Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome. It's time now for our community connection. Right, you're on K one, the one you trust. And hey, I understand. We have an auction coming up, Miss Tina. We do yet twenty six annually. Yeah, sorry, that's good, that's good. Tell us all about it. What's the twenty ninth of July this month, last Saturday of this month, so be prepared, mark your calendars. It is a unique auction that you

save money. Yes, because sometimes the things get compiled because oftentimes we do these for charity, but this time we're doing it for you. Yes. Yeah, you are the charity. You're the beneficiary of this baby. Yes. So our bidding stops at eighty percent of the retail price. Whoever is the last bid is up to the auctioneer and we trusted judgment and whoever he sees first, it goes to him. So but we also have that max bid too, so if you want that item, you don't have to sit

through the back and forth. If you want it, you just hold up your MAX card and you say Max bit, it's mine. You agree to pay that eighty percent of that retail price and you can take it Home. I know there's some certain people buying all these certain restaurants. Nobody's got Max, you know, and we get they get the certificate right there. Yeah, Dinks is a very popular one that goes really quickly. And we have Crossing Second. Let me let me scroll to the bottom of our website because

everybody thinks that we're doing an auction. We're just doing, you know, great big pieces. We're doing some gifts certificates to some fabulous places. Yes we are. And we have a couple of different restaurants. So we have a lot of burger We have them Hot to Raise Little Mexico. We have Senior Salsa and Dinks, as we mentioned, and I believe there's some Crossing

Second as well. So we have all kinds of things. So we have the golf course, Hillcrest Golf Course in Coffeeville, and we also have some pet Silons Angie's Petsilon will have gift certificates for that as well as massage therapy. And then we have some fun things like yet a destination things if you want to go to Arbuckle Wilderness and David's Oklahoma, we have vouchers for that.

We have Kansas City Zoo, Kansas City, Renaissance, National Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma City, and River Sport in Oklahoma City as well, so you can make a little package deal and go down and do that whitewater rafting and then go take in the museum. Or we have some things in Branson. We have stuff at the Eureka Springs. So go check out our website Barslow Radio dot com. Over on the right side, you'll see my little dance

in auction man. Click him and it'll take you to the website that shows you all of the fun things and you can click on a printable list, so that way you can have your your shopping list ready and you could also see pictures of all the things that we have available. And as we get more items, we put more items on there. So when we get them, we take their picture, we put them up for you and you can

check that out. And if you have any questions, of course, you know, always give us a call here at the station and answer any questions that you may have. But um, we have thanks for the guys. We have thanks for moms and dads and grandmas and grandpas. I mean we have thanks for everybody. So we had a cow yeah, I don't know if we get that cow for the I know it the coffee mill when we had a cow, but I've heard rumor of it, but I have no

confirmation yet. Yeah. Yeah, um, but we have a lot of tools and we have like a jump starter and a battery tender and um, some different tools and cleaning car things from b and see Auto Parts. Um. We do have a lawnmower from Romance Outdoor Power. You know, I need to look check my list for a chainsaw. I don't think we haven't chained saw at the moment. But we do have some really nice jewelry from McCoy's Jewelers and windows as well. We have that nice recliner from Michael's Carpet

and Sleep Center. If you're wanting a recliner, this is a place to get it because it always goes for less money. So you know, it's the eighty percent stop we stopped then our tracks, that's it. And sometimes John gets old. We have to like whoa rain it in because he gets excited. You know, he's an auctioneer. He's designed to get as much money as possible. But we have to say no, yeah, put their

brakes on. But we also have a lot of good door prizes too, So if you want to just come check it out, you know we've been there before. Check out our auction sign up register for a number. They're free numbers. You don't have to pay anything for them, and then you

get put in the drawing for door prizes. So and that can be anything from gift certificates to um destination places and you know, little little things that we have to purchase because we have to hit a certain dollar amount when we purchase items from these companies and sometimes you know, if they're smaller, sometimes they go into the door price. Ben, did we have a thing on the wall that we do it's kind of special. We have that gift certificate

wall. Yes, we do. Yeah, tell us about that because I saw that the first time I got here, and I'm going, well, that's pretty interesting. I wonder what that does. So what we when we have gift certificates, we have everything listed on a wall and it's all on yellow paper, so when you come in you can't miss the yellow paper, but everything is listed. And then it also like when we have shows in Branson or Eureka Springs or or something like that, it has a list of

