Episode description

This episode we spoke to Yoni Ashar, a Graduate Student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder. Yoni's work looks at using brain measurement (especially fMRI) to better understand how placebo treatments for depression work and to better understand how factors of the patient-provider relationship can lead to healing. In our conversation we spoke about another of his research interests in chronic pain and whether it can be learnt. Our chat also touched upon compassion and Yoni's own journey to where he is now.To find more about Yoni:Twitter- @YoniAshar Website-https://www.colorado.edu/clinicalpsychology/yoni-ashar
