so I think, no matter what, All Stars three is not going to be All Stars too, because literally, you know, fucking Alaska and Alyssa aren't there, so so who's the next exciting? Like, I guess Trixie, you know what I mean, like a CAMG. I would have loved to see leg. I don't know if I like can reveal secret Facebook group information, We'll try try it,

do it. So you said something about Tricksie that I felt like was very accurate. Come on, he said that she's only funny because Katya laughs so much after everything she says. I really disagree, really yeah, because I actually think that for me, the best part of UM that show Trixy and Katya is Trixie reacting to what Katya does.

I mean, yes, but then to have her be in this um you know, she's just funny, she's to put she's in this little feedback loophole where it's like I'll say anything and Katya will cackle for like a fucking minute and all and and she just has time to sit there and silence and me like, yeah, but I

don't know, I'm killing I trust Katya. They're like if she like, she thinks it's funny, because it's fun funny, and just watching Katia react to it, the way she does, Like I don't know, like to me, that's how i'd be reacting. That's how I react when you when you are turning it okay insane like wise, but I don't.

I mean, like with Katia, it's like you can it's she's she's her reactions are just so volatible and that like you don't know how strongly she will react on any given thing, and so she'll just be like it's the same. Like that was good. That was like just I'm like, all right, like Katia, come on, like but maybe that's her actual physical response. Is crazy that Bowen isn't reading Katia, because you know, Bowen has done crazy things when it comes to Katia, and I has like

ruined drag race. My god, I wasn't. I wasn't following. I was villainized that today I remember you, like begging for the community is respect again, I never stood. I've stood my ground, tunning. Yeah, it's crazy, is written apology gay, it's queer sports. And now people don't say, don't spoil the super Bowl results for me. Fuck you, it is not the same, and you deeply know it's not. I

deeply know it is absolutely the same. And that people should fucking clock in its appointment television, gather around your support, your local gay night life, and go to the bars and watch it in real time. Honey, you have privileged now you have you walk into this room privilege. Yeah, telling people to go to bars when you have the screeners. Get out of here. I'm saying, no, oh my god, no, no. Anytime, anytime you both came after me during the Sometimes Sam

and I get on the same side. We go. People were coming after me for being rich and for having a home theater. You the one percent and it's filthy. That was the best day of my entire life. I was so full of true joy. When you have to think about everything Bowen has, it's so disheartened. Just honey, up a day, bitch. My parents parents are immigrants. They worked every single scent and you know nothing of that struggle. I know everything. If you were born with the silver spoon, no, honey,

a dang mouth unbelievable, bitch. If they had stayed in China, I would not have been born as a second child. Honey, and I live every vilege honoring, honoring the sacrifice they made that has that has paid dividends for them. In return that they they've they've reaped everything that they've sacrificed. Honey, I can hear all the listeners clocking the privilege. Sorry, I just getting their pens out down the time when they heard it. Wasn't crazy. They were so loud. All

his coins, all sacra coins, just carries them around. Yeah, but no, it's cool to remember that you were rich. I did know that, but I had forgotten briefly. Okay, yeah, abely Sam very wealthy. I would say, Sam is pretty wealthy. Oh you've her hush, not simply not. I think he certainly has a nice one bedroom. He does, Oh it's a oh yes, it's a two bedroom. I live with my lover. I walked in and I said, these people do very well. It's a well kept apartner. These people

do very well. It has nothing to do with money. That's everything to do with their own taste and effort to maintain it. You know, we knew what we wanted and so we made the rights. Yeah beautiful. Yeah, living in New York is it's just it's a huge wow. You know, if you came over to my apartment, um, I don't know, no one's been there. I don't know how people are going to react. I live in Greenpoint now, but it's just one I moved as of about two months ago. No way, yes, but he's like super close

to the line. I'm very very close to Queens. Got it? But I was about to ask for the here right, Um but no, I love it, but like I'm curious to think because I don't necessarily know too much about style or like home to core, I could probably really identified, like, um, use a Bobby right now to like, I think it's nice. We could all use a Bobby, but me too, me most,

But I think it's kind of nice in there. But I'm sure once like you and Dave come over and study comes over, I'm gonna be told something is egregiously wrong. I won't do that. No, no, no no, and not in a bad way, in an objective way. I'm just sure I've set it up in some way that's like obviously not right when it's just a big housewarming party. Come on, is it just you? Except we're having some problems with living facilities, like what like constantly water dripping down from

my roof Rainforest Cafe. It's happened three times, you get one, Well, we worked it out with the problems were clear and they were fixed. But it was just like, this is happening a lot um because it's not good. I mean, you don't want water leaking down from the ceiling in your apartment. No, no, no, maybe from the shower when you turn it on, but other than that, water shouldn't be coming down. No, we agree about that. That really happens. That really happened, you know, but it does. It does.

