Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome. It is time now for our community connection right here on Kay One, the one you trust, and it's brought to you by Oraon Moore and Knee Camp Funeral Home, Tall Grass Motors and Get Real Ministries. Well, folks, it's always a great day when we have our friends from the Kawanas. And how are we doing, ladies? Great? Great, good morning. All right, We've got Karen and Pat here. We've got two count of two
things back to back within a week of each other. And my goodness, akes, it's both are very very exciting. That's right, that's right. I want to first to talk about the Celebrate Giving, the party with a purpose free event coming up on the twenty seventh at the Center. Tell us a little bit about I will gosh a week from today. It's hard to imagine. Hey, this is the tenth year that Kawanas has been doing an
event for nonprofits in town. You know, Gosh, We've just got some some great organizations that do wonderful things in our community, so we want to recognize and support them. So this is our second year to do Celebrate Giving. We have grown from our first year. We have forty eight organizations who will be at the center a week from today four to seven pm. It's a free event, lots of fun. We decided to focus on partying, so it's a party with a purpose. Get to know the nonprofits, help
them win some prizes. We have door prizes. There'll be food offered by the local FFA groups Dewey and Bartlesville. Nice. But what's cool about it is the organizations themselves have amazing things that they're bringing to show off and sell and give away everything from goodies to gifts, and the organizations are posting what
they're doing out on Facebook. So take a look at that. I just saw yesterday and heard over the weekend that the Bartlesfield Art Association, who we're real excited to have, is going to be auctioning off a painting by John Lindblom. So that is gonna it's a beautiful thirty by thirty painting that they're going to be auctioning off to benefit the Bartlesfield Art Association. Lots of other organizations will be doing things. I know there'll be ornaments, they'll be all
kinds of stocking stuffers. I know the Pilot Club will be out with their pecans and and Millie will be out with her Salsaverti. If you haven't tried it yet, you gotta check that out. And other organizations are doing other really fun things and there will once again be a People's True Voice contest and so they will be all decked out to win some prizes. Wow, lead, this is gonna be great. Forty eight so far, right, Yeah,
we're we're full, We're full. Hey, we we honestly do have a waiting list, and I'm sorry that we couldn't accommodate everybody, but I've learned of new organizations since, you know, since we had to had to close it out. So it'll be a room full. We'll have uh, we'll have music and actually the ad libs are going to come and perform for
us a couple of numbers and get us in the mood. And for those for those who want to start their celebrating early, there'll be there will be a cash bar, all right, and get some absolutely, so it's it's it's gonna be a great party. And I guess I can lead into the Christmas Parade by saying that we'll have a special guest there to help us choose some winners, and that'll be our Grand Marshall from the Christmas Parade. All right, tell you what we're gonna Let people hang on that for just a
second because you don't know who the Grand Marshal is. Pat's going to re announce it here in a little bit. We're going to take a quick break for our commercials break. Then we're going to talk Christmas Parade with ya. All right, we'll be back in just a moment. Three needs are completely transferable in the United States from funeral home to funeral home, and in Oklahoma
that's especially true without any penalty at all. For instance, if you decide you're going to retire and move to another state, and you find a funeral home that you're comfortable with elsewhere, you can take that already set up free need that you have at funeral home A, and transfer to funeral home B. And there's no problem doing that. Tim Howell, Arnold Moore and decamped
funeral home. Sixty seventy years ago, Bob Farmer died. Joe business owner noon Joe business owner hung a sign that said close for the funeral of Bob Farmer back at three pm. Hung it on his door, closed his door no one would steal that sign. He would go to the funeral, as would many of Bob's friends. Now, if you are a grandson, you have to have proof that Grandpa died so you can get paid for that day of leave. I've said it one hundred times. Death is an inconvenience to
twenty first century America. But it's not at Arnold Moore and knee Camp Funeral Hall. It'll be all right. We'll walk through this together. Arnold Moore and knee Camp Puneral Hall. Seven ten Dewey Bartels of their life. We'll walk through this together. Is it time to start thinking about a new car? But the thought of dealing with the large dealerships is just too intimidating, too confusing. There is an easier way, tall Grass Motors. Tall Grass
Motors doesn't play all the confusing games a large dealerships play. Tall Grass Motors has continually been voted bartles Hill's best used car dealer year after year. Go by tall Grass Motors today and enjoy looking at over sixty used cars, trucks and SUV's all priced to save you money. Tall Grass Motors Highway seventy five North in Barville. Hey, everyone, this is Pastor Rando and Pastor Shiloh with get Real Ministries. And this is yours get Real minute. Most everyone
has heard the scripture John three point sixteen. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Whosoever should believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. I believe that that scripture is really of no avail if not followed up by the very next scripture, John three p. Seventeen. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. And that
is the foundational scripture by which get Real Ministries was founded. with the Kawana. We Artie got. It's all caught up on the big Celebrate Giving party coming up on Monday, November the twenty seventh, forty seventh at the Center here in Bartlesville. But boy, just a few days later, miss pat thanks, we got paray tell us about Christmas at the Movies.
