Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome. It is time now for our community connection right here on K one, the one you trust. It is eight thirty three sixty eight degrees and OKM is in the house. How we doing Maryland and men, we are great. It is Monday morning. I finally figured that out. We didn't go fast and furious from Mother's Day to fourth of July. It it is like
super crazy. We have been a little bit busy. Tom. We kicked off Friday night with our especially for Kids festival and it's been going crazy since then. But you were out there playing music and our kids were out there enjoying hoop dancing. They get us up that they did a great job because we were out there Friday for the radio as well, and we saw everybody getting set up and they were ready right as we signed off at six,
they were ready to go. Michael and his daughter are just truly truly her name is Heaven Are I mean, beautiful, beautiful costumes, beautiful dancing, just truly amazing. We have to give another shout out to CP KEM for donating all of the hoops, coming out and volunteering. They were truly amazing and we love our community partners. They make all of those miraculous things happen for the children. I bought friends today, didn't you. I did.
I brought my very beautiful intern, Madeline Child, all the way from Arizona by way of Alaska, by way of Alaska. Her family lives in Alaska. That is true. Thank you for making the long journey to Oklahoma. Of course, Now how you liking it there in ok I like it. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot of new things. Well, you know, hang in because you're in for a treat. This is the fortieth anniversary and we're going back to old school, as they say,
we are fortieth anniversary taking it back to our very first festival. It's three days, starts this weekend, the seventh, eighth, and the ninth, and we have beautiful classical ensembles and pieces prepared. I think it's going to be truly amazing. We start up with our Woollo Rock concert, which everyone loves, and we'll, of course in that concert was some fun works. But in between we have our own other intern, Jassel Dobson, who I
think was just on the radio a few days ago. She will be opening up with us playing violin and singing a few classical pieces, so we're very excited, a little bit different than her performance from last year where she was more country meet. I guess Alicia Keys, Dolly parton me Alicia Keys, but she'll be singing. And then we also have that night the Manhattan Chamber Players, and so a seventeen piece ensemble will be playing beautiful music, Primary
League Mozart, but then some other pieces are thrown in there. And then we go on to Saturday. We go to Tulsa and we go to Casha Hall, the Hogwarts of Oklahoma. I like to call it that. Well, it looks it has all the windy hall. That's very beautiful. We have Jenny Lynn, a Steinway artist, and Adam Tidler, a Yamaha artist playing piano again playing mostly Mozart, but there are some other pieces thrown in.
So we're very excited. Have a little bit of wine, have a little bit of orderves prior to the concert, and then sit back and enjoy a beautiful evening. Then we have our finale because again it is our short season since we're taking homage back to the first festival, and we ended over at the Johnstone Sarah Billing are now the refinery, and we end it with the beautiful Usher Quartet, again a nice We have an opening actually at four
o'clock. There's a showcase from the OSU professors as well as some students that we're very excited to hear. They'll do a showcase at four and then we go into our Tulsa quartet. We'll open up for Esher Quartet and we'll have a little bit of wine, a little bit of or nerves. Be a very beautiful evening melodies. Creative Cuisine is catering for us on Sunday so that you can't go wrong there, and we are very excited. We have many
showcase events. Madelin, you want to tell them about the showcase. All these are cool. I love you. These are the free events. We're going to move this from Allan. I just learned about Madelin. I thought she was perfect in every way, but she can't see. No, she's blind. So we have the Bartlesville bells at ten am and it's in the Is it in the Frank Phillips mansion or is that that? Yeah? Okay,
so the bartstool bills. I'm sorry, ambler Hall. Those are at Ambler Hall on Friday, June seventh in the morning at ten at ten o'clock, okay, And we had the ad lib singers at the Frank Phillips Mansion at eleven am. And then we had the MCP Trio Saturday at Ambler Hall June eighth, and then we have MCP Trio at twelve and then at the
same place and then MCP Trio at two also at Ambler Hall. Yes, so those are the Manhattan Chamber Players and they've got three I guess three of them are playing twice and then a different trio is playing at a different time, but just amazically talented musician. So everyone should definitely come out hear those. I think it's going to be amazing. We do also have Sunday morning Laura Lai Barton who will also be performing at Ambler Hall and she's going to
do some gospel on her harp as well as some other classical pieces. So I think it's going to be very very nice. Those are all and those are all free, but if people want to sign up for those events, that's really helpful for us, so we know how many people to expect. Some of the spaces are limited in sits in particular like Ambler Hall, so it is for those who sign up first. And then if you want to
go on and buy tickets, you can go to okmusic dot org. You can come by c Rosemadeline and get your tickets there, or one of the other interns will help you. I'll probably be back in the back somewhere doing doing paperwork, writing checks, but they can help you out four fifteen self Dewey or give us a call nine three six nine nine zero zero. My goodness sakes, this is really shaping up. It is it is here. We also have our T shirts. They just came in, so we're very
excited for that. We have Tom's laughing because we have a little bit of a hicup. We ordered them quite some time ago. The graphic designers on the other end unfortunately decided to change our font and when they change the fond, they accidentally misspelled anniversary with a U, so they had to redesign fix it all. We just got them in, so we're excited. So if you want a Anniversary with a U T shirt and let us know you can, you can buy one, get one free. And then we also have
our beautiful posters are in so we have two different posters to share. One that has sort of the mozart that's on all of our programming, if you would like that one, or then we have a more refined Renois painting that just sell modified, just a tad. She's holding a beautiful violin, and so we also have that poster. So it's very nice. I mean, trying to take it back again to the original festival forty years ago. Wow, this is amazing, you know, this is one thing that is so
uniquely Bartables felt. And when I first heard about this, we couldn't get here fast enough. In fact, we missed it by a week. We're trying to live here just in time to get to it five years ago, almost to the day, and we had to put things off for a week, so we missed it. So we had to wait a whole year, and boy did we make up for some lost time. And you know, in every year this has been a big family deal for us, the same
way for a lot of families here in our community. I'll tell you that I greatly appreciate you coming with great We appreciate your support, not only personally because you do love music. You're musician, but also certainly the radio family here at Bartswell Radio. We appreciate I mean, there isn't anyone I think that doesn't come help either pass out fans or help us on the radio.