It's really powerful and that's like, you know, it's honest, and that's like what's so important is friends being honest with you. If you can't be honest, Okay, let me ask you something then, queen, Okay, you are Jennifer Honeston's best friend right now, what do you tell her? I'm

so sorry you're going through. I'm sure this is really hard and you know you're going to find the one and like, definitely, like I don't think it's your fault, but maybe reflect not necessarily exactly, but definitely like before you jump in next time, make sure it's right. So get this. If Jennifer est is your best friend, and like literally think of yourself like her best friend in this world, like in this world you are her best friend. She comes to you and says, oh my god, this

is fucking crazy. Brad texted me and what let's just act out the scenario. What do you say? He said, I've been thinking about you. What do I do to Why I haven't responded? En? You can't do this? Oh my god, Jenn, text them back. No, Jen, I'd stop. You've made I want to say I love you. You

have built your feel you should do that. You've built your whole public persona like deliberately around this like shitty idea about that that this shitty obsession with like your love life and your personal God, you're not making any sense I think I needed. In fact, I'm gonna call him right now. Don't call that's too needy. Do you think that's too needy? Yeah? Okay, Yeah, I'll text text okay? Or should I email him? Should I have my agent

email him? I don't know. That's so cold? Yeah, what makes you think that he he's not going to treat the same way that he treated you in the past or that he treated Angelina. You know, Um, I have a I have a really good feeling. Yeah. Yeah, I just got a lot of money from Apple to do my show. Wow, congrats. Oh yeah, I didn't know you got an Apple show. That's very really good and really confident because I've asked for what I wanted. But what

was your contract? Like sucking ten millions? That crazy? Crazy? Now I'm feeling really confident, So I think I should text Brad that I love him and want to get back together. I think we should announce it right now. No, here's what you do. You have your agent, email his agent, get him cast on your Apple show. Then he'll fall in love with you naturally Brad style. Oh my god, Yes, Should I wear a wig so I can pretend it's not Maybe you could tell them it's like, I don't

know who's who has brown the hair. I honestly don't know anyone. I don't know any of them. All my friends are I would, but you guys are are Chelsea Handler and Chelsea Handler, so you guys are both blond. We don't know anyone who's brown hair or brown you know what? As Chelsea Handler, I will one day start like a mediocre Netflix documentary series where I surround myself with people of color just as as props and see great and we learned a lot. That's fun I would

I want the transcript for that. I would tell it to John straight. I'd be like, no, John, No, it's crazy people are even thinking about I think that showed our difference really well, because like we've gained upon Matt so much today, and it's like this like show that we don't follow each other blindly. That's what I'm saying. It's when you guys are not on the same page. It's very power. But here's the thing. What's the third

iteration of this? Where Okay, So because the other two are Matt and I getting up on Sam or Sam and I getting up on a Mat No, no, no, no no, no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. The two iterations are Matt and Sam getting up on me and me and Sam getting up on Matt. But me and Matt I've never gained up on Sam because it's not respectful. Because he's a guest. Then we should be nice. Now we can get up on him. About the stinker part, Yeah, it's really rancid. Yeah,

I mean it's nast especially today was so hot. But here's the spring, by the way, here's what you've ruined. Like I was with you, I saw you over the weekend and then I came and then like I walked over to you and I was like, damn it, Sam, you stinker and you go and you and you were like yeah, And then I was like, I guess I have to put up with that, Like this is just normal now, he's normalized dead. I mean, is it actively annoying? No, it's because cute. And I think it smells really good

in here right now. See there we go my breath and the mic smell is amazing, Ran, what is this to me? Like disgusting? But the sound sniffing into the mic just now like really hurt that the viewers are probably like, oh, and they're watching the ers and they're watching podcasts are a visual media. Can I say one thing? Yes,

