Good morning, good morning, good morning, and Milncol Milcol Malcolm in. It's time now for our community connection and we are talking with get Real Ministries and we have a pastor Shiloh Gamble here with this and company. How are you doing today? Good? How are you well? You look like you're surrounded by folks who love you absolutely. This is my support group. Hey, that's my my grandson, Riley, Ah, Riley, my granddaughter Brooklyn. What you've met before? Yeah, she likes it in here. Yeah,
she was ready to come. Yeah, she's like, we're going to radio. But Rando, yeah, he had a meeting today, so you know, okay, well we know how that is. I mean, you guys are on call twenty four to seven. Yeah, yeah, so you know, you gotta go where it takes you, whatever it is. So anyway, the Jesus Burger is tomorrow, but we want to remind folks it's at noon, at twelve noon, Yes, twelve noon, that's the new time. It's got hot. So we decided are not hot. It got
started early or darker earlier, and so we'd run out of time. If it's too hot, we go into the building. And so we did a lot. We have options. Well, well, if if it's over like it was last month, like scorching, we decide to move it inside. Yeah. Yeah, And so we have all kinds of options from rain, shine, heat or absolutely. Yeah, it's gonna happen, but we just
will find a place to happen. And Jesus Burger is really something else, because there are folks have heard that tagline, Yes and Jesus Burger and they said, well, it sounds nice, but what's that all about? And it's about a lot of different things, isn't it. Yeah, yeah, very much. So Actually we uh, those that don't know or haven't read the article that was in B Monthly, their story behind it is that it got started out in Longview, Texas, and the founder would go around passing
out food and ministering two those sitting on the street. Well then they decided to call it Jesus Burger, and then they got bigger and bigger, and well that's where it's at now. So it started in Longview, Texas. I was at Highway eighty and the shelter out there, homeless shelter out at Longview, Texas, And so the bus came by and said, who wants to Jesus Burger. And so like everyone else, I'm like, what the heck is it Jesus Burger? And and they said it's a hamburger that they
cooked at it. So sure, I'll go, I want a hamburger. But I get there and Holy Spirit just wrecked me and he had a whole different plan for me. And at that time, that guess with the burger was the only time to get get my attention through everything I've been through. You think it would have, but no, Holy Spirit got me where he wanted me to be. So years later, now we have ours out in Bartlesville, where the first out of state Jesus Burger. And that's yeah.
And what happens here not only do you get fed food, you get fed on the Holy Spirit. Yes, that's yeah, because you know what, there's a lot of a lot of things that people have been hurt with the church. Yeah, and there's a lot of things that people have been taught are told wrong. That's a cell phone, don't worry about it. Yeah,
We're all right, everything's good. So, uh that's okay. So we so yeah, so so so we get them there with love and inviting everyone with free clothes and free food bags and of course the hamburgers that are there, and and so they might becoming just for that. But then when they get there, just like myself, they could they leave transformed. It's
it's a it's a whole difference. Holy Spirit's the only one that knows what you're going through, you know, truly, and so he has a way of moving on your heart that nobody else can, you know, And so it's just amazing. Now. I also understand that baptisms just spontaneously happening, you think, absolutely so, even if it's just one at first, we usually end up with ten or more. I wasn't there last month, unfortunately, I was sick. That's the first, no second one I missed,
but I don't know the count. But it doesn't matter. It's a bunch of souls that came home choaked right. Well. The good thing too, was my daughter. She had already been baptized before, but she had been struggling over the past couple of years and she decided to get rebaptized and and it's and it's set her you know. Just like I said, Holy Spirit knows what you're dealing with, and he knows how to fix it for you.
We can't. So you know, humans is humans. We we can do what we can on the outside, but but it's got Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the ones that can only come fill that void or that's that's inside. And we're talking about Jesus Burger with yet real ministries. And after Shiloh Gamble, now we we made mention that this took place in Long de Texas where it all started, and I understand that we we lost the founder of Jesus. Yeah, that's that's a hard Yeah, we just got back.
