So it's all for just a good family time and for a good cause. So it's taken on the theme of Saint Patty it is, and there's plenty of green space.
There is plenty, yeah, no pun intended, none, But there's also a lot of fun, a lot of prizes, and of course knowing that you've done well for a community and you did something healthy for yourself. It is like I said, even if you're not a runner or a walker, even if you just want to come out and just you just catch the vibe.
It's a whole vibe it is. It is a fun time and it helps us so much with what we got going on with Mary Marthe outreach with Catholic Charities, And tell us a little bit about Mary marth Outreach. What goes on there? What for someone who's never been in our community before, Because we do have new people who move in all the time we do. We're seeing in an influx of that. Everyonebody wants to come to Oklahoma. But
we have a great community of nonprofits here and Catholic Charities. We are a food pantry and I say that lightly, but we're a pretty big food pantry. Yeah. When we joined with Catholic Charities, it made us the largest individual food pantry for in the state of Oklahoma. So we give out food weekly and they can get food the families weekly. We give it out daily.
But we also have clothing and crisis and we do little things like back to school clothing and a coat drive where you're not in a way partner agency, so they fund us for those items. And not only do we give food, we give fresh food, fruit and produce. So that's really important.
It really is no food desert here right right. So, but we have seen an influx in individuals and need times are tough, and so we're this fundraiser is really important because we have it had to buy a lot more food as well, because we want to give a well rounded amount, so you know, make sure we got to meet you know, the protein and carbohydrates and so we try to make sure that that is sufficient for our families. And it's about a two day supplement, but like I said, we
give it once a week and it's a well oiled machine out there. Oh yeah, you learned a little bit from COVID as we've we did in the past, but the way you've got it all systemized, it really works well. It works. It's phenomenal out there, and we anybody to come out and volunteer or if they ever want a tour, I am proud to show it. Great. Yeah, the blue buildings, that's right, you can't
miss it, that's right. It's huge. The only thing bigger out there is Phillip sixty six weeks, that's right, that's right, And we don't need to compare with that. No no, no, no, no, no, they're tons bigger. But it's a big blue building out there. And by golly, you do such a good work out there for so many people who have fallen between the cracks. Right right now, getting back to the race. The date of the race is March night, March ninth.
The race fires at nine am and we do pre registration, so a lot of people kind of wait to see what the weather is doing. We like for people to sign up early so we can get a good head count, but if you haven't decided until that day of you can still sign up. We start that at seven thirty. It is thirty five dollars a day of the race. But we do get a lot of people that change their minds or plans cancel and they come sign up that day. Yeah, I won't
be I'm in c and for good reasons. So it is always really fun. And you're right there at the Tower center and also right there at the big green space and nothing really says Bartlefield like that little area of town. Certainly I mean that that that's as welcome you're here, and this is going to be a good time for everyone, and it goes for such a great call it does. It's really important, and I do hope people realize that
when they're out there having a good time. It's very important. Now, mister, let's say if you're you're you're to the point in your life where running is just not something you can do. Can we still participate in some way, shape or from it. Absolutely so you can walk or you can come and walk. We also have we call it cheering from the couch where you can get a T shirt and those t shirts are hot items so and we definitely encourage people to get one this year. It's they're super nice.

Yeah, we have a lot of people that they say, this is our first five K and that's exciting and it is it is, and it's it's fun to cheer them on and just to see their faces when they cross the finish line.
