Okay, Dan, let me get this straight. We send our information via the Harvest home for me app. You reviewed it here and now we're prequalified officially. Wow. That's helpful, very helpful, our Vest Bank. I'm ready to help. Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome in his time. Now for our community connection right here on K one, the one you try to stand. We have a wonderful message that we're going to share with you here today and it's called Faith in

Business. Hi, Sharry, how you doing? I'm good? How are you? Hi? Penny, how are you well? I guess we're waiting for Charles Pilkington to get here. Where is he? I don't know, Charlie, that's your radio on. But this is something that takes place right here in town about every quarter, what's quarter? And this is really something amazing because we're kind of live in a weird time. We're sometimes sharing our

faith publicly. You don't know where what you're getting into. So true, and this is where we can kind of share our faith in our business. Yeah. And you got to give it up for Regent Bank because they're the ones who host this and started I think with Sean Copeland which she was Charlie's here, but they did that at some other locations I think, and Charlie brought it here and um, I was amazed at first. One I went

to looking around the room's like, oh, they're so and so. Oh I know they're so and so. I mean, it was, you know, because it's one of those things. A lot of times you don't share your faith, you don't talk about faith necessarily in the business world, and so it was it was really refreshing, and it was it was very inspirational to now, Betty, you come from another aspect of this, with the the nonprofit aspect of it, and At Heart Matters we talked faith a lot.

Yes, it is a crisis foundation of what we do. So we are biblically bathed organizations. So we couldn't do what we do without Christ. Fact, you got the priority coming up here. Yeah, the Dory and dep Cook they put that together and it is going to be at Heart Matters on next Thursday nights. Wow, coming up quick. So you're you're coming into this saying them, this is what we do every day, and this

is what we do every day for sure. Now when we get we're gonna be were at the crossing second for this event and that'll be on through Thursday. There we are where there we go. But I'll tell you what to Sharon and on. They get that breakfast going and start rattling the pots pans. My gosh, I put five pounds on just talking about it. They have a great breakfast. It's very good. Yeah, and we do talk about our faith there I do. Are you gonna be one of the featured

speakers, Penny, actually Sherry is the big wig. I'm gonna I get to come and share just a little bit about what our organization get you. So tell us a little bit about what you might have up to save. We don't want to give it all away. I am just sharing and sharing what you know. I'm just sharing from my heart, and that's the best way to get how I've applied in a practical sense in a business realm um than just um. I mean, I'm not a I'm not the preacher,

I'm not the you know. I'm just sharing from my heart, which you know, when they asked me to do it, I was like, oh, and so I've got forty thousand things I've told several people. They're like, oh, I can't wait hear what you have to say it. I'm like, yeah, me too, because you know, there's all these things rolling in my head. But I think today I got up actually at four this morning, I'm like, hey, we gotta gotta, I gotta, I gotta. You know, I can't go in there and just ramble with

eighteen thousand things in my head. So um, like I said, I'm just sharing from my heart. So well, this is gonna be good. That's the best way to do it, because you don't know what kind of an influence may come in to your life in the next twenty four to forty eight hours that might want to tailor that message just a little bit differently to

the room to which you're speaking. But Charlie was telling me that what we've had with the faith in business was something that started in another town, but it is something that's been carried and they're carrying the torch there each a bank and it has worked out very well because all of a sudden, people are feeling like there's a heaviness lifted and they're feeling positive. They're feeling refreshed and renewed, and it's kind of contagious. That's a good thing. That's a

good kind of thing. Yes it is. And you're right, we live in a very dark world. Sometimes you can get focused and you can get bogged down in that and kind of just it weighs heavy on you. I mean there's a lot of things. I mean, we live in the times. Like I says in Isaiah, we're calling evil good and good evil not going and not. I mean that's a different interpretation for everyone. But you got to admit things have changed in society and sometimes they can just fi can

weigh you down. And you see world events and things happening, and it's it is encouraging to live in a community where people feel comfortable gathering business leaders, gathering different denominations. I mean, that's that's what's nice about it. It's, um, you know, it's not a church doing this. It's it's a business most than this. And like I said, you got to give a shout out to Regent Bank for doing that. And I think it feels like it's grown. I mean, the last one I went to is

a lot bigger than the one before that. So it's like the momentum is growing. I think the word is spreading. So um, I just think it's it's great. You're right. People feel uplifted when they're around fellow believers. I believe so I believe so too. And now Penny with Heart Matters tell us a little bit more. We I know a little bit more because

you know, I work with Dorrit, so she's there a lot. Yeah, but for folks who might have only heard the name, and maybe a little bit here and there kind of give us a little bit more insight to Heart Matters. Okay, Art Matters. Actually, our organization has been around for we're in our fifty ninth year. That's a good start. Yeah, it's good start. We were Mutual Girls club. We had an after school

program now we have. In twenty one, we changed our name to Heart Matters to reflect more of the mission that we have now, which is to demonstrate christ Love by safeguarding young hearts and minds through character development and digital media safety education. So our goal is to help prevent child exploitation by what happens online, what kids are encountering every day online, and so we do that in several different ways. We provide classes in school classes for kids in Washington,

