Jessica, how you doing. I'm good. How are you? I'm doing wonderful. You brought a friend. I did bring a friend. Who's our friend, Chris Revar, Like we didn't know kind of camp's out here every now and then. He's a professional. I think I need to be on the
payroll here pretty soon. There. Yeah, you'll if you hear the brewin games right here on K one, I have the pregame in the tailgate party. Chris is all part of that. But we're not here to talk about tailgating so much. Today. We are talking about past independence and dancing with the stars. There we go. We've got some footwork going on here. We do way more, way more important than tailgates. Yes, yeah, yes, yeah, I'll tell you what you guys. I didn't know you
dance and choose their son. Oh yeah, absolutely. We are professional dancers. And now we've decided to bring it live to Bartsville, Okay, for a great cause passed in the pennance. So we're excited for this. Now, this has been going on a little bit. I remember last year a lot of money was raised yet this right, I believe, so we're hoping to do the same even more this year. That's right. We've been practicing a little while now, yeah, so we hope to be ready by November
the eleventh. Oh well, that's great. Now, now tell us a little bit about this when we when we do this get together here. It's a lot of fun, but the dancers are out to get votes too. And you guys been campaigning a little bit as well as you know, painstakingly rehearsing. Right, that's exactly right. We've been practicing, rehearsing and raising
money. Like we said, it's for a great cause. Passing Independence is a great school here in Bartsville. We are so blessed to have it and raise money for this school, and that's why Jessica and I have decided that we wanted to do this for them and bring our dancing skills to Bartisduel. So a little bit excited for it, and uh, you know, we've been out raising money and you know, if people have not donated yet or contributed, you can exactly get on and vote, and where do we go
to vote? You vote the Pass Independence website and the event is actually sold out. Seats are all sold out already there. Yes, we do a full house for the eleventh but you can still get on and vote for your favorite team. Obviously we would appreciate that vote for the Revard Butler team. But and then obviously as you vote, you can donate as much as you'd like, little or large. We take it off, well take it all, it doesn't matter. He knows a little bit about your dancing skills.
Well, well, she is the professional, the professional, she's the star, she's she's all of it. So I did ballet until I was about a freshman in high school, so that equivalates me to be the star. But yeah, we're doing a little mash up with our theme being money, so we're raising money and getting money for Pasan Independants. But yes, Peasan Independance is just such a like Chris said, it's such a great organization and an opportunity that we have here in Bartlesville and is the only one in the
state. So we're blessed to have it here and we're excited to dance away and raise the money for it. This is really gonna be cool. This is gonna be so much fun. And it's too bad that we don't have any kind of, you know, extra seeding for the capacity because this does draw. It does draw the crowd. But you've been been doing some wind sprints, doing some laps, you know, getting your getting your reaches and your stretches in there, buddy. Yeah, So this is I'm not gonna
lie. It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I've been very sore. We have a coach that is absolutely incredible. Yeah, and she's hardcore, and I've been very sore after we get done. But it's been fantastic. Yeah. Well, shout out for Stacy Lard. That's fabulous coach. She's incredible, incredible. What are the songs you're dancing to? What's a little mashup of some money themed songs. Yeah, everything from Pink Floyd Toy. Yeah, I got it, Yeah, got it.
Yeah, you start singing much longer, we're gonna get up and start dancing. I can do that. I do that look on your face. Yeah yeah. But this is really a lot of fun and it's a great activity. And like I said, you know it's too bad. We just don't have any more seats left. But you can vote, and that's where the
power but you comes in. You, the folks who know and are contestants, can come in and really flex your muscle with a dollar biller six or seven, maybe even a couple of hundred, maybe a thousand of its burned a hole in your pocket. That's right, because it is going depends in independence. I got to sell you it's a great little school. I just lived down the block from it, and we're kind of protective in our area, our listeners school. We've got great kids down there, and you know,
we see you getting a little too issue with speed. You know you're gonna get yelled at. You will and any way, the great neighbors to have and they just keep expanding and doing some wonderful things with the kids and also with the physical building too. And uh you know that, like you said, not every community has well we have with pasted independence. And there are people who move to our town specifically for this great little school, that's
true, or drive in every day. We went to the event one year and it was a family from Tulsa and they drove They drive in every day to bring their kids to schools. That does not surprise me. That does not surprise me at all. And once again, this is gonna be great. Where are you holding this for the folks who don't have tickets? By which they did? Is that community center? Wow? Wow, you filled
that up. Yeah, that's no easy undertaking. And I think on the website when you get on to vote, there is a I think a part that you can put get on a wait list for tickets. So sometimes if you know, a table doesn't fill or a couple of tickets become available, I think that's an option. Well there you go. Yeah, even more reason to get on. Yeah, be on the warm ready. That's right,
that's right, that's right, hottest ticket in town. It has become that has it has it has grown And like I said, everybody wants to help out pass independence and then see, you know some great dancers and some really bad dancers. We're not going to say who's the really bad dancers? Are? Well? This is great and yours is the money mash up and this is going to be the one to watch. Now people are going to Trusk. Are the videotaping this? Oh I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure
if not, there's going to be a thousand cell phones out. I pick a pay per view opportunity here. Yeah, a little guy down there named Caleb, that's right, but but he knows all that stuff about TV everything. I just throw the buttons and the switch, but all that. But this is really going to be great. Now, how much have you raised so far? And how much are you looking to raise? And can we get into that area? I know it keeps coming in. I don't know.
