Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome in his time now for our community connection live in studio today, we're talking to our friends from the Washington County Free Fair. We have Rebecca Moses and Kevin White with us. How you doing, folks, for great things? Well, it's it's like the day before, the day before, Rebecca, you're about to bust here. We've got the Free Fair coming up this week and it's a big deal. It is. We're gonna have a good year.

I can feel it in my bones. Yes you are. Now, Kevin, you've been on and off the board since the eighties, so you've seen you've seen this thing kind of take a little metamorphosis here and by the last couple of times grows. Sometimes it's not as big, bit, it's always good. It's always gonna be a lot of fun. Now. We've also got a lot of different activities coming up. What's what's coming up tomorrow? Tomorrow is the day that all of the indoor entries need to be turned

in. The time to do that will be from noon to seven pm. Oh, okay, noon to seven pm. So you got to get him in there too, and then we've got it We've got a little party. Kevin got a kickoff party on Wednesday. We will have our outdoor movie at six o'clock. We also have Hamburgers by RCB Bank and let's see. Oh our movie will be Web and that's the two thousand and six version of Charlotte's

Web. So it's going to be on the lawn and on the side of the fair building is so bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. All right, good and snacks and he said to Hamburger is going to be available. Yes, I hope. We're hoping to have some other snack options there. Well, if all goes well, that's very good. Now this is a cool kickoff party. Now, well, we've got another attraction this year, actually is an expanded attraction. It's called the Children's Barnyard and

Kitty Corral. It is so the Children's barn Yard has been part of the fair for years and years and it's one of the main draws it because it does cater to the to the younger kids, but not but everyone enjoys it. This year it has been revamped and reworked and expanded and so now there's a whole play area just west of the children's barn yard. It's called the Kitty Corral and there are tons of things for kids to come in there and

do. So most of them are educational agg related games, but there's there's just a lot to do. I took a peek out it yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed. So this is pretty well revamped is well. Also Southwest Dairy will have their traveling traders, so there will be cow milking demonstrations by Southwest Dairy on Thursday and Friday. Nice good right in there next to the

kitty Krawl. You know, the kids are always kind of whatever they see that to go, is that really where the yeah you want to squeak? No, how do and some do? Some are ready to go up there and and milk, and others are like, well just watch. But they just when it gets right down to nature where your food toys has just come

from, they get a little bit wow. Right used to people were maybe one generation from the farm, and now it's two or three generations, so they don't have that connection with a farm or this is a great way to reconnect. This is how to do it right here. Plus we've got the livestock exhibits. Tell us a little bit of livestock comes in on Wednesday. The first show is on Thursday. Our dog and pet show is Thursday. That's always a big and a fund one. Let's see. Sutton Aviation will

be there on Thursday from eleven to four. Are they doing things with hogs or eat? I really don't know what they're bringing, but it's going to be some kind of birds of prey a demonstration and so I had they're gonna have them fly in and doing some demonstrations. The research people they are great, they said, the fella and sometimes a young lady out to the schools, so maybe you'll get both. We got a cool that would be and

OSU the Master Gardeners will have their Ossue Insect Adventure inside. We're getting we're getting bugs all from creepy crawley little things that it was. They did it last year and it was kind of a hit, so they are going to return it. On Friday is mainly when the animal shows are and Saturday the dairy, cow and goats will be on Friday. The sheep, goats, swine and cattle are gonna be Saturday starting at nine am. Okay, that'd

be big. Now, I understand that a lot of groups kind of vibe for a position as to who's going to serve lunch and dinner out there at the fair They do. We gotta run down here, I do. This is a big opportunity for a lot of our local organizations to do some fundraising. And so we always have meals in the north room of the fairground for lunch and dinner. And I'm going to flip over to our schedule. Thursday, we'll be Copan Aggies. It'll be chicken fried steak. Lunch is from

eleven to one thirty. Supper is from five to eight o'clock. Oh good, yes, And while that supper is happening is when the cattle women are going to do their pie and basket auction. And that's a big deal. That is a huge deal. We've got one of the cattle women right next door. She's up one of our neighbors here, Lana, And that's a that's a big to do. It is a big to do and a fun to do. We've got the next night, okay, Friday is the four

eh Parent Volunteer Association. So that all the proceeds go back to our Washington County four. Each group, their lunch will be chicken noodles from eleven to one thirty and supper is going to be from five to eight and they're gonna be serving meat loaf with all the fixings. What do we have on Saturday Saturday is Barnetal Indian Women's Club with Indian tacos and fried bread. So eleven

to three, come get your Indian taco. And they use that money too for like scholarships, so they're always working, always come back and for the community. Yeah, we have something on Saturday nights pretty special as well. We do the Fairboard's going to have a barbecue identic. This is the first ever and so we just wanted to extend our fair a little bit longer and

give the community a chance to come out and support the Free Fair. So it'll be a barbecue dinner and Kevin, I think you would we need to bring an extra bib baby, some towelet's you know, I'll probably be serving so oh yeah, I yes, come hungry and yes, this is really amazing. Where you got to take a quick break and we're gonna tell you a little bit more about the Washington County Free Fair that all starts tomorrow.

After these words from tall Grass Motors and Arnold Moore Knee Camp Funerals, is it time to start thinking about a nucarn But the thought of dealing with the large dealerships is just too intimidating, too confusing.
