Good Bunny and Bunny and morning, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. It's time now for our community connection right here on Kay the one you trust. And today we've got double trouble. How are we doing, ladies, Double trouble. But you know what, we also have double the good news because we're

going to be talking about the Interstate Farm and Home Show. And I got to tell you this is really what makes things special when you're in the broadcasting business, when you can have a big, live event like this where everybody walks away happy. And it's very rare in this day and age that anybody's happy with anything, but this, this is really putting on the dog. Tell us a little bit about it. Hey, Well, we just love getting together with people, you know. That's the thing about it is.

And this is really our opportunity to be with other people. And our clients like to be with other people, you know, so many times that's why they come to this because they want you to come and have a chance to visit. So many times if you come into the store or come into place or whatever, they might be busy with some other people or do things or what and stuff. Tee. This is really a time to just sit and

kick tires and chat and and find out what's new. Yeah, there's no pressure of sales, you know, when you're there, it's just visiting with your neighbors and finding out what's new and having fun with them. A lot of times business is relationships and building a relationship or even just starting relationship starts with something like this, just hi, how you do? What do you do well? And so many times people say, I didn't even realize that

was available in our communities. You know, I heard that exactly. No, that is what's amazing. And you know, I have a Jacuarie board that I bought two years ago at the show, and anybody that comes to my house, I have it sitting in my kitchen and they say, wow, where did you get that? It was handmade somebody in Kansas, you know whatever, exactly exactly and so but you know they're like, wow, you know, I thought you'd have to order something like that from Paris or

whatever. It is so neat and all. But yeah, it was right there. And it was very affordable too, you know, I mean, so what you can get from hometown people, friendly people and just affordable prices. Come see, it's a whole lot of fun now, Tina, we've got a big sponsor. They've done this area every year and I think they're probably going to do it for every other year we do this al most likely Barlot co Op. Yep. They have several different locations around Kansas and whatnot.

And they you know, they are in Oklahoma and they got one yeah yeah, but yeah, they are building a new facility and outside of Cherryville, and like it's it's a big deal and we love having them on board, and you know, you just you don't think of all the things that they actually have, like yeah, yeah, they just had like anywhere from you know, I didn't know that they had a five and one diesel motor

cleaner thing. Yeah that's totally technical, right, they're totally technical. But like I didn't know they carried stuff to for diesel engines, no idea, well I mean no sense. Yeah, everything chemicals for your yard you know or whatever, and things like that too, to barbecue grills, you know, over food and dog food and flame flame fighters you know the thing that you have high comb flame fires. But it's the thing that you know, like you want to melt ice with or something like this, you know,

whatever I call it a flame fighter. But anyway, yeah, we have a lot of fun because we get to go there and shop usually for the auction because they're part of our auction too, so we get to go to some of the different local co ops and stuff and check out what they've got and we find the neatest things. Yeah see, I didn't know they would carry birds seat, but my husband's really big into feeding the birds, and say, yeah, so Bartlett co Op. Check out all their different locations

all over. It's just really handy. And we have some other great sponsors

too that have been with us long term. Romans Outdoor Power. They are the home of the Kaboda and they have all kinds of fun little orange structors to drive around, and equipment and side by sides and lawnmowers, all kinds of fun things over there, and they bring a variety of different things with them when they come and they have some stuff outside this to have stuff up inside, and there's a couple other businesses that will be outside as well,

So if you want to check out some tractors or you know, kind of kind of get in and climb around it and see what you think about it and see what you need to take home like I got a secret too. I got a secret. A lot of times the places will have show specials and stuff too, because they've brought it to the show. They would really rather you take it home then they'd have to take it back to the shop

or so check out the show specials. Be sure, do you have some special today that I can take this home with me and they'll probably make you a really good deal. And if you're in the market for a vehicle, Roman Chevrolet will be there as well as Quality Motors and Quality Toyota. So whatever your brand, I think we have it covered on that one. So you know, come and check them out. They quality brings a lot of cool cars and different things. And sometimes they bring the same car Friday and