when those shows are available. So let's say, okay, well I'm going August fifteenth, so I need to know what shows are available on the time that I'm there. So you can look at all of those calendars and write down, Okay, I need this show, this show, and this show, and I will tell you. I just got back from Ranson this weekend and it was such a super good time and the Hughes Brothers Theater, it was so fun we had We had such a good time. We went and

watched the Music Show and the ReVibe Show. The ReVibe is the second generation. The kids do it all themselves. They do all the choreography, they do all the sound, the lightning, the everything. The kids do it all themselves. And it was so much fun we had. And I took teenagers and they had the best time. That was their favorite part of our trip. And we even went to theme parks and things like that, and

they still chose the theater as their favorite part of the trips. So yeah, and this is a good place to get your tickets because you know they're they're they're discounted, they're different, or it's a it's an auction, so you know, you set the prices and you get the good deals and um, it's it's a good place to find your destination tickets. So indeed, but we also um like if you if they give certificates, go through the auction and you think, ah, man, I should have got those,

why didn't I get those? Well, if they're still available, you can go back to the back corner where Miss Tammy usually runs the show back there and she will sell you your tickets. So if they're if they're still in play, they're still some available. And you think I should have got two more of those I should have got you know, I should have went ahead and bought those, then just go back and see Miss Tammy and she will she will take care of you right there. Indeed. So but we have

stuff, man, we have like stuff for the kitchen. We have alive oils from the Pahusca Olive Oil Company. We have things from Popcasts Pharmacy up in Dewey. They got a new facelift. Their store looks amazing Ashley has done. Oh it's so beautiful full in there. Um, We've got stuff from Prairie Cottage over in Pahaska. Thompson Brothers Welding and Supply We got a Pelican cooler, and my mom will testify those are the best coolers ever.

They are fantastic coolers. They will uh, they will keep ice for like three days outside. It's crazy. They're so good. We do have um a cordless uh wheat trimmer. We don't have a chainsaw, but we have a leafblower which also vacuums and mulches. And then we have the wheat trimmer and some dog foods and some different things. We have some coffee Bill Coffee Company coffee. Say that a couple of times, say that a couple of

times, real fast. And then we have some Coffeeville enamel Coffeeville mugs full of the icy candy. And I don't know if you know, Tom, but the icy originated in coffee Bille, Kansas. They did. Indeed, we have some turquoise jewelry from Windell's Rock and Jewelry. Um. We just have go to our website check out what we have. All the pictures are available of everything that we have purchased thus far. If you're a business and you want to get in on the action, you get auction action, give

us a call. We'll give somebody a route to your place and we'll get you involved. And it's a good way to advertise. Um, it's a good way to get extra exposure. Uh, not just on our promos, but on the day itself. We have lots of people that come. You know, we have people that come from quite a ways away as well. So we get people from Missouri, we get people from from Arkansas, we

get people from you know, southern Oklahoma, Southern Oklahoma. Yes, yeah, if we've had them down there on the on the line, so yeah, I mean it's not it's it's it's a good time. It is. Everybody loves an auction, and this is brand new stuff. It's not stuff that's been setting in the barn for a hundred years. I mean not that that's not good stuff, because it's good stuff, but um, you know this is a brand new Stoff still in the package, so you don't have

to worry about it. Yes, and you know I love a good auction myself. Well, it's a lot of fun. Now we're gonna do this. We're gonna be at the Washington County fair Grounds and do eat an air conditioned comfort. I don't want anybody thinking that you're going to have a sweat attack being ondoors. We're gonna be indoors and air conditioned comfort. Now we're gonna open up the doors at eight and the bidding will start promptly at nine.

I'll show up somewhere between ninety because I gotta do this. Yes, yes, And then you will have everybody here from the stations helping out to just playing things of being the locally Carol Merrill or whatever and uh and distributing your your goodies that you purchase. But are we're gonna have a treat sre me a little snackage for people to crossing second, we'll be there, yes, or concessions, yes, yes. And they have very good breakfast items

and then they switch over to a kind of a lone item. They have that chicken salad. I hope they bring the chicken salad. Oh my gosh, it's so good. I love that good. Yeah. And the little sandwiches that they have that like that the sandwich, Yeah, that's so good. Yes, they will be there. So now I'm getting hungry, Tom, I need the ham and cheese sandwich. You know. I used to

play my guitar there, you know, yeah, and performed. I was going to do it for the food, and he said no, no, no, we'll pay you because if you do the food, we'll be losing money. They took a look at that appetite. But anyway, that good stuff, great people who would love to have them on board. Yes, so definitely go check out our website. If you got a Bartenesfall Radio dot

com over on the side, you can click through that. It'll take you to our web page there that has all of our items on it, and you can click on each item and it makes a little bit bigger, so you can kind of get some information. Uh. And then if you'll click on right there towards the top of where your images are, it says click here to see a complete list of gift certificates and items. So you click that. That's a printable list if you want to make your shopping list.