I'm wearing a mac Weldon shirt. Oh sponsor. I just wanted to throw it out to my sponsor arena, because you know, you can go on mac weldon dot com and use promo code Lost Cultures Test to get twenty percent off. Yeah, they're not actually not even making me say that, really wearing it, that's nuts. I'm wearing mack weldon socks right now. You are my god. Do you know you can go to mac weldon dot com. Forward, slash lost Culture rests and use the promo code lost

Culture rests and get off. Didn't know that? Wow? Now you know live ads I love? Yeah? Well, um, we wanted you to be a part of it. That was really cool. A peek behind the curtain. Yeah yeah, yeah, wow. I mean we're good at what we do that. Do you listen to this podcast or now? Do you say if I want to, I scroll, I see who the guest is and I feel out in that moment? Do I give it a list? Do I not? And what's an example of someone that that you saw on our

show that you said click click click, bitch. I clicked the Janine garoffalo one feel Um. So the craziest part was when you were like, it's noon on this date and you're listening and it was literally noon on this day. Actually I was going to take a screenshot and I was like, who cares? Right? So you know what you told us? Now? So why would you need? Like I thought, I was like, this is gonna be so fun. I'm

gonna like text Matt you need, I need. That would have been That would have been the love because everyone while I'll shoot a text when I'm listening because it's it feels very personal. Wow. Yes, and you get a direct line and I get a direct line, and that's so to the heart, straight to the heart. Yeah, I mean, and I wish I had a direct line, more people, more things. I would tell Trixie you're being boring. Oh, and she'd be like, thank you, that's honest, that's friendship,

you know what. I stay tuned, stay tuned. That's all I want to say about Drag Race and Trixie State, especially not now it's already gonna have come out spoiling for me. I look, no, it wasn't ulsaid was stay tuned for Trixie. Something will happen with tricks It's not a spoiler that something happens with Tricksie and drag Wait. Wait, I have one question. Do you guys feel like are you like stressed out by the fact that there's going to be, like immediately another season and it's going to

be so much No, I'm excited about it. I want that space because otherwise I just we're gonna there's gonna be some element of fatigue there. It's gonna feel so different. I know it. Well, I mean, yes, I think it will. I think because like it's the tenth season and v H one knows what a hit it has. And I think this season nine premiere was big girl, like Gaga was on it, you know what I mean, Like it'll

be exciting. And also the New Queens, if what I'm hearing the tea that I'm hearing is true, Like there's some really good fucking queens on there, and I'm excited about watching them. And I think like the each one knows what a geman has and they're going to turn it out. Okay, okay. Also, I don't get fatigue over

drag Race. I wanted to always be on I mean, like ideally same Like I'd like to think that I would always want drag Race, but it is, it feels like sometimes there's a lot of mental up keep to be done. I don't know, you know, it just feels like you have to constantly pars it out and like talk about it. I don't know, we literally, we literally are talking about it every week, Like maybe that's why. Maybe it's just because there's like an output every week

related to that. It's also similar to like when like straight people are talking about sports all the time and you're like, when was the last time you like asked you how you were doing, and I'd feel like gay people now get that where it's like all conversations are about drag race. We never talked about real things anymore. You have to read on Bowen Yang that is who butt drag race up. And you know what, it's true. It's he's very privileged. All that privilege, it's gone right

to his head. He's gone blind with privilege. Where You're right, Sam? Fine? How are you? Oh my god? Incredible? So good? Yeah? What are you excited about? The show? Who's opening? So sheer? Lovely girl, stunning, stunning, stunning, beautiful, talented, funny, just a kind because the most important is kind. Well, you know there are some more important things. Okay, Um, you know Max Witter, Max Twitter, it's going to be their sister's

weekend showing a NEWVID that's exciting artists, artists. Heard of it, Matt, Yeah, I have, I've heard of it, heard of it? Wait? Did did did we talk about this year about your little history and at you the air? Now? Yes we did. How is the touch? We touched on it? We touched on it. Give your side of this story, Give her side of the story. How difficult was she to work with? So not difficult? It was crazy that you had a real opportunity there, I know. But you know honesty well.

And there's there's this really fun book called Truth in Comedy. You should check it out. I'm gonna check it out. I'm gonna check specifically because I know how much you loved comedy. Can I say something, I've never read it. Proudly, really, I've never read it. I'm so proud of you. I wish I were you right now. You have read comedy.

