It's kind of like been drinking from a water hose when it comes to our national news and what's been going on for federal government. First of all, your reaction to the resignation of the Secret Service director. Yeah, not surprised, and it should have happened
several days actually before I spoke directly with her. During the Republican National Convention. We're for senators myself, John Bresso, Marshall Blackburn, and Kevin Kramer all confronted her, couldn't believe that she came at number one to the convention itself. And then we were on a phone call with her earlier in the day asking some direct questions she could not give us an answer to or would not give us an answer to. And then we found out she came to
the convention. So we confronted her there to be able to talk directly to her. And it was a very frustrating conversation, to say the lea sign just the most basic thing of coming for hearing answering questions. And the key question that they could still not answer is when local law enforcement said we've got a suspicious person with a rangefinder that we've lost track of, that we don't
know where they are. When they radioed that in fifteen minutes before President Trump took the stage, secret Service never made the call to be able to hold the event until they've found this person. I mean, that's the most basic step. That there's a suspicious person in the crowd we've lost track of, and they still let everything go on. She couldn't even answer that one.
So's there's a major failure in leadership and an organization and the ability to be able to answer questions on it. So it's right to have that change. There's some additional people that are going to have a shift. That'll be the folks that were actually on site not making the call when they should have made the call. But we've got to be able to change the process. It's not just the people. We've got to just change the structure of how they
make decisions to make sure this never happens again. We're talking with you as Senator James Lankfort and Senator the Democrats always say democracy democracy. Republicans are a threat to democracy. Well, fourteen million votes kind of went out the window this past weekend. On the Democratic side, it did. Actually, Yeah, President Biden was behind in the polls before the debate, and then after
the debate performance was so terrible. Democrats pushed him out basically and said, you're so far behind in the polls, you're not going to catch up. We want to get somebody different and say if they can actually do it. So they held the whole primary, elected Biden in their primary, and then came back and said, yeah, but he's not beating Trump, and so let's go see if we can find somebody else. And all the voters that voted for Biden, they don't count anymore. Now. It's just the select
group of four thousand people that are the delegates. They're the only ones that are going to count, and they're going to restart again. By the way, with Kamala Harris now being the one to be able to step in, she's the one that actually organized all of the stuff for the border. She was the one that was in charge of making sure they dealt with root causes and all those things as assigned earlier in the year. But she did not take it on. In effect, it was worse, and her policies are
even farther to the left than Joe Biden's are. She was restrained only by Joe Biden from things that were even more extreme in the policies. So I would say this is the far left wing of the Democrat Party winning the day here of what they want to be able to drive home. But the American people have already said they don't want inflation, they don't want high prices, they don't want government doing everything to them and for them. They don't want
open borders, and they want a better international standing in the world. Those are things the American people are already saying. And we'll let the election settle this out in November. Okay. Aside from presidential politics and well vice presidential politics, what else is on your radaris, editor? They're quite a bit. As we're trying to be able to work through a long day today with
several hearings on homeland security and other things that are going on. Also in meeting this afternoon with Benjamin Neuts and Yahoo to talk about Israel and the continuing threat they have not only from Hamas in Gaza, but also from Hesbala in the north in Lebanon, a lot of people have lost track of the fact that Hesba Lah in the north, not in Gaza. On the north in
Lebanon, they've launched thousands of rockets into northern Israel. There are one hundred thousand Israelis that are now displaced in northern Israel that have had to flee from the border. And while so much of the national media is focused on what's happening in Gaza to the south, people are ignoring the attack from Hesbelah in
the north, and that's an even bigger threat to them. So Natanya, who has a two front war going on at this point, and is trying to be able to resolve things in Gaza as quickly as possible so they can turn more of their attention to the north to hesbe Law. He will speak to the Congress later on today. We'll have the opportunity to be able to hear him directly and to be able to know what the plan is for them and how they're going to work to be able to stop terrorism at home for
them and in their region. Senator, is it true that Vice President Harris is not going to have an audience with mister Netanyahu. It is our understanding
that she was planning and I don't know yet. We'll see what with the final schedule is she was playing to meet one on one with him, that President Biden was playing to me one on one with him, But obviously he has COVID and so that's now who's going to meet with Vice President Harris, which would actually be a normal thing to be able to do on this Then she was not attending the address to Congress, and so we'll see how that works out in schedule right now, but there's there are a lot of rumors
of what her schedule will be. We'll see what she actually chooses to do. I would tell you Vice President Harris has been pretty outspoken against at Netsan Yahou and pretty belittling to Israel for a while and talking about all the ceasefire and just let this go, and and and the threats to terrorism that still reigned for them. So I would not be surprised if she skips out on visiting with nets and Yahoo because she's been so opposed to him into the policy