Saturday, and sometimes they don't. So if you come on Friday, you can come back on Saturday and check out something different. So sometimes that's right. Sometimes sometimes that show specials out for the show special. Yes we we we don't just stop there with with big equipment, do we? No? No, no, we have any I do want to mention Tom we added a new major sponsor, Washington County Equipment. So that's that's going to be new this year, and you know they have uh heavy equipment, and they

have white equipment. They have lawnmowers and the zero turn stuff do they have that? I was thinking of one more thing and it just escaped me. So I don't know what happened. We were there last year and they were very good. Yes. The one thing about all these local people too,

is you know you're going to get service behind your sale. You know, if you go to like a big box store and buy some of that stuff type of thing or whatever too, you are kind of out of luck sometimes when it comes to the service later and things where if you go to one of these local dealers, they stand behind their products because the name on the side, that's right, that's right. And you know I have kind of a personal witness to that advantage. Carpet Care has been with us for a

long time doing our carpet and doing they're out of Neo too. Shay Kansas and my brother hired them and they come out and man, they did such a wonderful job. And my brother has three sometimes for joinormous dogs that run in it out of his house and his carpet looks brand new. It's wonderful. They did such a good job. So there really is a service behind the sale. There really is that customer one on one that you have that

relationship that you know it lasts a long time. Well, and you know, we've talked about kind of the stuff that's a little bit more masculine or whatever, but we have a lot of things that are more feminine too. I mean, you know, we've got the Mary Kay type dealer and the different decoration type things and stuff for ever since. It's going to be there again this year. All of that good stuff Cask and Grove, which is the olive oil place, which everybody knows if they listen to me, they

make all of it. But we'll also have things for your home, the siting, climate shield, home exteriors will be there again. And we have financial institutions, several different financial institudent like if you need a bank, if you need to make what you really need to do is talk to them now.

Because of the way the interest rates are. If you've got some money that's sitting like just in an all the savings account or something like that, now's the time to move it into a short term where you're going to make a little bit more money on a CD or something. I mean, you're going to get over five percent or whatever for your life. Yeah. So so now it'd be a good time to visit with them and just see what their terms are and what it is. And again there's no pressure, you

know, they just don't want to visit with you about it. And it has to do with the loan. There's a big difference in loans right now too, So be sure and up around and uh and talk to your local people because they want to support the community and help see things grow. And Edward Jones will be there too if you're looking for a little bit more long term uh information there and a new one this year, a gunners weeded Bourbon. They have a new facility in Sedan, so they are going to be

there. I dike Texas will be back. Yeah, in the Penance Animal Hospital. That's new. That's going to be fun. I hope they bring some very little with always a lot of fun when there's some man. I love all the all the dogs, all the cats, all the whatever you bring it, that's fine, I love it. But what about nursery again too, we got some of that the green acres. When you get there, they're boost it's always so pretty, and he's so knowledgeable about different plants

and different things. So if you're you know, if you're like me and you you don't have a green thumb out all zero zilch. I mean, I same Tom, Like, if it's not the plant that wilds when you need to water it, No, it's not for me. I have three plants that are struggling right now. Well, you have to visit with them.

I'm to figure out what it is I need to do. But yeah, he's so knowledgeable and well, usually what I do is I usually pre purchase from him for what we're gonna put like at the radio station there in coffee bill and stuff, and what we're gonna put out front. And so I'll go ahead and say, Okay, I like that, I want that, but I'm not ready to put it out quite yet because we might get a free So he'll hold it then and keep it water nice for the next month or so, and then you know, I can pay for it now

and we'll pick it up and get it in later and stuff too. So yeah, you can kind of plan ahead, prepurchase or whatever you might want to do there at the show wet we have something for kids too, we do. We do. Are you gonna review the announcement? Yeah, well, I've talked to the guy and I still have it on paper. But that's the way it was last year with the guy too, So I'm just