When I was in college, it was like, like you actually had to read this, like we So I went to college and I was the first year once the year was a fourth year, and like she was a fourth year along with this other guy who I won't name, don't name. I was just like very strict and he was like, you guys actually really need to read this book.

And he was very much like like I. We were doing musical improve and as I've stated, I cannot sing, and so they were like, so he was like, which what do you feel more comfortable with, like harmony or the melody melody? And I was like melody and he's like, okay, you're doing harmony, and it was like chill, twist yeah, and it was just like Okay, I don't know how

to sing, but here goes. And then it was like so he was being really strict and Sayshire was extremely nice to me and was very like the first person. I was like, oh, I'm comfortable around you. Thank you. That's actually huge. Nice to you. How like she was kind to you, or she took you in a room and taught you singing. She was kind to me. She couldn't just teach me singing right then and there, weekend, I doubt it. Would you like to learn singing right now?

Hit me? Come on natural pet? Oh no, that's a third, the third and then the most important one. You know how to sing? You match the tone? Shut up sing? Drummer singer we taught could be a drummer singer like insert famous drummer singer here. I shouldn't know Dave, who could forget? Who could forget? His favorite band? The Food Fighter. That was really good. I'm a really fantastic talent, fantasticque

you know who I hope never fucking comes back. Kings of mother fucking Oh my god, your feet were planted. You had such hate in your heart. You don't like them, you somebody, oh my god, they were any where. It's like people are like, oh, actually they're really like actually good and that like out okay, which is how I felt about Mumford. Sorry, yeah, but no, but people were like, but people literally said that thing, and we used to

sit down and listen to this. I'm like, this is bullshit. Immediately, I'm proud of this is my truth. And comedy was that I didn't like Mumford and they were made for me and I could see it was like, no, that'll take the bait. It's like like you should have rejected Anthony, like he's clearly made for you, but you're taking the bait. Yeah, And that's how I guess how I choose to live my life. Like some of us, like we walk into the world and we say I'm going to experience the world,

and other of us. Others of us they hide in the dark, away from their interests, in away from from what's going to give them joy. And I just hope that you can welcome to the light, honey, And I hope that you get a life coach. That was bitch, you need a life coach, and bitch you need a life coach. Both need coaches, and I wish you the best and as always, kisses to my critics. Yea to

all my critics. Matt's like over here fucking being like I don't like kids me this, and then he like spews his fucking critics as always, from something like that would be the fun Real House Lives track for you. Yes, kisses to my critics. You only made me stronger and God bless. Although I did also have one when we were Roulette, which was don't bite the hand. You are a catchphrase, queen, I guess so then Matt at one point for about a week long period, we were in Charlottesville, Charleston,

one of those Charleston, probably Charleston. That's why I went to college. Yes, Charleston, Yes, Charlottesville. As v I I'm Charleston and Matt, he was telling you where you went. Sorry, I know that's catchphrase in Charleston was just for the week was don't bite the hand, don't fight. No no, no, no no, no no no, I'm sorry, that's what you just said. It was keep him second guessing, second guessing.

You always have to keep him second guessing. He was suck guessing that one's coming back, coming back, keep him second guessing. Wait, that is peak idiot. That's so so stupid, it's so so funny. I think Sam has catchphrases too, absolutely, I guess I don't think so. Honey, you're se whole

podcast is catching. You're right, we're garbage and trash. Sam's catchphrases are more like little one word monosyllabic things like perf oh yeah, a lot I say, like deaf stunning, Yeah, I say stunning, Yeah, I do say stunning, you do. I think it's not like a full on catch phrase, but just like the general gasp, like the yeah, oh yeah, that's that's that's trademarks slam. Yeah, no, it's not. Everyone does that. Wow awesome. Um, that was a thank you?

Anything else you want to talk about for a club comic? I just want to talk about it. I'm so excited. Oh she's Um. Is there a narrative throat? There is a narrative thread. It's based heavily off of both Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour documentary and Katy Perry's Part of Me documentary. I oh, because we were making fun of that documentary, weren't we? In the promo bed it's it's a through line. Oh my god, I can't wait. She was gonna be so fun. It's gonna be so fun.