So and you look like the people who've been doing it for years, Yeah, you'll look like a pro. Yeah yeah, but you say, hey, I'm not a mark what I'm doing here? That's right, But we always have a good time. Again, It's Saturday, July twenty nine. People do the Christmas shopping with this. It's a smart idea. I mean,

I'm not kiding Yeah, it's a smart idea. I bought my son's birthday present here a couple of years ago during the auction, and his birthdays not till November, so I had to keep that secret for so long. And he even said, man, I really wish I would have had that. I'm like, oh, man, don't say it, don't say it, don't say it. Hey probably could read through me pretty easy, but he probably knew he had it. But it was good time. So but

this is it. You know, if you've got special people on your list, or if you just want to have something for your home's something for you, um, you got somebody else maybe in mind. This is a great place to do it. It's gonna save a lot of money. You got to see a lot of people, meet new friends, maybe run into your pie, running into a lot of your old friends too, and you get to have you know, delicious little uh snack and maybe a beverage to go

along with it too. It'll be for purpose and you get to meet all their radio staff. So that's fun too. Tom says, well, I guess if you have to meet me. Yeah, I just don't want folks to be disappointed. Never you sound so tall on the radio. I'm five nine. A shrunk happens when you're Yeah, I've been told I sound taller in the radio. Yeah, we all sound taller on that. We can't be filled. It can't be filled. We can't be tail I know.

Yeah, I've never been accused of being tall in my whole life, unless I was in kindergarten grade school right right now, then they might tell me, but probably not. They'd be like usually when I five year old, are like, I'm almost the soldier. Yeah, it happens. My nephew six, he tells me that all the time. But it is gonna be a lot of fun once get it's twenty six, twenty six years. Wow, that's a long time. It is a long time. Twenty six annual

auction in the radio station Auction Up and Dewey. On July twenty ninth, eight am, the doors opened at the Dewey Fairgrounds, Washington, I always called the Dewey Fairgrounds. It's the Washington County Fairgrounds and Dewey Dewey yea, yeah, air conditioned. In the course, at nine o'clock, we'll start with the guy going abroad. Remember how I remember? I don't know how they do that, but they do it very well. Yeah, I can't talk that fast. That's not fast, but not that fast. Same here,

but you know I could sprain a lip. How do they do that? Lots of training, lots of lots of training, and they never sweat. They're the coolest que cver in the whole place. That's an art form of what that is. I mean, I don't know, I don't know. I've always been fascinated by the by the auctioneer. Boy, I have too. Yeah, they and they go so fast and sometimes it's hard to keep up with them. So but you know, we hang on tight and we let a roll and we have a good time. It's entertaining what it

is. Yes, even if you wind up not yeah, buying anything, the experience in and of itself is pretty fun. Yeah. Yeah, we have a good time. And you know, the unique thing about us is does that eighty percent you want to you know, we only go to that eighty percent of that retail And then we also have that max bit option, so if you really want something, then you get to you know, just kind of jump in line there. And but yeah, good time, it is. It is, and we have the website. It's kind of connected.

It is connected to our main website, our award winning award winning at Bartlesville Radio dot com. Look for the cartoony guy with the mallet. Yes, you're ready to do the auction and kind of danced around over on the right side. Can't miss it. Yeah, just just click on him, tell him to cool it, and and you'll see the pictures and everything else. And also the rules. Yeah, it's only handful of rules, but we got to have any way, you know. Yeah, Hey, what

happens if we get too many people in there? We add more chairs? Okay, it's huge. I don't think I don't think we've had it. We've had a pretty fully What if the fire marshal has been notified? You know, it's in case I don't. I don't know Tom that that's an awfully large building. It is. I'm only kid because we'll always make more room. Yeah, it's a very large building. But yes, we'll always make more room. And yeah, all right, enough of mysell. Hey, Misstina, thank you, thanks for listening.