Yeah, we were. We were just got back. And it was bittersweet. We know that he's in heaven with Jesus, dancing and loving it. But he was young and and so he he went through a battle of the past few years with cancer and and people say, well, why does that happen to somebody loves Jesus. Well, we can't answer that either, but I do know he had a whole another ministry field. Because he was
usually one to carry the cross around and minister out in the streets. Well this time he was in the hospitals and the and then the you know, nurses and reaching people that you know, the others can't and when I say true example of Jesus, I've never and Randall will tell you first year, thinking, man, what's wrong with this guy? Because it's it's too much love. Yeah, and so and then you're like, is this guy real? And but he was real, and so you can't help but love him
because of his love. He was just he was just the true example of Jesus hands and feet. And so through that, Holy Spirit was able to work. And like I said, if you could change me, I that's that's the one that I met. And so when Holy Spirit used him, from then on it was a instant like family bond with long View, Texas and Jesus Burger. And then Randall went with him and met with with him and some other guys from a long View to go to the George Floyd.
They carry the cross around down there, and so Randall got to bond with him very well. But it was it's it's amazing what Holy Spirit will do. Even though you can count how many times on your hand that you've been in person with them, you feel like you've been with him forever. Yeah,
it's and that you've Yeah, it's it's a bond. I can't know the Book of acts kind of goes through that, uh, explaining that bond and that friendship and that love and that was a true that's a true love and that Jesus was using him for to share and show and kind of makes you evaluate yourself and your love walk. I bet it does. You know. Get Real Ministries has had a great deal of success with finding people who thought they were lost. Right, never really lost, but you may have
lost your way a bit. And you've been really helping out a lot of people that probably if they didn't if they didn't know that you were around, it probably would still be kind of aimless and directionless. And that that's just such a good mark on you. Now I understand that Get Real Thrifty is going to be put up for sale here. Well, yeah, it's shutting,
it's shutting the doors. It's been great three years where big ministry tool for the for those especially that not just on the street, because we did the homeless clothing which we still do clothing at Jesus Burger. Yeah, so this this aspect is not going to go away. No, it's just that the storefront is going to be something else. And what the mission of of Get Real hasn't changed. Absolutely and won't. Yeah, in fact, it's going to be enhanced, it's going to be more direct there you go.
Yeah, and I feel that that's a new season the Lord has put us in. Is we're shifting over to we're running out of time, and so we still have feeding and loving on people. Yeah, but like you said, it's more direct, and we're looking to get a new building, uh, because we're outgrowing the when we're in and so being a prayer with that with us for that, but uh yeah, it's it's just time to focus on people wholeheartedly. And and I want people to know that this is just
a shift in priority. It's not a shift in the ministry absolutely, just how how we're going to make sure that the clothes get into the hands of those who truly need. That's right, that's right, and that's what's happening. Yes, thank you. We we will never stop clothing and feeding people
because that's what the Bible tells us to do. And so in fact, when we get a bigger building, we'd like to have a building that would house the clothing ministry plus the food, a food ministry and everything under one building. And so you're, yeah, you're looking I hope that building is gonna be nice. Yeah, well God knows, only God knows which one it is and how. But but that's that's the vision we have because you
said, there's so many that are hurting. And if it's just a piece even piece of clothing that someone needs to feel loved to know that they're important, still, that's that's huge. A lot of people have been there. They won't tell you that, but they have been there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. And then it also it also those that donate to us, it helps their heart. It's it's like a circle. So it oftens people's hearts, you know, to give
into them sustry and to see it being used. This is this is an awesome story. And you know the story continues each and every month. When we have you in here, it's like we're opening a new chapter. Yeah, and it's kind of cool to watch this unfold and uh and really take take take people by the heart. Yes, that's right, that's right, and you know, you don't know what kind of turn it's going to take and get real no, you know, I mean we know Jesus isn't is
on the wheel. But yeah, you know, we like to be in charge, but we're not. But you deal with it so pleasantly, So I waited to do it. It's like, okay, Lord did Well, that's when you know it's Jesus, because the old Us would not have done with it. Wasntly. Yes, well, there's the big change of heart and the change of outlook that takes place when Jesus takes the wheel. When we do it, we get lost. That's you said it. Perception is our biggest problem in offense in the world. It is. Oh yeah,
