Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome in this time now for our community connection right here on Kay one the why didn't You trust? And we've got our friends in from O. K. M and H. Rose Hammersman. How are you doing today? I'm god you bring in friends all the time. Well, you know, sometimes we want to share. And John's gonna be my partner today. All right, John, welcome on board. Thank you very much. It's good to be
here. Well, we got some big news today, don't we. We have lots of news. All righty, I'm gonna allow John go first, Okay, John, Well, I guess we've got the big lineup ready to roll. You bet we're ready to go. It all starts on June eighth, where we're having a night of Harmony we call it. We're bringing in things for everybody from the young to start with to end with the old. Got a little bit of everything for everybody, and it's gonna be a lot
of fun. So we're gonna have a great, great time. So then we move on into the exciting part of the thing to me, which is wool Rock. Oh yea, I love that show always. Everybody's going to like it. Because we have mister America Lee Greenwood and bring us all back together with a little bit of his music that has been famous over the years where he's kind of on a cycle. Every ten years he comes out with this program of America and he wins a number one Award for the same song.
He's done that three times in a row, and every time when the country's in serious trouble as we are today, and if we could reunite ourselves with little music, God bless us all. So that's going to be fantastic. And we moved from wool Rock into the auditorium downtown at the Center. We have an exciting show there, a time for three be very very interesting to everybody where. It's trying some new things because we don't want to get
in a rut, so it's idea is something for everybody. And on the eleventh Sunday, we have one of the great things that I think will side everybody. Katie Mahone is going to do a talk of the year she spent in Europe following Mosart from where he was born to where he died, including the parts his sister Platness. Most people don't know about it, so it's an educational thing as well as a performance, so it's going to be exciting.
And of course we have the main stage at night is the time for three TF three as they call themselves, so you can see they're a little more modern than some of the things we've been doing, but we're looking forward to that. And on Saturday and Sings My Soul, we're going to have a real good time with some of the gospel. Are got some great people, Katie Nichols, Girl Grace and Company, Katie Mahan with her prelimb. It just goes on and on, and then of courses are an Alley.
It's going to be in Tulsa, the Tulsa Garden Center at the Mansion before and it's the thing for classical people. You can't get any more classical than being at the Mansion. We've got to Tulsa Youth Rooke Orchestra will start us all in the terrace. We'll have little bits of finger munch and stuff in the wine glass or two, and then we move in ultimately to the inside
where we'll have a quartet. And then finally we got with Katie in the big house, the mansion itself, and she's going to put on the performance of her life. It's going to be fantastic because she's going to use all the things she got from going to moos Art so to speak, and picking it all up and here she is with it. We're very very happy with that. So road, let me let you talk about well, I'll tell you what that sounds great And of course we're gonna have this posted here a
little bit later on our website. It's already on the okaym dot org page to do believe it is. It is and you can purchase tickets either from okam dot org, you think dot org and it will direct to right either to our office or over to UM the Bartlesville Community Center, which will be also helping us with the ticket sales. It's nice, very good to them, and of course they do that. They do that. They're just good
partners, anyboy, they are very good and UM. Even if we m you can't get either way, be sure to stop either by the office at four fifteen South Dewey, or you can give us a call at nine eight three three six nine nine zero zero and yours truly we'll be answering the phone or one of the interns. Well, we don't stop right there for the big people, because we have especially for kids. It comes up here too,
Rose, I know you've been doing that for a little bit. I have, and it's my joy because I believe that music begins with the children, and we like to educate them in any way that we can, and I've tried a few different things. The opening night of our festival, our main festival, Jim Green, he's a musician, is going to be on stage at Unity Square, so he will be the first one for the event
that day to kick off our main event. And then we you know, we go in the evening with all the others, but we will start first with of course the Choctawk. Mike Loman, American native will be out with all the children at Sunfests and he has a fine little program that he does and it'll be an interact. So be sure to RSVP to that one, all of them, all the children. This is going to be great, I know, I know. Yeah. We got some really big stuff coming
up here too to fill out the rest of the time period here. Don't wait on both, Yes, we do. We even have um some of that on Sunday for the main event. Um, we are going to have praise and worship service were in the afternoon before the main event that evening, I know so. And then for the children, we just go on and on. But it's good. Its kids go on and on. They we have story time, we have UM Joe Williamson and group with UM. Oh
gosh, let's see. Anyway, she and her family will be doing first on the children's side, but then she will be doing the instruments that are from the books and UM. The children will be really excited when they get to a little surprised um treaty and each one of the little stories that are going to be told, got another little sidelight to like to throw into with
the greenwood. He will be open by just sells to sell is our own product here in Bartlesville, and is beyond belief for a high school singer. I will tell you that is true. She was in Shrek the Musical and she played the singing dragon. And her voice I'd put her up with anyone in New York, Hollywood, anywhere in the world. I mean, she's got that that voice. She's gonna be huge one of these days. And the open for Liez is that the record that shows you that that she has
reached the tip of the latter, which is great. Yeah, so proud of her. And we also have Brent Gibbons in his daytime job as coach Gibbons, but he is on our board and I remember, and he is going to do some things that will surprise everyone. So we've got a lot of Oklahoma talent in this and there are several others and here that are have roots back to Oklahoma. So we feel we're being successful in using our own where we can and showing the world what we've got. You better get there
early for wool Rockers. You don't want to miss to sell that that that's a million dollars voice right there. Absolutely, And she know she is also an intern in the office. I did not know that, but you want to meet Oh, I know. And she and I have worked together a lot, and then Mary Lynn has worked with her also, Um, you know, to get a lot of the social media. You know, kids today are really they know that stuff. Yes they do, They're good.
