Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome. It's time now for our community connection with Try County Tech. We have Randall and Braiden in with us today and guys, it's great to have both of you here in studio. Thanks for having us. So glad to be here. Now, Braiden, we got some paperwork for our high school kids to get done. Yes, we just did our high school acceptance. We're so excited for our students to come in August, but I still need them
to finalize their enrollment. That is due by the end of the month, so the end of May. Please get that enrollment finalization done. Oh please. You know you can't move anywhere until the paper is Also, I've got to have all their documentation. As soon as I've got that, they're ready to roll. Speaking of ready to roll, Steam camp is coming up, random, Yes, it is. We got that coming up real quick.
It'll be starting in June, and we got some spots, but that registration is going to close the end of the month, so and not very many left. So get if you haven't registered yet for the summer that summer camp, now's your chance. Now how do we go about that? It's right there on the website. Ye'll try County Tech dot edu find that they're on our homepage. There'll be a link to the registration page there. And now, what's all going on? We've got a lot, just so much.
What's going on there? Oh yeah, it's busy. We kind of restructured some of the adult stuff too, so we have EMT starts in July. We have Construction that's focusing on electrical it's a three month course, it starts in July. Then we also have construction. We've got welding that starts. Introduction to welding will start as well in July, and then our basic Machining
class and we've restructured those to three month courses. So for seven hundred and fifty bucks, you come in for ninety days, two nights a week, and you get the skills training in each of those categories and if you want to continue to build on that, then you'll you can just stay and keep going. But we're going to run those for on a flexible schedule so our adults have the opportunity to get in there and get out and get education. So then go to work. Where was this when I was shocked? Yeah?
No, judge. I'm telling you, man, here, I am sixty four. I'm like going. You know, welding sounds pretty good. I've ever met an unemployed welder. No, No, and we broke it. We broke those down for advance. So like in construction, instead of taking all electrical, plumbing, heating, and air carpet, you can choose. So if you want to just go the electrical route, you can do that. If you want to do just plumbing, you can do that.
We've got those all scheduled out and those schedules are listening on our website at Trek countytech dot edu. Just like a doctor, you can be a specialist. It's an incredible opportunity for our students at a quick pace. You know. Yeah, oh, I think so too. Now with the young people coming in, they've got a wide day. The world is at their finger tips out there at Trek County. Yeah, break, It's an incredible opportunity
for our high school students. You know, I wish I would have had this opportunity when I was their age, because not only are they getting to jump start on against their peers, but they're really getting their feet wet and see if this is a career they want to pursue, you know, whether they're college bound, career bound, or they're undecided. Tray County kind of has a little bit of everything for everyone. You know, we have graduation
this Thursday, so we're so excited. Now you do that at the center, doce Yeah, it'll be at the Center. We have two different ceremonies, so we have a large audience. But we're so proud of our students and their accomplishments. Well you oughta be, you gotta be. You know that that's a beautiful campus you've got there. And folks will say, oh, you know, that's a big parking lot and it's kind of these little building until they go in and go this a little know, you guys really
make good use of your space. Yes we do, Yes we did, and we you know, we just reopened our cosmetology salon. So while they may not be taking clients very much longer for the school year, you know, come August, come out and check out the new facility. It's absolutely beautiful. Now we're into the summer, we've got summer classes and everything,
and everybody keeps going, ah, well, summer's a break. We'll not crack downy Tech because learning is a year round, ongoing thing, and I tell us a little bit about what may be coming up and fall if you can, because I know that the push is going to be on pretty soon.
