Thanks for listening to one on am a professional paid presentation in the fourteen Hebrew k one. Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome. He is at time now for our community connection right here on Kay one, the one you trust, and we're talking to our friends from a Samaritan counseling service and we have Kristen and Lacey if I'm not mistaken, correct alright, ha ha, it's one in a row. How are we doing, ladies? Good? Thanks for having us now. Things are
always happening at Samaritan. A lot of people's lives are getting changed one day at a time. And we've got really something kind of neat going on right now. I mean just in time for the where people normally spend a lot of money, you're offering to save them a lot of money. Right hopefully
helps some people out and get the word out about a new service. So we've been doing neurofeedback along with our other counseling services for a couple of years, but it's still new and we're kicking it off and want to get the word out word of mouth. That's usually the best way to advertise something, and so we're doing a little cost savings deal right now to get people in the door and hopefully help in ways that people don't realize that, you know,
we have that opportunity. This is the only place in the area that offers neurofeedback. So okay, yeah, that's kind of a mouthful neurofeedback. So I'm going to port to Lacey here. Lacey, tell us a little bit about neurofeedback. What are we talking about it. I've got an idea, but I want it to be the right idea clarifying place. Sure. So, neurofeedback is a method of training irregular brain wave activity that's associated with
negative mental health symptoms such as anxiety depression add ADHD. So it's just it's a non medication approach that's long lasting that helps people with their mental health. Okay, so I don't have to take pills. My brain just relearns behavior. Your brain will the brain waves which are associated with those negative mental health
symptoms. During the neurofeedback training sessions, will learn how to keep the movie screen that they're watching lit up, and so when the brain is having the correct response for those brain waves, the movie screen will light up like you're watching a movie at home. When the brain waves are in the wrong range
associated with those negative mental health symptoms. That's when just for a split second, the screen fades out, dims gets dark, and so there's an inch play going back and forth between the goals that have been set for the brain waves and the person's brain. Wow, and you can do that with this device. Wow, that's incredible. Talk about science future. Yeah. It just looks like a swim cap with sensors on the underneath side of it, so it's it's not so out yea idea. Yeah, similar to like an
eeg if. Oh yeah, you've done that and you get to watch a movie. Right. Wow, that's incredible. That's incredible. And we have a price reduction on this, Yes, we have currently from now through March, we have a five hundred and ninety dollars savings. So huge deal right now. Wow, that is huge. Yes. So if anybody's been thinking about what is neurofeedback, I've been curious about it. I think it's something that I want for myself or my family. Now would be a great time
to jump on that. And the benefits of this are tremendous, aren't they long lasting? For sure? Results can be seen years and years after uh, application, the training has stopped. So unlike medication, you know, meds, you forget to take that pill and it's, uh, your brain's back to the way it always is. But neuro feedback the brain, the brain waves actually learn where they need to be and when they go in the right range, they figure it out. Just like the habit of riding a
bike. Over time, the brain waves go into the correct range, and after so many times they stay there, kind of like riding the bike, you never forget right. That's like riding bike. Guys are cooking up some miracles out there, aren't you. It's some pretty incredible stuff. There's a lot of good research behind it. I believe it. Now. You tell
us that this is something you really can't find anywhere around town. Yeah, so, of course south of town Tulsa area, you know it's available, but in this area, Smarting Counseling is the only place that offers that. Wow. Yeah, that is truly amazing. And you know, it just seems like every time you're in. Yeah, you tell us just a little something more about Samaritan and just how how much people can get help that need help. Then this just sounds so great. I like the idea of no
medications. I like the idea of this basically doing your brain waves to put them in the correct pattern, and it's all done right there and you're easily taking care of it sticks with you for years. You don't have to worry about missing the day of a pill or relearning everything all over again. That in the long run, saves so much money, so many tiers, so many feelings and stuff like that. You got to be pretty proud to be
a part of that. It sure does. It's amazing. I originally got my start in Tulsa, and I'm completely bored certified in the neuro feedback, and a lot of the kiddos that we were seeing in Tulsa, it was because they would be a parent of an ADHD child would bring their kid in and say, hey, you know, when my kid takes that ADHD medicine, they focus, but I can't get them to eat because it suppresses their appetite as a side effect, and so yeah, so you know sometimes those
kids have a hard time like gaining weight, and so this is an alternative approach to that. I like that. I like that because you know, with medication, yeah, there's always kind of like a trained off or an offset in many cases not all cats, and that this one you're treating the whole patient. Yeah, absolutely, And we're lucky to have Lacy on board. She has a passion around euro feedback. She brought it to us again, board certified in it and licensed therapist, and so we're lucky to have
her and the great things that she brings to. You know what Samaritan did some things that were kind of about different but necessary. It was born out of COVID. Tele Medicine was not necessarily a big deal. It was one of those night work. Yeah, I don't know, but it wound up saving a lot of people's lives, and it wound up preserving a lot of people's peace of mind and mental health when you implemented that within days after COVID, Yes, it was right away. Yeah, mental health is big,
especially after COVID. You know, you see the impact, and so we continue to try to do what we can to help people out in this time. Yet, so this works for ADHD, it doesn't work for anxiety anxiety depression. Yeah, the results the research shows are pretty outstanding. There's a let's see if seventy to eighty percent of success rate reported among the neurofeedback practitioners. So it's it's quite high, it's evidence based, it's good stuff.