And anyway, she has done worked with that and she comes in in the afternoon and help us. And she's the one that I believe she's going to Yes she is, Yes, she is rather in turn just one all kinds of things and she's going to mit, Oh, my goodness sakes, well we try. That's amazing. Well they're the ones who later we'll be taking all of our places, you know, and hopefully someday they'll come back to Bartlestone. Yeah, she had to say Joyce Yang. I didn't say her
name. She's much more than an intern. Joy Yeah she is. Yeah, Yeah, she's a and it's a great pianist too. Yeah. And she just got all kinds of athletes for music. Yeah she did. So what great talent you have? How is there? This is where we get our good feelings, is to see what these young people can do. So you know, it's fine that we are are indebted to Mozart and use his
music and call it has taught us. And it's so wonderful when you can see these young people you're gonna take us to a new plateau, oh busy, And that they're here and we get to watch them grow up and watch them go on and be performers. It's a miracle and we're very happy that that happens, and it's happening right before our eyes. It is it is. Now you have a thing with the kids. The tea is how is
that going? That is going really good. We have had lots of people who have already registered for that bet and there are still a few slots. Laugh, so be sure to get up get a look at it. If June the third, it's on a Saturday afternoon and it's gonna be over at Saint Luke's Church. It's a little church in their social area. So and um, I can tell you that one of our main people in our office is going to be Mary Poppins. She's gonna make a visit for their little
spoonful of sugar, either that or her umbrella or her purse. If you're gonna have a little bit of magic going on there, it's always magic when Mary shows up. That's right here you go, my goodness. So I want everybody to go to the website to okaym music dot org and take a look at the list of performers because we have performance all over the place. And also take a look at especially for kids, because we have things that are especially for kids and mom's dads. Take a look at that too and
see what they needs to be done. We always need to know if you're coming. That's always a good thing. It is, so we plan ahead. We also have um a lot of free events on showcase. Oh let's go with that. Um there's gonna be um oh yeah, no no no, Um, Jim Green's gonna be there. But Mad's toning is also and the uh Madman they're gonna be and that's a free event. Wow, so
be sure to come then. And then UM at will Rock that's all inclusive with UM everything everything, and then UM on Saturday, the abb the singers are going to be there that uh Tulsa Quartet is gonna be um and that's free and there's also going to be a brunch that's going to be served, so um going and Richter with that and then Timpy Brown Um door Potlor is going to have her at Ladies Connection and she they're going to do a reception
in Ameler Hall. Oh nice. So um that's and then Isaac mccluge is also a showcase event before the main event of Time for three D is going to be That is just so much so we have impacted. I think I want to working with SunFest. So we're going to have a big show after Hoop Hoop Dance. Oh yeah, favorite Indian is back and he's going to teach hundreds of little kids how to do that. And it's he puts on a show of a lifetime. If you've not seen a five hoop hoop dance
perform, it's the chance of a lifetime and he is good. Well, okay, we're gonna get the early start at SunFest, especially for kids, and then the whole big festival all wrapped up. Oh my goodness. Six Well, I want to thank you both for coming in here and sharing this, this big news today. And you know what, it's good news because by college we need some we do. Thank you for listening to our community connection on K one, the one you trust