Absolutely. Yeah, we're still taking enrollments and pushing that. We've got our cosmetology is full for the fall, but taking applications for coming into January or even jumping on that wait list in case there's somebody that can't make it, So still not too late for that. We practical nursing is full and going in we'll be We're starting to take applications this summer, starting for the spring for our practical nursing program. We got a couple of spots we got
in our automotive collision and autotomotive service, so jump in. We can get you going in that if that's what you're interested in. And then again we've got all of our flex classes for accounting and that we'd love to get our student sins. We have a certified medical administrative assistant. So we're getting ready to launch a new hopefully get ready to launch a new a new program here real soon too. Waiting for some finalization on it, but yeah, it's
gonna be some good stuff that's amazing. I guess the shorter list would be what does it drag out of? Yeah? Yeah, because every time you guys come in, there's already like three or four things brand new. Yeah. We're constantly looking at what we can do to improve our service to our community members and the businesses in which that are a part of our community, because it's a win win for everyone. If we can produce, we can educate students to go to work, our employers win, our students win for
their success, and that's their success makes it our success. Brighton, How hard of a sell is it for these youngsters when you tell them that you can come in, get your credit, to get your courses, and if you want to go on to college, you can transform to at least oak Woo or just go out there and start working debt free. It's so awesome because you know, I don't think it's a hard sell at all, especially when step on our campus and kind of get to see all of the different
things. You know, we're not necessarily a college, but we're not necessarily a high school, but we have such a beautiful campus and again a variety of opportunities and really the sky's the limit or even past that for our students. Now, when when students approach you saying, well, you know, I'm thinking about it, what can I expect? So I imagine I'm a sophomore, just just a silly little sophomore. What do you tell a person
who's that age. You know, our first and foremost is, you know, we treat our students like adults because that's what it's going to be like no longer no, and you know, and you know that's we have such a great culture at Tri County and being able to relay that and have that ripple effect on our students. You know, it's a totally different environment than it would be in a school setting. And again you're there with like minded
individuals. Everyone has a different background, but you're coming together for one common thing in your program. You get smart. Yeah, now, Randal, how tough is it when you got a person who hasn't been in school for a while, but you know, here they are, they're taking classes, and they're they're getting ready to take classes. I imagine there's a little bit of nerves, but once it get in it it goes away. Absolutely. You know. The one thing that we hear time and time again from our
adult students. Is there is just the level of support that they're getting and the skills that they're learning are applicable. They're they're going able to walk into the workforce, whatever career field they're choosing, and have a sense of confidence, you know, when they leave us that they're ready to go to work. And that's our job. You know, we we we survey our employers.
We want to know what do they need, what are they what do they need from employees coming in, and so we then we try to build those skills around our classes so our students can walk into the workforce confidently ready to go. And that's not just you know, special to their career. I mean, we're talking about soft skills and resumes and interview skills, and we want them to be you know, the best version of themselves so that they can be successful and whatever they choose. Wow, you guys even had
the polish. Yeah, I like that anything and everything where that's right. You know something, I see a lot of very familiar faces when whenever we talk with our friends from cry County at Tech. And that's because you guys, like you're there forever and there's a reason for that. I understand.
The school is one what is it the Malcolm bald Ridge Award from just like coolest places to work for quality, you know, and again going back to that culture, you know, it really starts at the top and trickles down to all of our educators there at Tri County and again, being able to make that impact and have that you know, once in a lifetime chance of education for these students is huge for us and you as well. You've been
there a little bit more than a minute. Yeah, Yeah, I'm coming up three years, a little over three years, so yeah, we're heading down the road. But I've been a part of Track County, been a part of me. I attended there in high school. Yeah, I've put two kids. I got two kids in one graduated to in now. So it's part of our life. Yeah, and it's generational. You know, my dad attended classes there and so it's generational. And I know the difference.
It's not a thing that you get to call work when it's something that you love and you know what it means and you know it's there's learning some life skills that are going to change the direction of some life. So it's important it's valuable and I'm just honored to get to be a part of it. It's a humbling experience for sure, Brandon. How do we get to know more about Try counting Tech? Can we just go to the website? Yeah, try cutting tech dot du You know, it's kind of the catch
all for all of our information. Check out our socials. We have an awesome social media presence, so Facebook, Instagram, be up to date on all of that. But all of our contact information is on there and we're always ready to help. Like I said, where they're all summer, So if you need anything, give us a shout. And I got a question with you, Rayl. What if we want to take a look at it, you know, with without the filter of a camera, without the filter
of a website. Can we go there in person? Can we just make a phone absolutely, make a phone call, send an email. You can even my phone the phone number that's on there. You can text the number that Braid and I have. We'd love to schedule a tour for you and get you to show your campus, answer any questions we have for you and help you get get get you going down the road. Well, you can't make it any easier nods a texting machine going, you've got a text.
Well, everybody likes to tax, so it's that's I always point that out. So it's some people don't like to make a phone call. But if you want to shoot a quick text and we can schedule it that way, that works for us, and machine grabs it. Hot dog, let's go. That's technology. I guess I got to catch up. Maybe I need a few classes out there. All right, we've been talking with tray Countie
Tech. I want to thank you both, Randall Braiden for both coming in here today and have yourself an enjoyable week, and thank you so much. Just thank you
