Episode description

LLN (10/29/20) – A proposal now on the table would simply ensure longstanding broker transparency regulations are enforced. That’s what OOIDA President Todd Spencer told an FMCSA listening session earlier this week. Also, we’ll tell you more about a Labor Department attempt to clarify who is an employee or contractor. Washington state’s Supreme Court has ruled on a controversial fee there, while Pennsylvania continues toward revising its “steer clear” law. And in addition to various organizations and companies, a number of individual truckers and brokers spoke at the FMCSA listening session on transparency. We’ll serve up some insight into what they told the agency.
