And welcome, Welcome, welcome. It is the time now for our community connection right here on K one, the one you trust and Martin Williams with us here today is with the Paternel Order of Eagles, and not the band, but the band of brothers and sisters that have a good time. I had done there on the second Street. Hey you doing, Martin, I'm good. Hey. You recently had a fund raiser for a family and it

went We're pretty good. And once again it seems like the Eagles are always in the thick of things, trying to get things done, try to take care of things. You kind of quietly do it. And it's kind of a neat thing too. I tell you, guys, go out and beat your chance and you say, hey, we're doing something for somebody needs something, let's get her done. I kind of like that. That's kind of how it works. We kind of keep to ourselves a little bit, and

we don't we don't advertise a lot, you know. And we're looking for some more bingo players to come in the Bingo Hall, and we're looking for new members. There's a men's side of it, there's a women's side of it. The women's side they have meetings twice a month. Men have meetings four times a month on Thursdays at seven thirty. We run you through a

process and do a background check and that's how you become a member. So we we old Bengos Mondays and Fridays at six thirty there at the Bingo Hall, just a block north of Hideaway Pizza, and we're a non smoking facility. We have there's two big breaks in the in the Bingo session and that gives you plenty of time to go outside and smoke a cigarette if you want to, and we have a good time. Oh yeah, you do.

The carns outside kind of indicate that it's quite popular, right if the if the parking lot right in front of the Bingo Hall is full, you just go through the alley and there's another parking lot back there in the back that you're more than welcome to park. And there's cameras face and all of it. Bartisoa Police Department patrols it pretty often, Sheriff's Department and they patrol it.

So it's pretty safe, darn good, you know. And the thing is with the Paturnal Order of Eagles, you guys have a lot of fun, but you have a lot of fun doing good work. You do, I mean, and it shows I haven't met an unhappy eagle. I don't think you'll find an unhappy time. I don't think I will either, not with our group. You guys have fun. Now, do you have like

an initiation program? I know that you have to go through the background check or something like that, But do you have a like certain times of the year where you go for members and and things like that, or so just as you as as you feel the will to and the need to come out branch out, and you know, that's really what it is. We've got a We've got a pamphlet that you fill out. You come to one of the guys that's an Eagle and they have to sponsor you, and you fill

out this pamphlet. If you're a veteran or first responder, you kind of get a break on your initiation fees and stuff. Back in the old days, they made you write a goat whenever you they brought you in. This was one of the stories. The National President came down a couple of months ago and my brother Jacob Blum and I we we took him around to some of the really cool things here in Barnesville and here in Washington County, in Osage County, and he sat there and showed us the pictures of this old

goat that they had. They had them ride and it's a it's a mechanical goat, it's not a live one, and it's really neat how some of the old old stuff works. So but here telling you something. We're gon we're doing May fourth. We're holding a a bingo for the Sheriff's department. Oh great, May the fourth be with you May the fourth. So it's it's a Saturday. They've got bingo tickets they're selling. Oh good. You

can come down to the Bartisville Eagles Friday. You can buy some tickets down there if you want, Or just stop there at the Sheriff's department there at the front desk and talk to those ladies there and they can sell you a ticket. Well, you know, this is the kind of a ticket you wouldn't mind getting from a deputy. No, no, these are fun tickets. These a fun ticket. And you know the sheriff's a jury. The

Sheriff's have fun. They do so many good things that the Eagles are would like to, you know, help foster to the Thanksgiving and the Christmas stuff. So the Sheriff's department what this fundraisers for is they have a Christmas basket, Dell. The way it was explained to me is they have they buy the kids toys and clothes and then they have a food basket that they give

out and they kind of have a Christmas party for those families. And I'm not for sure if it was twenty five to the thirty five, somewhere in that number, I'm for sure. So this bingo ticket that they're selling is fifteen dollars or it is twenty dollars at the door. Well, the Eagles are gonna cook hamburgers, have all the fixings and stuff. You get a hamburger and chips for seven dollars and then you're you'll buy a drink out of

our concession stand that's like a dollar fifty or something. And yeah, yeah, and it's it's good. It's good. The hamburger is gonna be really good. The last time we done this, the hamburgers were very good. They grilling back there at the back on charcoal. It's really a good time. So and and it's like I said earlier, we're a non smoking facility, so don't worry about coming in there and and leaving smelling like a cigarette.

We we we we don't allow vaping in there either. So it's a good time and everybody enjoys it. Sheriff's department, I think they're going to have a really good time with it. So well, we'll we'll do a good job. Well, I'm sure that you will. I'm sure, but I imagine the whole town's going to spell those burgers cooking on the grill. Yeah, that'd be a calling card. Oh yeah, follow your nose, man, Yes, sir, I can do. I can just get a

whip that right now, just in my imaginary. Yeah. So that's only seven dollars for that, and you're drinking a little bit extraly, not too much, but that also helps out with your expenses and the Sheriff's office too. Yep. It's it's nice to be able to partner with the Sheriff's department on something like this. It a lot of people think that we're just a drinking haul or something, or a bar, and we do have a bar in the back, but it's nothing like what some of the people think here

in Bartisville. We it's it's there if you want any Yeah, it's not something that everybody's gonna be and it's not we're not open to the public on that side of it. You have to be a member to be in that part of it. So but Jerry's gonna cook hamburgers him and Jack Scott. I'm sure they're gonna do a good job cooking them hamburgers all evening. So we'll we'll and joy it. So well, this is great. Now, tell everybody where you are, because some of the folks that might have caught

wind of it, but they didn't catch everything. Can you tell everybody where you can be found. So we're we're at a one ten West Second Street, just one block north of Hideaway Pizza. We're in like a cream and bluish green till building kind of looks old. There's a sign there on one of our parking lots and it says that it's owned by that parking lot is owned by the bank, Harvest Bank. But you're more than welcome to park

there for bingo and its costs anything to park. And then if that parking lot's full, you can drive straight through it to the alley and there's another parking lot that we actually own and it's empty most of the time, and you can just part back there righty. And if folks want to give you a call, can they do that to say no more? Do you have a Facebook? Really? Is? We have a Facebook page and that's really where you get your infraration. Yep. Yeah, just follow that Facebook page.

You go on there, click like or follow. So last week we did a big deal where we gave out it was a it was a it was really a free roll. The last person to comment. We had a time set up, and the last person to comment when we commented stopped. That person won a free roll to every one of our bingo games and it equaled out to be like ninety five dollars that day. The girl that won it, she was from Pahusca. We don't even know her. She's actually

a new player, which was really cool. Welcome to the club. Yeah, she she enjoyed it. She got a free roll. We're probably gonna start doing that once a month and it's really it's a good thing. It gets our Facebook page some some movements, so yeah, that's good. Yeah, I tell you what. Hey, Martin, thank you very much for dropping by today. Thank you for having me. Oh goodness, okay, Hamburgers, And when when are we doing this again? May? May fourth,

May fourth? Put that down. Be there at the Eagles. Bring your seven bucks, buy your fifteen dollars ticket, or it's twenty bucks at the door. We're gonna help out the Sheriff's fun to help out the books with the Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff. Yes, sir, all right, thank you much
