Committee backs insurance increase

LLN (6/18/20) – What had been a very promising highway bill has taken a dark turn for truckers with the approval of an insurance amendment that could cost them big money. Also, the FMCSA has extended a waiver allowing truckers with expiring CDLs to keep driving during the pandemic. And a Tennessee effort would allow police to use surveillance cameras on interstate highways, while a new law allows speed cameras in Virginia’s work zones.
