Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome. It's time for our community connection right here on K one, the one you dressed in. We have Randall Jones in here from Try County Tech. How you doing man, Man doing good? Always an great opportunity when I get to come over here and talk about all the great things going on. Well, we have a great thing coming up. We have a what a

career pairs. Yeah, so it's been a while since we've hosted one, but we're hosting a career fair and so we've got some of our partner high schools that'll be coming, all of our students will be coming over to it. We'll have a morning session in an afternoon on the twenty eighth, and where we've got to hold this right right there in our Tri County campus. So we're going to have we've got rooms ready and we'll have tables set up.

But if you're a business and you kind of looking for employees, man, this is a great opportunity to come and get get in front of our students and they're gonna have resumes ready and kind of talk about why your business would be a great place for our students to come to work and we'd love to have you coming soup table. If I have a business and I'm interested in this, how do I get a hold of it? And who do I get a hold of it? Tricottie. Yeah, yeah, you can

shoot me an email at Randall dot Jones at Tri Countytech dot edu. But there's a link for the vendor registration on our Facebook page. We've shared it. There's an event there. You can go there, click that event and it'll open the registration and you can register just a few short questions. It's a simple form. It's free of charge, so we're not even charging you to come up, and we'll even feed you lunch. So yeah, hot dog. And of course you got the best students around, all best and

that's you know. One of the things that I love about Tri County is we don't just want students to come and attend and get certifications. We want to see them because real success comes if after they leave our doors, when they step into the workforce, and so we're preparing them for that. But we also want to help make connections for them for their future success and the

career that they want to choose. And we want to help get them and that happens when we partner with great businesses here and to get our students there and get them jobs and get them working. Ever since Trike County tackles up and running, and we've been partnering with each other, with the community, with the businesses, and with the folks who really need good skilled workers. Yes, sir, absolutely, and it's been a partnership that has worked hand

in glove for several decades. Absolutely, and we just excited to see that continuing to grow. So, I mean, we have students that are coming to us and they're you know, maybe when they graduate, they want to go on to college. So we've got some we're gonna have universities there that

are gonna be able to talk to those students. We have students that want to leave us and go to the military to use their certifications in the service, and so we're gonna have recruiters there and talking to students that want to go that route. And then some of our students are going to go right to the workforce and start a career and build on that. And that's what

we want businesses there for to get get them going. And this is a great place to get it done, Like you said, if business has not going to cost to anything, not even feed and you probably walk home with the good recruits as far as their resumes are concerned. For sure, this is the place to make it happen. It's a win win for everybody. And that's the kind of solutions that we expect to try. Everybody win.

Absolutely. I'm gonna like to encourage you if your local business and say, hey, you know, I'm fully staffed right now, but you know, you don't know when that's gonna change, and you don't know when that's going

to happen. And even if it doesn't happen for a while, I mean, just being a part of an event like this to get our students really great practice and meeting you and you meeting them and helping them develop as an employer or you as an employer and them develop as an employee is a great aspect and we'd love to have you come out and be a part of that. Oh. Indeed, indeed, indeed. Now, one thing that's great about Trike County Tech is that when the students leave, they usually don't owe

a dime. Yeah, And so if you're an employee, you have to worry about that right then, I got a lot of student debt coming over their heads and so and know that, you know the guys that the teachers that are teaching them in those in their programs are coming from industry, and

we have advisory boards that are a part of our programs as well. So our students aren't just setting in a classroom, they're working in labs, hands on experience, hearing from experts who have been in the industry for a while. So they're coming out ready for the career field that they're going into. And that's great. And if you're thinking of this, if you're a student,

or if you're a parent or guardian or a student. As far as becoming a student a Try County Tech, it's nothing but pluses across the board, absolutely because you can either just walk out after you get certified, go to work, or if you want to go to college. You have ways

of even integrating the hours of Try County Tech with partnering universities. Right we have articulation agreements and with the State Career, the Career of Oklahoma sign a deal where we've got some especially for our nursing students, with multiple options for different universities that will recognize those hours. We have one right here locally with Oklahoma Westland recognizing those hours and giving a tuition scholarship or waiver for our students

that leave from up to fifty percent scholarship. So that's amazing deal. And that comes across any of our programs. And we're we're recruiting right now for our adult programs coming up in August. Braid's getting ready to do high school enrollment. He's been out recruiting really heavy and we'll let them know the first week of April. So that's coming out real quick too. So lot's going on. You know. The thing is with the adult programs, Folks were

saying, well, how does that work? Well, usually it happens well when you have been out in the workforce for a little bit and you realize that you've got something going on here, but maybe you could do a little bit better. Yeah, and that's where folks start to challenge themselves a little bit. And I got to tell you, if you're on the fence, don't sit there too long, because these classes for adults fill up. For Yeah, we get a lot of them filled up, and we're kind of

changing dynamics of some different things. Too, looking at some quarterly enrollment, so we'll offer where you know, our welding class will be you can every three months, we're going to take openings. We'll have openings for welding class so you can try to help get more students in and more and more students out. We're going to be structuring some of other programs just like that here

in the real near future. So I'm really excited about it to get more students the help that they need so that they can have the future and success and the career that they want. And you know something I don't oh of a welder that's ever been without work, No, because there's a high demand. It's not going away. Yeah, it's a high demand skill for sure. And you know, every one of the guys I've worked with have always been busy. Yeah. Another problem. We just restructured our so we used

to be medical office Specialists. It's now certified Medical Assistant administrator. Okay, a couple of nights a week and you get the intro to anatomy and physiology and so it's a great class. The enrollment for its open right now and that class will start in April. So we've got some openings coming up for that, so nice. Yeah, paramedic, We've got openings coming for paramedic

too. We're going to start offering that once a year. But our Anatomy and Physiology, which is an intro course to that program, starts in April. So if that's something any of you EMTs out there who are interested to take it to the next level, want to become a paramedic, shoot me an email, give me a call, Mike. Goodness sakes, it's always happening and you're taking a little bit of time for like spring break or fall

breakdown. Other than that, it's just constant and it's really a good thing because as you're seeing students come in, you're seeing students graduate, and every now and then, if you of them come back, just say how do you see how things are going? Don't They absolutely? And we love it. It's an awesome thing to get them to come back and share with our students of the success they've had after they finished. We have so many of those and so it's great to have that opportunity. Well, okay, here,

so how you can be a part of that success story. If you have a business and you're looking to hire people or maybe perhaps down the road thinking about adding on some positions. This is where you need to go to set up your booth yea, And it doesn't cost a die and Randlem's going to feed you. And it's all out there at Track County Tech. And

the date is March twenty eighth, So I have two sessions. We want you to stay the whole time with us, but we'll have a morning session from nine to noon and then you come back at twelve forty five until two forty five. Oh, they'll be camping out there. Let's go. Just get a hold of Rantle there at the Universe right County Tech, and we'll

get you all situated. This is gonna be a good time. This is gonna be really an eye opener here too, not only for the students, right, but because they're ready to go for sure, but also an eye opener for maybe businesses who have heard of try County Tech but not really have been, you know, uh meshed in with them to the point where others have. Now there are a lot of businesses in town who have and they kind of rely on what we are trying to try County Tech. We trained

to work for us and everything else like that. But if you're new to the game a little bit, hey, this is this is a great way to spend your day. This is a great way to talk to some prospective employees. Yeah, without a doubt, it's a it's a great opportunity for you to see the kind of students that we have here locally, that that are that are coming out ready to go, and we'd love to have you be a part of it. So alrighty, hey, thank you, Randa,

I know problem, thanks for having me. All right, folks, you've been listening to our community connection
