Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to speak with our congressman, Josh Rikeen. How are you doing, sir, I'm good man, and what's going on in your corner of the world known as Washington, d C. And also Congressional District too. Yeah. Well, we're going to try to find a
way to ultimately force the president's hands if it can be forced. I think the only way you're gonna get President to let go of this embargo ammunitions to Israel is he's going to fear his next election cycle because we're gonna try this week to bring about a power of the purse maneuver. My great concern is is that when you know we're talking about funding for cabinet level entities under his
authority, that the Senate will have his back knack him up. Maybe not, though, if the American people will demand their senators, even the Democrat senators back the play of the House of saying President Biden does not constitutionally have the authority to hold up funds for Israel. Article one section once has all legislative powers to be vested in the Congress and the President by the Constitution is also, as it articulates to faithfully execute the laws of the land. He's
doing something that's unconstitutionally doesn't have the authority. American people put enough pressure on him. After we get down with the house boat this week. My hope is the Senate will take it up, and ultimately the Senate and alongside the American people can let him know that you're about to be without a job, and maybe that's enough getting to change is his past speak support in Israel today
but not tomorrow, which he continues to do well. Well, did the President just get told that he can't give away four hundred and thirty nine a million dollars for education that he tried to unilaterally do just a little bit of God, I mean, he got shut down once before, but I think I read that that happened here again recently within another about that he tried to pay off student owans almost half of the mean I almost have a trillion in
the billions, trillions. It's unbelievable. Almost half a trillion dollars he's trying to give away. He's trying to buy votes. That's what this is. I mean, it's it's why he's sending out notices right now. We talked when two weeks ago to anybody's receiving government funds, medicaid, et cetera, that different states are letting them know about voting procedures so that the people who are, you know, receiving government benefits will turn out and vote for those
they perceive or giving them the most government benefits. You know, he is lawless in the way that he is trying to implement his role as the executive. It's lawlessness to do that kind of stuff. We're speaking with Congressman Josh Burkeen. We recently had a tornado right here in Bartlesville, and I imagine you probably heard all about it and what have you, but wow, it was something else. Next time you're in the area, we got to show
you some of that we can do this. What's that give? Let me our district director, Dan, he lives in Bartlesville and keeping me a couple every days, you know, in the know in communication with you know, the city manager of the mayor, trying to make sure that we're doing what we can on our side. But Dan Harrigan, who lives in in in Bartlesville, our district director, is telephone number nine eight two six zero four eight seven to one for anybody that is needing, you know, connection with
the federal entities. Dan has been daily involved in that role nine one, eight two six zero four eight seven to one. My latest update from him showed me, you know that we've got a lot of the debris thanks to your county commissioners. Kudos to them, a lot of the county commissioners,
Samaricans purer So Oklahoma Baptist. Sounds like a lot of the debris is being dealt with and then hopefully with the paperwork that's been turned in the request of the federal entities on individual and public assistance, that stuff like that determination based to plumb merit will go forth and be evaluated this week and maybe, you know, as early as next week we'll have day. Well, I'm glad you brought I'm glad you brought it. I'm sorry, I'm sorry your phone
was breaking up. I was going to say it's a good thing you mentioned Dan again, because I was worried that his phone hadn't you know, might have stopped ringing. But he has been busy. He and Derek Diisney are both they're actively in monitoring the situation, making sure the word devil. We need to do to make sure that people impacted have the resources available. Okay, very very good. U Border issue. Once again, it seems like it's never going away. It seems like it is never ever ever going away
any progress. Well, look, I I I hate to admit this, but the reality is the leverage for forcing this U president's hands in the Senate hands was in a way as of a couple of weeks ago more in eight bill plus what happened in twenty four appropriations package. What our founding father said was the power of the person Federalist sixty eight. So there's nothing left that comes with a prize tag that this administration wants. It gives us the ability
to say, you want that, you're going to do this. So I'm sad to say that that was the result. That's why I voted against both that four an Age eight package and the twenty four appropriations. Feel situation with the border will not change less the president. I mean, it's played and we're talking you, josh mckem and Joshua the country it is, you know,
Joshua. One of the things that people really kind of marvel at is a year grasp of where we are financially as a country, and just how far away we've kind of slipped away from where we need to be and how far down the physcal cliff we seem to be tumbling and bringing us up to data on where we are there. Well, it's uh, we're used to a trillion dollar depths. It's as of a year or two ago. Huh.
Now we're two trillion dollar deaths, two trillion dollar depths. You add the student loan belop and Biden is continuing to push is one point seven trillion plus three four hundred billion he's trying to advocate for. We're living in two trillion dollar desths. Nineteen eighty after two hundred years of government debt loading, we got to a trillion dollars total gross national debt in nineteen eighty trillion dollars. It's two hundred years as well, our total debt we're thirty four trillion.