I'm not gonna spoil anything, but there's a fun little reference to the beginning of the Monster Ball doc um where Lady Gaga's in her dressing room. But it's so fun, you know what? You know what moment came back to me, and that first the first of all, there's amazing moments in the Monster Ball doc but there's one where in the middle of Just Dance, she um turns to the audience and goes, did you guys come here to party tonight?

I'm gonna kick yours and everyone goes crazy and I'm watching and I'm like, oh, I'm gonna kick your ass New York or insert city. And then the part of course during um Love Game where they play the Marylyn Manson remix and then she goes, you know what I'm talking about? She goes, Um, I don't know if you've heard that I've got a pretty tremendous dick. So come on, oh no, no, she goes, um, Yeah, I've got a pretty tremendous dick. And I heard that they've got some

pretty tremendous dicks too, here in New York City. On here in Brussels, the best run. She goes, um, alright, Belfast, but here they've got some pretty big cock. Here in northern Irelen. She goes, welcome to the monster Ball, Now dancing motherfucker's and then it's this huge Yeah, that's how you do. That's really fun. That was peak Gaga for me. That concert is so weird because like she doesn't have that many hits yet and she's still like doing giant

fucking tours. You're seeing her do like the B sides. It's so happy. No, in the beginning where she goes on when she does like glittering grease and she like beautiful and dirty rich, Yes, like you know what should have been like one of the big hits, but is sort of a B side if you think about it. But yeah, that's like one of the real fans put on the it's not a B side, but everyone else it's a Are you guys familiar with the hidden track from the Fame, which is Disco Heaven? I wasn't a

fan early on her best You must listen. You don't know how do you where is it hidden? No, one loves the bonus tracks. It's on Spotify. It's not gonna be It's not gonna be on the actual album when you tap into the album. But you actually just searched the Lady Gaga disco ha it in little pop up Spotify? No Apple Music, don't, man, you don't have any streament. It'll be on Apple Music to search Leady Gaga Disco,

Haven't it is? So and school and life change Bones? Okay, all right, um, I wonder what the next life changing song will be? I had I had a like I used to pirate all my music and I like downloaded Born this Way and it like had multiple tracks missing from it, and it was the only version of Born this Way I had forever. Then which tracks did you miss? Like? I had never heard Black Jesus. Oh, that's such a good that one either. Maybe you have the same bootlegs.

Maybe it was it was a bonus truck on the on the deluxe edition. Oh so it is a bonus tracks, so I wasn't. The other ones were the other ones? I don't remember the other ones a fad but he owns the vinals about whatever. I don't know how you Reckon Tall that unbelievable about the brand. It's about when you welcome to the apartment saying, these people do very well when they have Vinyl see her live with me? You know me, I'm currently UMAs hell, But we're going

to go see her in Vega. Were to Vegas, Vegas? That I want to see them all in Vegas. Like, I can't believe Mariah, Like she's still doing stuff. No was there, like and I didn't go see her. It's weird. The Brittany Vegas show looked so fun that I think it's over? Is it? Oh? I didn't know that. I mean it's ending very soon. Well I would, I would. I would shell out the money to go watch Christina Aguilera show in Vegas. Is she doing one? No, But I'm just saying that's one that I would go to.

She to me is just like a general B side person. Yeah, so your eternal A side and like Christina is just the B side of that a little bit. I understand feeling like that. I just think Christina, there's so much good Christina stuff that we don't even talk about. There is like Stripped has so much good stuff. Even her last album Lotus or whatever, there's some good tracks on there, and people just didn't even want to get well, She's I don't know, Christine regular is a part of me,

I think. But I think Gaga is this anomaly for a Vegas act because I feel like it's weird. It starts a different era about when you go to Vegas, you know what I mean, Like, no one this big currently or maybe she I don't know what are her record sales, like platinum, platinum, but like a year after it came out, and that's right. So I'm saying like, maybe she's not like as financially comfortable as we thought. Who knows she's financially comfortable. She's a huge pop star,

but maybe that's just not where the money is anymore. Sure, maybe she wants to be doing shows and shows and shows and movies, but she shouldn't. She's in so much pain. But I don't think she thinks of herself. I think she thinks of pushing on and like this is her second tour, she's canceled. She's crazy, she's ambitious to a fault. I think I worry about her. Yeah, oh yeah, dang, she's gone. She can't go forever like this, No no, No, there's going to have to be some sort of physical

