Alrighty, good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome. It's time now for our community connection right here on Gay one, the one you trust, Yes indeed, and you know what today we're gonna visit with a good friend of ours, Randall Jones. And Randall is I like this title student Success Advisor at Tricouty Tech and you come in here quite often here and we hear a lot of success stories. But we're gonna
kind of introduce people on how they can become successful today. That's all right, we can start now. We've got some programs coming up starting in January. We've got an EMT course going to start in January, so if that's something you're still interested in, we got a handful of slots left for that and we can get you, get you going, and get you in for it. We also got to have a CNA and a basic full botomy class
coming. Those are real short term. Our basic full bottom he's done in about three weeks through four weeks and then CNA's done in about three months, so it's a couple of nights a week. So definitely a great time to start that start that journey, you know, phlebotomy. There, you got a bunch over there, Sentien Saint John Hips and you know what I call that core over there painless. I don't know how they do it. I mean it used to be that used to hurt. Yeah, they got it
now. I mean a mosquito bike gives you more. That's right, they got it down on. So we'll keep training more of them. So come out and roll, get get in there and see it. So those are just first come, first serve, jump online, you're paying, register and you're in man goodness, thanks. That is something else. Now at the e m T training and becoming a paramedic, that's where the so called action is. Yeah, you get to you get to really be on the edge
of life safe. Yeah for sure. Definitely in serving clients at their most vulnerable moments. So you know our instructors that are doing our EMT there, that's about a six month certification. They do a great job in getting you ready. So it's a few nights a week and you're done in six months. You start in January, you're graduating in June and ready to go to work and that includes some of your clinical time as well. And then after
you have your EMT. You can apply for our paramedic course, which where now we just got accredited our national creditation and so we are we're offering it every year. So we'll do anatomy and physiology as a pre wreck for that class, and so we're offering that in April, and then when you finish that in April, you'll start class in July. So, man, the hits keep coming, don't let's go. I like this and I see why they call you student success advisor. There are so many different ways to become
successful at Tri County Tech. And boy, we've got high school enrollment coming up. Tell us a little bit about that. What's the process. Yeah, so that's a bit of a process because we get a lot of applications for that and so it starts really early for us. So our high school students, we're already looking at enrollment coming into next to August. So if you have a student or you are a student that is a sophomore in high school, almost all of our programs so we'll be around all of our partner
schools. We'll be doing visits around February. I'm getting things out so we can get applications going, So be looking for that. It's it's definitely be thinking about be having those conversations. And you know, we tell high school students tech is a great option for a lot of reasons. Because whether you want to go to college or you want to go right into the workforce, you want to do military, tech is a great option for you, no
matter what. Kidding. So with most most of those classes being getting college credit hours and as well as high school credits, it's definitely a great option for you. You're with us half a day, and our classroom settings are not traditional. You know, we get to those guys. I mean, if they're welding, they're in the shop welding, if they're if they're painting car, if they're in auto collision, they're out in the shop painting cars.
They're doing hands on experience and we want to we and our students love being there. Yeah, you ask the students that come. They they love coming because it's very hands on and very engaging, and our instructors do a
phenomenal job. You know, people learn in a variety of different ways, and there's some students who can excelt great by just reading a book, but the majority it's getting your hands dirty it's actually touching, feeling and absorbing what you're doing with your entire human package, your sensory and your mental and everything else. You know. So that is really cool, and I understand why the people who get the chance to get hands on they want to do this.
That's why they're there. You want to do it, and all of a sudden they get to do that. Absolutely, hey, reward time, absolutely so you know, yeah, I'm absolutely all together there. I really like that. Sure. Yeah, So be checking out none of those high school applications because we do get so many. You know, we have a rubric and a point system that we follow. So your attendance and your behavior and your grades and all of that. So keep an eye on that.
Make sure you're going to school and doing the right thing if you really wanted to come, so we can get you, get you going in the fall. You know, while your buddies might be going off to a traditional college and god bless them. You know, by the time you're done try County Tech, you're not broke, and you're on the positive side of the money equation you're making. For sure. We like for high school students, it costs you nothing. I mean, it's free for high school students and then
our adult students when you come out. I mean, if you're a senior this year and you're not sure what you're gonna do, maybe haven't applied to college or haven't filled out fast for yet, and you're kind of behind the curve. Hey, come and see us. We've got a great option to get you. Get you job, get you certified, gets you going, and then if you decide to go to college, you've earned college credit while you're there, you know, kidding? Yeah, And ninety percent of our
student adult students qualify for financial assistance through our Tri County Tech Foundation. And then the majority of our student adult students are leaving us owing no money. They have no student debt, nothing. I mean, so it's a great option. You have no debt hanging over your head. You've got a certification to go get a hiring wage job that's in demand, and we want to help get you there. You know, we've answered the question of why go to Tri County Tech. Yeah, now you know, hey, why not?
You know, I'm if I'm a high school kid, I get those credits, get that knowledge, get that all under your belt, because you're never gonna get it at a better price. Yeah, well, like our other students, Success advisor Braiden. He always says this, He tells our high school students all the time. There's never gonna be a time in your life where your hand you're gonna have access to millions of dollars in technology at no charge to you to get education like you're gonna get at Trey County,
no kidding. And it doesn't stop there. But these are the big ones for the adult spring classes with the enrollment with the e MT Paramedic CNA and basic phlebotomy. Yes, I mean you're going places. Yeah, come home and then uh, you know, our cosmetology program just got a giant renovation. It's it's gonna be state of the art and it's coming real soon. So and that'll be opened. That salon will be open to the public and come in, come in, get get your hair cut and nails done,
skin all that kind of stuff. So it's gonna be auctioning out all over. You got that, and you got the nursing program and it's expanding. We just were just getting ready. We just accepted a whole new start that'll start in January, and whole new round and whole new twenty two students coming in and well January will applications will be starting for August for that too,
So all the time. So if you ever out there on the southeast end of town and you're maybe heading toward no Wading, you take a little look off to your right and you say, try County Tech. That's where it is. Yep. Well I'm going to tell you that's where it is, alrighty And if you think it looks kind of big on the outside, you wait till you get on the inside. That's a whole that's a whole new dimension. I don't know where you're inventing space in that, because you've got
a lot going on. They do, our guys. They find the place to get our students the space they need to get the education they need. So they do. And of course, you know if you're if you're worrying, well you know it's not exactly downtown. Well guess what, we got a police station right there. Yep. So if you were thinking, wow, that parking lot looks a little a little large to traverse, well don't have to worry. You've got an officer present right there. You got a