Well, Christine, looks sounds like you invested well with this technology and with the personnel involved. Right. Yes, we just need, you know, people to find out what it is. Find out what it is, right because it is still a new concept and so and I think once you start hearing those success stories, more and more people can get improvement from it. Do we have anything on our I know on your Facebook page, it's on
there. Do we have anything on your website yet? Yeah, so we don't have specific detail on that, but we you know, of course list the services that we have on there website Samaritanbartlesbeille dot org. The best way I think to get started would be to give us a call or stop by. Our phone number is nine one eight three three six one four six three And then we're located just right across from Sooner Park two four five South Madison Boulevard, one of the more scenic parts of town. I might add,
and this is this is great, this is great. Now we do all kinds of fundraisers in order to keep Smariton up and running and be able to provide great investments in mental health like we have here and every time we talk about a fun thing, that Samaritan, if we do plenty of fun things. Yes, this is where the hard work comes in. And when you make your contributions at these advanced, these fundraisers, this is what happens.
And also you know you're supporting round ladies and gentlemen. Makes for a happier, healthier community too. Absolutely so. Depression anxiety ADHD, folks with the these issues can benefit greatly from this neuro feedback. And I'm saying that correctly, right, Yes, neuro feedback. It's been around for decades and it's evidence backs, research backs. Well, we can't beat that. Can't beat that. And then of course wealth of other services that are offered to every
everyone that you know pretty much draws a breath. If you're a youngster all the way up to an oldster like me, you can you can make an appointment and you can find out what's going to work best for you on absolutely yeah. And again just a reminder, we have this deal going on through March through March, and this is five ninety five hundred and ninety dollars savings. Wow, five hundred and ninety dollars savings. That's that's a that's a lot back in my pocket. I feel my anxiety go down right now,
right because we do get anxious around the holidays, don't we. Yeah, I know I do a little bit. I get anxious. You know, watch some people work in the kitchen. Well, I says it done yet, and then they get anxious. And when they get anxious, I get a little anxious, and I got to go retrieve you. But anyway,
that's a long story here. That's probably for somebody else's couch. But once again, I want you to go to their website and also check out their Facebook page for Samaritan Counseling and read up on them and make that call. If this is something that you've been thinking about or it's new to you and you want to know more about it, the fine folks at Samaritan are gonna
give you all the details you could ever want. And on top of that, you can save five hundred and ninety dollars through March on this treatment. And it works. It works for years and years and years and years and years. You don't't to worry about going to the pharmacist. Nothing against my pharmacists. They're good friends of mine, they truly are. But you know, this is something that's going to stick with you. Ladies. Wow, thanks for bringing miracles to us here. I really appreciate it. You know,
it's nice to know we have such a great resource. And if folks are got it, like a thousand dollars or so in their pocket, can they make a contribution. It's just burning a hole, you know, absolutely yes, And this is such a great time to do that. Around the holidays. People need counseling services and that's how we are able to provide to our community. It's their donations. So on our website there is a place
to donate again Samaritanbartlesville dot org. Uh huh. You can donate any any level, or you know, drop off a check to our offices and it'll work out just fine. We'll make sure that every dollar has a name and it'll go someplace where it's needed most. Yes, Lazy Kristin, I want to thank you both for coming in here. This is probably one of the more timely things that I could think of. And I know she's been working
on this since the summer. You know that at far Arranging she is you gotta watch, But I want to thank you both for coming in and folks, we've got to check you with your forecast coming up.