um change. I think that, like maybe that's even part of the reason why we see her dipping her toe into acting and trying to do movies or songwright maybe because that's where she's headed, like in a sort of like I don't know if Bette Midler is the right thing to say, but like some sort of like more acting direct direct, Yeah, sure, sure, like shared it for a second, Yeah, yeah, to stating that maybe I the tea that I heard is that A Star is Born

is good? When does that come out? Like soon? Like this is supposed to come out in May, then it was October and then it got pushed again to maybe September or something. But it's it's like it was pushed from being a summer movie to being more of an Oscar movie because apparently people were very impressed with like Bradley Cooper's work in it, and he directed it, and they said that Gaga is like good enough to get attention.

But the tea that I heard said that he is like the thing you walk away from being wow, he was amazing, which is kind of crazy. And also he directed it, and I heard the movie is good, and I heard that she's also good in it, but that he's like the story of it is what is the tea that I heard? I was lucky rooting for him during Silver Linings Playbook. During that whole Oscar season, I forgot who was who he was up against, but look he was, like, yeah, he was great. I love Bradley Cooper.

I think he's a great actor. He's one where I'm like, like, if someone says like, do you like Bradley Cooper, my first response is no, And then I'll think on it and be like, yes, yeah, I'll be like he was in Americans, like what's really did dislike? You know what I mean? He seems like a big guy, and yeah, his instinct seems to be good. I didn't the first time I saw Silverlings Plinty, Silver Linings Playbook, I really didn't like it. And then the second time I was

like weeping, crying loved it. So I loved it. I think Jepher Lawrence is kind of bullshit, and I think she's great. I loved her. It like made me love her like you don't love like the front runner, and I respect that, like I I root for the underdog to a lot. But like, I think what colored everyone's perception of that Oscar season in that movie is like everyone was like, she's amazing, you love it, and you're like, wait, no,

I haven't made up my mind. It's like with them A Stone and La Land and I was like, you love it the awards, it will win and you're like wait, hold on, yes, And I think the instinct to not root for that is a good one. Think you have to break out of the matrix. But also one of my do your friends one's told me that you just have to go through life and experience it. Um, I think it's time to with that lesson learned, it's time to move on to I don't think so, honey. And

I don't think so honey, as you're well aware of it. Oh, don't come from as you're well aware. Is your is your moment to take a minute to do really whatever you want to do. And Sam proves that you can do whatever you want to do. How you've come for us, You've come for Kelly, You've you've really tried to ruin my life. But this is remember the Sam's first episode was the day that Instagram stories came out, and you

didn't mention it. I was doing a service to you guys by like you know, you have to criticize what you love so that it gets to where it should be. I think Sam has lefted us up absolutely. Okay, we're talking me to go first. I would love for you to go first. Okay, this is Matt Rodgers is I don't think so honey, and his time starts now. I don't think so honey. Critics personally, my critics, I blow him kisses, but not everyone does. Hey, critics, why don't

you try enjoying something. Sam Taggart, you can be a little bit of a critic sometimes when you're doing your I don't think so honey. You will say I don't think so honey, Matt and Bowen for whatever goddamn reason. Well, I won't stand for it. Sam Tagget is a critic and a hater, and he makes me stronger. When he came out and criticized Kelly Clarkson for all sorts of dummy, dum dum dumb reasons, I said, well, you're a critic, and I sipped my whatever I was drinking at that moment.

Let's call it te I continue on critics. Yes, I'm also talking about you in the world of film and television. I don't think so, honey, because two percent of people said that Black Panther was not good at only as a ninety percent of on Tomatoes, those two percent of critics, I don't think so honey, that was universally great film. If you're a critic, check yourself. And if you have

a lot of privilege like and Yang, check yourself. You are a critic of Amastona Jennifer Lawrence, check yourself to privilege. But okay, that was very scattered, like almost a tornado of I don't think so, honey, where you didn't know, um, what was coming at you from what direction? Yeah, I was like pointless. You had you you had a three pronged approach. You did Sam, which you spent a lot of time on, and then Black Panther, which you spent