Dory and Kevin are so gracious to us. We appreciate Caleb who's always helping us figure out how we need to advertise this along with our salesperson Tammy Brinkman, who's also on our board everywhere helps do everything. Also our friend. So shout out to the entire Bartzwell Radio family. Thank you guys. We had a fun time I hope last night with Ingo. We did. We had boogie Bingo, we had amazing winners. We have lovely families that played.
They also, I guess will give out a shout out to Domino's Pizza who donated gift cards so that every family can have a pizza. We also have a huge shout out to Chick fil A who also donated. You can either get a sweet treat I think or maybe some kind of lemonade or yeah it was it was truly that was a blessing. So thank you again for our community partners. Today we kick off the rest of the Children's I will not coicking off, but we have a full we have a continuation of it.
We have three story music times today at the library all day long, so please again go onto our website okay and music dot org check those out if you haven't already registered. Some of our events, unfortunately are already at capacity, but I do know that there's still some openings for the story time and music. And at those events, you know, kids get instruments,
they get stuffed animals, they get books. They're pretty cool. So not only are the stories good, but you know, you get to take something home and have it for the summer. We also have three puppet shows coming up this week that are truly really cool. One of them is all about Mozart and is hosted by Mozart little Mozart himself, so that ought to be super fun. Those are one is in Tulsa. The other two puppet shows
are at Father Lynch Hall. We have art immersion and music and kids will be learning about Neoclassic classical art this year as well as learning about Mozart. Had a very prominent family member also who was very gifted and was a genius, and that was his sister Maria or Nanual was her nickname, and so they're going to learn about her and get to do painting. And then at the afternoon session they learn about more about Mozart and again get to do some
more paintings. So they get to take the paintings home with them, which is always fun. And we have a really special tribute to John Vond on Thursday, ice cream social and rock and roll tribute that will be out at Undi Square. Very fitting for mister Bock. It is very fitting because he loved Broms and Broms again giving a shout out to our community partners. Broms is providing all the ice cream, so you cannot go wrong there. We're
very excited. All of those events are free, so people really need to come out. We also have another keyboard orchestra which is fantastic. We kicked off with our first one on Friday and oh my gosh, they did really great. They did such an amazing job. Now we have the little guys who are coming in that aren't his experienced, so I cannot wait to see what they can do with the keyboards. It's going to be great. We have another piano recital for our older our bigger stars. I hear one young
man may just steal the show. I think he's playing four pieces and singing two songs. So we're very excited about that, and so it was ambitious. So I would like to give a shout out to Lisa Steele for all of her kids for a piano that she's just truly a remarkable asset to our community and a music teacher that is just an extraordinaire. Also, Kathy Stewart, her sidekick, who does all of the other instrumentation, is also a
blessing to this community. What two lovely women who are beyond talented, who just share their wealth of knowledge with the kids and are just truly inspiring. It has been so much fun to work with them to get these concerts up and running and get this keyboard orchestra started for Bartlesville. And we're starting with kids. Then we hope to take it to senior residence facilities so that they can also play in an orchestra, and then we hope to open it up
to the public eventually. So very exciting. I liked this. We're building on this one piece of a time. I love that. I love. Yeah, those keyboards are expensive here, they are so once again for the kids, just go to especially for kids at the website okmmusic dot org. How do we get the tickets? Can we go there? And can we can we go to the box office where you guys aren't You've got three ways to do it. You can go into the OKM office at four fifteen Soft
Dewey and you'll be greeted with smile. Yes, Rose will be there when of the entrons can help you. Don't ask my dad. He cannot help you with computer computer related items. Nope, you can share a good story. No, he can tell you all about it, and he can tell you what's fun and what you should go to. You can also call in at nine point eight three three six nine zero zero, or you can visit our website okmusic dot org. Alrighty, hey, thanks for coming in,