They don't tell us a dollar amount yet until the new I believe a week and a half ago we were in second place. Okay, so oh yeah, how much what's your goal? Well, we would love to meet last year's I think last year someone's wes like twenty five thousand dollars dollars. That would be fantastic. It's all going to a good cost. You guys don't see it. You just see it on the check and you can hand
it over to the independence. They have help. You know it over happy to help and we won and yeah see see they're not in it for the money themselves. They're in it for the fun. So if you want to support people having good fun for a great cause, this is this is your calling, and the website is that pas independ It's just get on the Google and that'll take you there and it'll get you all set up and you have a list of all the teams. Imagine, yes, right, so you
know you've kind of had your bets here a little bit, folks. Maybe you vote from more than what maybe a little bit of everybody exactly, so you never know, cause yes it is. They're on Facebook and Instagram as well, so you can get on there and see videos of maybe some teams prepping and pictures and all kinds of information. Oh I know where I'm going after Yeah, I'm checking the You got some spray ancle avenue going on here. They're hoping to stay healthy. Well, so far, so good.
You guys look like the p knuckle of good health. You're in the pink. So far, we're good. So far, you're good. And nobody's gotten thrown into a wall or you know, far or nothing like that. That's one of my biggest fear is that I throw just down or something. And that wouldn't that would not be so in so many ways wrong. Yeah, no dropping, there's no dropping and dancing you do that. You just put table between your legs and keep going. That's right, that's right,
that's right. So this is really going to be cool? What kind of exactly? Yeah, it's going to do some kind of out there dance moves that maybe we should watch for. I don't want to give one a whole. We don't want to give it away till the year Tom. We're just kinda we're gon. We've already let out quite a bit of information kind of what it is and what we're going to be doing. So we got a mash up of music, a mashup of dance styles exactly. We want to
surprise everybody. Boy. So you're going to be winded when you're done, right the past two minutes that it is, and I've been winded a lot is practicing, So that's good. So, folks, you're going to get your money's worth here, That's right, because I guarantee you every one of these dance couples are going to put on their very best because they want to win. You know, like I said, the money doesn't go to them, it goes to pass in dependence. They want to do the best for
that cause too. But it doesn't hurt to take home the trophy that's exactly right. That's right, especially when you have other friends that all this is a rivalry, right, Well yeah, yeah, Like I said, we're all working hard as independence. I was talking here, just dance talking, dance talking, dance talking. That's good, keeping it civil. I like
that. But this is really good. This is something I think it kind of came out of just right after COVID when you started doing this, maybe before, right before, right before that, and I remember this just caught lightning in a bottle. This was something folks would say, yeah, you know a lot of folks saying a lot of folks can do this, but can you dance? Oh yeah, can you dance? And then that's where
the fun came in here. They said, yeah, you know, I wonder if you guys, if you inspired other people to try to be on board for next year. I don't know about that. I'm just nobody wants to come watch it though. I'll tell you that I don't know about it sold out exactly. So you're inspiring people somewhere to do something and hopefully it's losing their wallet. That's right. Oh great, So go to the website
and you can get all the information there. They'll tell you how to make your vote count and how you're going to be benefiting pads the Independence, and of course you know it's for a good time and a great cause and you just can't go wrong with this, can you. Now? So, how does it feel getting out there, you know, putting that spring in your stuff and just really having fun like that. Well, now that we have all our steps down, now we're going to work on cleaning our routine.
That's right, that's right. Bring in some little personality and that kind of thing. It'll be fun. It'll be a good time. Oh yeah, I have no doubt you guys. You shouldn't be. You shouldn't be.
