Episode description

Kyle Meredith caught up with Sam Jaeger to talk about his standout year, balancing roles in Blumhouse’s Wolf Man and the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. Listen now.

Known for his versatility across comedy (ParenthoodTake Me Home) and intense drama (The Handmaid’s Tale), Jaeger said he’s always focused on finding the humanity in his roles. In Wolf Man, he plays a man grappling with isolation and transformation, themes he noted were inspired by the pandemic. “It’s really a story about a family trying to stay connected,” Jaeger explained. “[Screenwriter and director] Leigh Whannell wrote this during quarantine, and you can feel the weight of that experience."

Jaeger also touched on wrapping The Handmaid’s Tale, which he praised for tackling heavy, relevant themes. While fans may crave resolution, Jaeger assured viewers the finale will stay true to Margaret Atwood’s cautionary tale, resisting the temptation of a neatly tied-up ending. “This isn’t a ‘happily ever after’ kind of story,” he emphasized.