a little less time than me, which you barely squeeze. Well, think about how they all attached to the umbrella of critics and then judge, Okay, um, I feel like I'm gonna hear about this. I don't think so honey. People are going to be like, this wasn't a very good one. The phone time, myself um wow, um okay, you could technically say that Matt came for us. Yeah, I mean,

like technically. I just looked down at my phone and I had a text from Michael Hartney, who's seeing the sneak peek of Frozen on Broadway tonight, and he said, Broadway Let It Go is the gag of the fucking century. I just know that that's true. Alright, listeners, I have one minute on the clock for Bowen Yanks. I don't think so, honey, and his time starts now. I don't think so, honey. People who are welcoming Paris Hilton back

into the fucking mainstream zeitgeist bullshit. Kem Petres, this great new German pop star has like like has her like worshiping in an altar of Paris Hilton and her music video, and everyone's like gagged for all the gays, like Boe, Do you see the new Competest video where like Paris Hilton makes a little cameo at the end, and like, yeah, I didn't. It's fucking bullshit because Paris Hilton voted for Donald fucking Trump. Important And I was talking to Dave

Zoni about this. Davi is sort of like Davis taking this very reason sid He He goes, oh, well, you know, we can't expect her to know better, and I go, yes, we can't. Can she went to fucking Sidley and Friends or I don't know that him? Oh no, I'm not gonna read date what I'm saying reading the the culture that is so eager to second Paris Hilton, who actually fucking sucks and it's a monster and voted for the worst fucking president in the history of this country, as

agreed upon two political scientists. So, Paris Hilton, I don't think so, honey, you you're a piece of ship. And that's one minute. Wow, very good. That was that. And that was a two pronged because it was Paris Hilton culture, and it was the culture that allows Paris Hilton and they do connect. And that's what made that think. I had no idea she was a Trump supporter. Yeah, and to proudly admitted to that. And the answer was very like,

I just think he'd be good for jobs. Like it was very just like, I'm going to say this stupid fucking thing. Yeah, okay, okay, you ready, I think so who knows what this will be? I never know what this tramp. I said I didn't want any more no good tramps on this episode, on on this podcast after the any down the episode. Okay, listen to that one no good pregnant tramp. Okay, this is I don't think so honey. This time starts new. Um, I don't think

so honey. People that make me feel bad for enjoying the warm weather in the middle of winter, Like, Okay, I get it. Global warming is real and it's going to destroy us all. But like and I'm not saying like it's a good thing, but like, at least let me have fun for one day. It's like every day is so hard with this like social political climate, and like, can I just enjoy this sunshine for a second. It's

like we all need to stop fighting. Okay, we need to stop fighting, and we need to stop criticizing and we need to just embrace that. Yeah it's hot, sister speak on Like yes, queen, and like, just like if I have to suffer through the world like stopping and like they're not being enough food and like not enough water, that let me have this one day in like and like, sisters, queen, Queen, I love us and I love our summer bodies that came a little early, never better. I think the three

of us will have summer bodies. I think we did a hundred forty crunches today, many too many. They said you have to do a thousand or it won't show up. That's what they say. In one sitting. Who can count to a thousand asleep? I certainly couldn't count any higher than I went, so I had to stop. Oh my god, I just I just came from sulcill did look at us turning versus Madonna theme Dry Top by Drew B. James, friend of the pod. He was so good, so good. He made us new stretches at the end to Madonna

singing a vita. What a bit. I loved her. I loved him doing that anyway, Sam, thank you so much for doing that. That was true. That was a true one. It was you know, And I was like, do I do I go from a like that is what everyone expects you. And I thought, you know, this is a building here, this is a building here, it is let's focus on me building up and not tearing down. Yes, this is that people step forward and say I'm here. Now, I'm here, and I'm building. I'm a victim. I'm oppressed.

I like Anthony Parowski. I'm a victim. I'm here. That's my minority is white gay who likes Anthony Parowski. That counts that. Definitely, kind of definitely. Absolutely. I walked into a space and I look around and I said, no one here gets it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That makes me in my already that every religion in the world has has some discrimination against white guys who like Anthony Parowski. Every religion. It's in every text, it's in every ancient text.

It's under the in the Bible it says thou shalt not eat seafood. It's under that one. Yes, yes, absolutely absolutely. Club Comic seventh, thank you. So this was a perfect episode. This is a perfect episode and a perfect first episode in the new space. Thank you for being here. Thank