Well, Christmas at the Movies is actually the thirteenth year that the Quanas Club of Bartlesville is hosting and presenting the parade to the City of Bartlesville, and Karen mentioned that the special guest at Celebrate Giving will be the parade Grand Marshall, who is mister jars Hakiatis and I'm sure well known in the community, loved by many serves the community well, so we're very excited that he's coming alongside to be Grand Marshall and also make his choice at Celebrate Giving.
Oh wow, this is going to be a lot of fun. I like it when the Grand Marshall participates in both because that's been a long credition, so it hads so this this parade coming up, and this is one that we're going to be doing the video. We do this every year. We always have a lot of fun with it because it is so bright, even though it's at night. It is it'll knock your eyes out, it is,
it is, and it's a lot of fun. And for the last several years, just right after the first bout of COVID, there's hard there's not a gap in the whole in the whole parade route, that is right. We are actually now early early registration just completed, and there's still time to register for the parade closes on the twenty ninth at five o'clock, but before that we already have about seventy five entries in the parade, so we're
really excited about that. And of course we still line up at the Phillip sixty six parking lot and floats can come in and be ready to be judged in several different categories. We have an overall winner our parade. Thing this year, as you said, is Christmas at the Movies, and I've already got some information from people about Toy Story and about Santa Claus and all of
those things. So this is going to be a hard one to judge because there's so many different ways you can go with Christmas at the movies, Oh gosh, yeah, everything from It's a Wonderful Life right Polar Express boy, it's a limitless it's a limitless way. And actually when we decided that, I said to Zuzu's pedals and people looked at me as skins, It's a
wonderful life. And so that's the one we start watching every year. But along with that, we have some wonderful sponsors this year, some news some knew Our presenting sponsor, Skyway Hunter is a new sponsor to the parade this year and we're very excited about them being presenting sponsor. And Hollymen Signs is a new sponsor for us again this year as well. But we have some standards that are there Muslim and abstractors against sponsoring sam clause. There's only there's
only one. Santa Claus Stride Bank is sponsoring our patriotic entries, and Grand Marshal is sponsored by Truity Credit Union, who are very activated as a community supporter. Of course, the radio station and k w N and all of those letters sponsoring this alphabet. The alphabet Soup is sponsoring our business entry and Cliff Design, Cliss Flooring and Window is sponsoring our corporate section. Gateway is
a new sponsor in as our parade theme this year. Of course, we have our overall winner, Brian Little has been sponsoring that for thirteen years, and we're so happy to have sponsors who are dedicated to the parade and dedicated to helping Kowanas. Our last sponsor is the band our Best Bank sponsoring Bartersville High School Band, and of course representative from District ten, Judge Strum, is sponsoring Due. So a great big thank you to all of our sponsors.
We could not do this without you. Now, I tell you what the quantas are just such a rich history in our time but also around the world too. You know that's right. It's been getting it done for a good many years. Yes, And you know Kauanus folks on focuses on kids helping kids. We support are the youth in our community, not only with scholarships but with grants to you serving organizations. And you know, as far as our feet on the ground, you know, the Christmas Parade, the
fourth of July, the Fishing Derby we celebrate giving Yeah, celebrate. Yeah, I don't want to leave that out, but you know, and from May through September, actually starting in April and lasting all the way to November, we operate the miniature golf course at Sooner Park. So Quantas is out in the community all year long. Good footprint, Oh my goodness. Well ladies, i'll tell you what we're looking forward to. The busiest week you'll
have all year. That is right Monday through Saturday. It's pretty much owned by the Quantas Ms. Pat, Mss Karen, thank you very much for being with us here today. Thank you so much. Thanksgiving. All right, all right, we've got more coming up. Bright