Now our annual debt is two trillions, so we're twice in one year, we'll overspend what it took us two hundred years to get total debt accumulation to in nineteen eighty. Every year now we'll we'll debt spend twice that amount. Over two trillions are annual depths. Goodness, we're headed towards We're headed
towards hyper inflation. And that's where we're headed. And when we talk, sorry, when we talk about hyper inflation, that sounds like a very scary word, and it truly is. Could you explain to the layman what that actually means. There's a there's a term that Thomas Jefferson used. There was a Latin term called it's called the abusive state of man. Okay, that's what happened when government puts you in a no win situation by your curses.
No, it's the abusive state of men. Thomas Jefferson said, should not allowed to maintain our independence. He said, we should not allow our leaders. He used a different term for leaders. Should not allow our leaders to load us with perpetual debt. He goes on to say, that's why you've got to make your election basically, your vote between liberty and servitude. You gotta make your vote between liberty and servitude. Are you voting for somebody's gonna
give you more? It's done paid for. You vote for somebody who says, we got a cut so that our kids have had the blessing of liberty. He goes on to say, Jefferson does, and at a different time that he uses this Latin term talking about the abusive state of man. He said, the four horse, the four horse talking about a wagon train scenario, the four horse of this frightful team, this public debt taxation follows that, and in its train is wretchedness and oppression. So nobody can can tell
you what's gonna happen. But whether it's the hidden tax of inflation or the real tax of yere's in the future paying for all of this, the abusive state of man in its train is wretchedness and oppression. That's what our founders warned us against, and that's where we're headed. Indeed, Josh Berkeen, what's on your plate as you take a look ahead here in the next day,
five to ten days, what's what you got going on? So there is the the thing I discussed early on in this discussion with you about trying to find some leverage going after the cabinet level funding to try to force this president to let go of his hold on munitions go to Israel. Law enforcement will pass a number of different, hopefully number of different law enforcement measures this
week. This week is police week, You're gonna have a one hundred year celebration of CBP customers and Border Patrol agents on you know, trying to secure a border. We're gonna have a number of measures this week on the floor that will be designed to empower our law enforcement, something that we've seen the liberal ideology try to undermind. So Congress gonna understand you're going to be in Bartlesfield soon. Well, we're gonna get a chance to see the damage.
Cut it out. I had had speaking of graduation last week, and then with Mother's Day, it's kind of called them mac to schedule, but we're gonna try to get up there. My own daughters had to speaking another graduation last weekend. But this weekend my daughter graduates, so i'm'll make a mad dash home to go to her graduation and get up the next morning, head to Bartlesville, get a chance to make sure that I'm well aware of what the FEMA information is gonna be turned in and get to see it live,
and then catch a plane. Then at the end of this week weekend, to his credit converser Mark Way, Mullen has scheduled a trip for some of the delegation along with myself and and some others from Pennsylvania, Virginia. It's not just the Oaklam the Watson family that is being detained in Turks and Cacos. We've also got two other individuals that have been detained from two other states, and so we're going to try to make a trip, a one day
trip to try to advocate for that family. Is to try to get you know that the craziness someone who left a few shotgun shells, a few shells in their bag in Turks and Cacos and now they're looking at a twelve year prison center of their tourism dollars comes from the United States. We're going to try to make a trip to try to expose this and try to have discussions to get the government to change their minds. I mean, I think it's the punishment has to match the crime, and in this case, it is
not matching an innocent in fraction, Thank goodness, Josh McKeen. Besides getting a hold of Dan and he's always accessible, how do he get a hold of anybody else in your office? And is there a website or a or a phone number dot Claremore Office nine one eight two eight three six two six two nine one eight two eight three six two six two, or she can reach out to Dan who lives in Bartlesville specifically what's you know with emerging management,
what's going on with Bartlesville. But in just regular casework, that Claremore office is someone you can an office that you can reach out to, whether it's passports or or veterans affairs or Medicare Social Security. And then if you will let me know your thoughts on how do you think I should vote on something? Call our our DC office to two two two five two seven zero one. I actually read those call sheets. I listen to what people in
the second Congressional District are saying. And you know, I also read the field reports of our field reps. When they're talking to people make comments. I read that so and then go to you know, if you want to do electronically, go to Burkeen dot house dot gov. B R, E, C A T N. Burkeen dot house dot gov. And you can also send us your thoughts. In written for him Augus Smith mckein, thank you very much for being with us today