even with church people. We're working on thatch and right now with everybody. We always teach on that. We don't let that's a that's a continuing education preaching course. But yeah, all of us. So it's going to be noon tomorrow. Get there a little early if you could. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we do have CTI coming out. Yes, that's that's a new one. I'm glad you said come early. They will have NARKIN and some testing strips for those that might need it to test. People say,
what's testing strips? Well, some people do their drugs that they choose or they buy on the street. It's not okay to do that. We don't okay, that, but I don't want to bury anybody in exactly if you know, very big lately. And so with that, they can at least test to see if it has the fentanyl in the in the pill or the or the math or whatever it is. Brando says, if you want your stuff test to go to Washington County pretesting. No, no, we will
have testing strips there. And so if it saves a life, so Jesus can be ministered into them, why not, you know, that's what we're trying to do. The thing here. I remember Rando talking about this pent and all when it was brand new. Six funerals in a matter of just two weeks, two weeks he had to perform. And he was telling me that there was a couple of guys that he knew in the neighborhood and they were friendly kids or young people, I should say by any means, but
they were young people. And he says, I don't know if you're doing it, and I don't know if you're not doing it, but if you're thinking about doing it, please don't. I don't want to have to do your funeral. And all of said, oh, yeah, and that's true, and it got their attention. Yeah. And then even even now, like I said, I found he ran he came in contact with a lady yesterday. I think it was. That's you know, I've been fortune the
prostitution and this is Bartles. Little guys, this isn't something, This isn't Tulsa or any you know, this is Bartles, were right in front of you. Wow, she's been forced into prostitution. And so she overdosed, I guess, And so then ourcount save your life. So of her situation exactly. And so of course Randall he ministered to her, loved on her that you know, she's worth more than that. And so we see stuff
like that quite often, and so it is out there. And so Jesus gives you the tools, you know, we got to use them, and then he does the rest. We can't do it, you know. Randall is a gentleman, but he can be and can be tough. Love too, can be convincing. Yeah, test love as well. Right, I say, he has been raised with us. He can convince you in a hurry. Lad is great? Where can we where can we find a miracle
on fourteenth Street? Four one one West fourteenth Street? Huh? And that's right across from FYC and that's a guest station or over by Brookhaven apartments. Okay, yeah, that's that's where we'll be tomorrow and if you need anything in between that, that's where we'll be. You know that Parkland's busy every day, Yeah, going on all absolutely. If we don't, we'd be in trouble. I know the people that come to us, you know, we're we're not your normal people. We have to stay busy. We're an
active church. We're active because if we don't get Jesus to make us active, we'll make ourselves active and that's not good. Hey, I understand you're getting some help from a mutual friend, a musical friend of ours. Yes, mister Kevin Knowles. Yes, Kevin kind of came all. We all kind of came into each other's lives. We kind of intersected about a year and a half ago, a crossing second playing music and that's been a beautiful Yeah. Yeah, the orchestration from God, I'm thinking it was. It
was. I think so because he's actually now playing at the church and doing he'll be at Jesus Burger tomorrow two. So yeah, it's it's written. He's he's quite the musician, kind of like you have albums out. Oh yeah, he's got more than I I'll ever have. And he plays more instruments than I can ever imagine he can. He can play the guitar and the piano at the same time. That's first I've ever seen anybody to do. Actually I give I look at that and go, okay, all right,
I'm throwing mine in the trash. But anyway, God gave you that gift and you're using it, I hope. So wait, anyway, if you Get Real Ministries, it's right there on fourteenth Street. Yes, yes, I would like to say on the Rock Ministries, Ken Dosset and Sandy Dosset amazing people. If you have a time to go buy there and volunteer, go help him out. Yeah they could. They just opened the creamery, which is beautiful. Yes, yes, and so they have so many
different programs that people don't know about, aren't aware of. So go buy and check them out. If you've got a kid and check the programs out from third grade on up. And if you can volunteer, that's amazing. Don't help them out. You've been listening to our conversation with Get Real Ministries and right here on our community Connection. It's brought to you by Arnold Born,
Nick Camp Funeral, get Real Ministries and Tall Grass Motors. The first conversation I have with someone's loved one, I don't care.
