Your comments, Oh, I'm thrilled. I think the American people are seeing a taste that Mike Johnson is a person of an impeccable character. He's just got a resume and a
reputation that's beloved. And what happened with so many people people getting around him so quickly in that last twenty four hours to come it was it wasn't contrived, it was it was organic, and people were looking around and said, why not Mike Johnson? Who could be against Mike Johnson? Because he's so well respected, He's got a deep rudder of faith. He's a constitutional attorney, he works with the Alliance of Sense Fund on religious liberty principles. He
understands first principles, founding principles. He's got a good conservative record. So you know, there's one often isn't around McDonald Going now, when it gets back to the economy here, I know that we have a twelve appropriation bills we've got to get rolling through and but what happens in the meantime, he's got to kind of get everything set up and ready to go. But I hear he's a pretty good task master. Yeah, look he's doing a quick
study. I'm sure. I mean, Comngress is still moving forward. We held it hearing yesterday in regards to what we need to be concerned about the United States specific to Iran, and most people, you know understand this massive tragedy of you know, twenty fifteen hundred is lately losing their lives, but we had thirty two Americans that lost their lives, you know. There in Israel, we had eleven Americans that are missing among the two hundred that have
been taken captive. And so the part of the whole Man Security Committee, what we're trying to do is make sure that the we're sounding the along of this administration. They've already called him theircrats to prole somebody did a mass parole
into the United States. And with Gaza strip, you have you have a Washington Institute cole that shows you within that area does a strip, fifty seven percent of them have a favorable opinion of I'm as so, homp, can you imagine what would happen if we start bringing those people in the United States with the same betting. I will say this lack of that, and that
happened that under Afghanistan ripping g reallocation under parole. Even the Investigator General when that was occurring, was saying, this administration of my administration wasn't doing a thorough dub of velion. They didn't really know who we were bringing in the United States. So I've signed onto a letter pushing back on this administration directly to the President. Had several colleagues that joined me on that and said, we can't do this. And let me pause and say this. We had
a lady in our hearing yesterday who's an Iranian American. She fled came over here a few years ago, several years ago. She's a journalist and I ran began to speak against the regimes. And there's already been two direct threats from her life that occurred in the United States. That guy shows up on her doork steps with an AK forty seven chary killer. They tried to abduct her out of Brooklyn and send her and put her on a ship to get
her back to Iran. She had a fellow colleague that they were able to do that to in France and and Uh and execute him in Iran. And we know that you had a plot against George W. Bush that was discovered because of somebody trying to coming across the southern border. The FBI uncovered a plot to kill President George W. Bush. And then they're specific to Iran.
There was in the last couple of years an uncovering of a plot to take out Bolton and Mike Pompeio, and that's specific to the Iran Revolutionary Guard. So we have to be on heightened alert because when hamas says in the Islamic world is calling for the end of Israel and calling them little Satan, calling us great Satan, we have got to be on our high horse and and be watchmen on the wall because they're I mean to infiltrate in the United
States and do us harm. It isn't wake up calling. I'm grateful to the chairman, Yes Suy, for holding this hearing we talked about in my comics yesterday. In the last year or two, you had a guy who wrote a book, skating book in the United States, this is in New York against the Iranian regime and he was stabbing in New York by somebody who ascribes to the revolution Iranian Revolutionary Islamic Revolutionary Guard ideology. So these people are
in the United States. Me let me say that we know that we've had over one hundred and fifty people that are on a specialized alert system that have come from Iran across that southern border, that specific to Iran, that are on a special trip wire of seventy thousand individuals that have come across our southern border that we are heightened alarm one hundred and fifty specific to Iran. But that's not even inclusive of the two hundred and fifty the last two years that
have come across our own Cherish walk list. This is a separate category of people that we've got a heightened alarm that'll come across that southern border. So when you have one point five million got aways, we don't know who those are. They've come across the southern board, there's been no contact. That's just by watching tracking the footprints to the southern border, and they weren't encountered. Now we don't know what's gotten in the United States. And when you
think of your water system, you think you'll let your grid. Do you think of the ability to kidnap families? Imagine what would have on the coordinated effort of kidnapping families, but political pressure on people. So I mean this is when I say this, maybe the Lord be getting every one of us on our knees in prayer for this nation. Number one, they're repent to turn from our moral and cultural rot and then have the ability to position in
God we trust to protect this nation. I want to get back to the CRS. I guess we're going to have to do one, probably here pretty quick. But I understand the rest of the money business will kind of fall into order and take shape pretty much the way the twenty would like to see it operate here pretty soon. Quite correct. Well, we look one of the things that the new Speaker, Mike Johnson has said is let's getting back to the business of trying to finish our op proparation bills, and so that
started yesterday. I'm hopeful that we could send forward a completed product that gives us the strongest negotiating position. I just got wored this morning. Just it's in the first thirty days of this fiscal year. Our deficit is already five hundred million dollars in one month, five hundred billion dollars. In nineteen eighty,
the size of our entire debt was one trillion in one month. Already, our annual deficit for one month is five hundred million, half of what it took us two hundred years of debt accumulation to get to total debt to this nation in nineteen eighty, and we've already overspent it in this first month in this fiscal year.