gonna assume that I've talked to him and he said it's coming. But again too, the Jupiter jump type, you know, inflatable type A great kids, and I usually I love sitting there and watching them and as son as you know now and then you have to say, hey, not so rough. Other than that, it's like, hey, have a good time and so but yeah, yeah, So it's nice because the kids can come and jump and we kind of supervise that, and mom or dad can go and

look around and shop and enjoy a little bit too. So bring the kids too. They'll have a good time while you do too. Yep. That's fun. And you know a lot of people when they come in tom they come to our registration table. So you definitely on Friday and Saturday, if you come both days, you can do it. But Friday, at the end of the day, all the registration slips go in a big box and

we draw one to win five hundred dollars. So and then Saturday evening, after everything shuts down, we will draw another one, so you definitely want to come in and register and get your name and the bucket for that five hundred dollars. And we also give away a lot of other door prizes. We have brands and trips like overnight s day brands and trips, and then we have all kinds of different things for the vendors and things like that.

They'll give us things to give away too, so you want to definitely get in on that and get your swag bag. There's some really good deals in that swag bag, so make sure you get that. Coupons and things and stuff too, so find out about what's going on, yep, and so we get to stuff those. That's always something we look forward to sort of that anyway, it's fun to be able to get and see people. So it is Counters tell us when it is. It's going to be on March

twenty second, twenty third. It's a Friday and a Saturday, and we're going to do it like Saturday, a Friday afternoon into the yearly evening and then most of the day Saturday till about four o'clock on Saturday shuts down so if you can get there by three, because really that last half hour people are kind of down tacking and stuff too and things. So yeah, so get there, get there a little bit earlier on Saturday if you can.

There's concessions too, so you can. Oh yeah, they're snack there whatever. It's always fun. The college helps us with that. Soccer teams always on board. That's the way we can help support those athletic teams at the college is by doing the concessions. And they always have good junk food. I love it. That was pretty good hamburgers. So those hamburgers are top quality. You know, that's not stuff you get at the high school cafe hereia and the real stuff. I'm a hot dog girl or a chili dog

popcorn. I think they have all yeah, I think they have all of that. We have Our staff usually runs it off by a bot. Yeah, I don't know anything about that. No, you don't about you guys, everybody. So we we do still have we do still have some some space available and if you want to be a part of it, will make you a space. There's plenty of room to squeeze things here and there inside

or yeah, inside or outside, and you know. If you want to be involved in what we're doing here, please give us a call here at the radio station nine one eight three three six one er zero one. You can reach us on our website or however however you need to get a hold of us, we will we will get you there and help you in what you need. Even if we have to there's a shoehorn to scre you will

get there. Well, I don't want to get out a little bit because Tina does keep our website for this event up to date, so you know, if you go and like, you know, I remember that there was there was a dog groomer there or something like this, you know whatever, Now who was it? You can go to the website for the show and Tina's got the whole contact information right there, kind of like a business card,

you know whatever type listing or whatever for the people. So you know, it's a great way if you before the show you can kind of pre look to see who you might want to see, who you might want to visit with, and then after the show make that contact again. You've got all the information there and that stays up year round, so say all year, yeah, so you remember six months from now, that. You know, I met that insurance person and they were telling me about the long term

insurance, but I can't remember their name. Okay, well go to the wall, be right there exactly, Well, hot Dog, looking forward to it. Tom. That's all mine because I've got to be bringing the Saturday morning show up there with Larry Glass for the Green Country Gardener, Charles and Charles with Tech Talk. Whenever we bring Charles Miller up there, it's everybody smiles because he always comes home with something. Thank you for being with us

here today, our pleasure. Thank you. Alrighty, the folks, you've been listening and watching our community connection right here on K one, the one you try
