Episode description

Originally known as the Great Destroyer, Phylloxera has quite literally plagued the world of wine sine the 1860's. This aphid is perfectly designed to feed off of, and eventually kill, the grape vines we use for wine production in many parts of the world. But what actually is Phylloxera, and why is it such a concern for wine? In this episode, we will be diving into these questions to help explain why exactly this pest is so feared.