O, Sage, and soon no Wata counties. So we love doing that. We love going in there and teaching that character that's strong character, responsibility, trust, honesty, integrity, and then meshing that with the digital media safety. We also do presentations in our community. We will come and do a presentation to anybody that's interested in learning how to safeguard your child, So parents, guardians, members of the community, whoever's interested in learning that,

we will come and do presentations. We also have special speakers come in and do just come from an extratise field where they've been working in it for thirty years and have seen the progression of what's happened online. So we love providing that to the community. We also in May are going to open a resource center in our building where people can come in from nine to four if you want any type of information of how to help your kid navigate that digital

media world. We have information for free. We also will have books that we've purchased that they can purchase at cost that help. You know, our biggest thing, our biggest goal is to just build that awareness parents and guardians, whoever is caretaking those children and you um to be able to communicate with their own kids. You know, you've got plenty of people communicating with them

online. We want those parents to be equipped to be able to talk to their kids about what's happening online, about those dangers, and be able to identify and protect themselves against those dangers online. Well that is great, And then you know there are people who are breathing a side of early. Oh finally I got a resource here good locally that we can we can turn to you on this. It is a you know, I've got seven kids,

but I still have a teenager. Yeah, they run from forty five to fifteen, and the fifteen year olds ago and you wouldn't believe what I saw. Oh yes I would. And she's very very aware of what's going on and everything. And the boy, there are some that did you order your head? Yeah, you can even just from the time my kids are little to now. You know, I just know there's a lot of controls you can put on, a lot of ways you can monitor and watch. I

just it's just scary what's out there. Yeah. Um, And I know Penny knows a lot more of that than thinkingness I do. I bet. Um. You know, you you've got to protect your kids because if you don't, somebody else is gonna get them, don't. It's just so easy for innocently to be online and something come up and they the next thing they know, they're they're they're hooked on something or whatever. And I don't. It's just it's scary. That's why, Um, Penny can thank me.

I was joking with her. I just I feel very strongly about this organization because I just think, like I said, it's so easy for kids innocently click on something. The next thing they know, they're they're going down a rabbit hole and they're they're they're addicted to something that is not going to be

good for their lives. And so when they're they always have a nonprofit presentation at bath and Business and Charlie's like if you got any ideas or like actually Quinn asked and I was like, yeah, let's do you know, ask Penny Meadows. She does, you know, heart, Yeah, I just think that needs to be more awareness what's available. I didn't you guys are in the resource center and so um there's just there's so many good valuable resources

for the for the community, and this is a great organization. So I just wanted to help spread the words. So and I appreciate so Penny can thank me later seven am called on Thursday morning. No, this is gonna be seven am. This is gonna be a crossing second. So you might want to get ahold of Charlie down and read your bank and putting your putting your RSVP. So Sharon and don know how much to get ready for one that plans events, well, Penny does too many when there's food involved.

It is nice to have an rs VP. It's a free event. It's free, free breakfast. But it is no it's nice for you know, we don't want crossing seven crossing second to fix a lot more or be short. You know. The other hand, they like to be prepared and of course you know you're only gonna get probably the best breakfast your hands. Good

breakfast it is. And this is really nice that we do this once a quarter and it's a it's a good time for everybody to kind of just take a little bit of a step back from all of the you know, grind that takes place in our business life and do a little sharing, uh, like we do here with faith in business. And you'd be surprised, you know, do a little networking in there too. You'll find folks that you'll

say, well, I didn't, Wow, how are you doing? You know, and catch up with your friends too, because they're gonna be there and you know, so it's a it's really wonderful and pending. I want to thank you very much for telling us about Heart Matters, U and I. So many people remember a mutual girls club, a little change of the name, and some books get a little thrown off. And I'm glad that

you kind of cleared that up for everybody. Now you have a presence online too, and that it's Heart Matters dot org Heart Matters Dash okay oh dash okay, okay, got it? I get the dash okay in and Corey, you know you, Sherry, she's got her day gig down there at the chamber, down at the chamber where she everything happens and things are popping. Beautiful town that we live in and this great job I just had had the mayor in a little bit ago and he says things are looking pretty healthy.

They are. It's a great community to represent love Bartlesville. Really, who doesn't. And if you're you're loostening in from maybe a smaller town just out of the way a little bit, and you haven't been to Bartlesville lately. I sure invite you to come. I didn't want to get involved with the faith and you need to be a chamber advocate. You could sell this community. Give me the sash. I'll be heard of those redcoats a long time ago. But no. But actually, you know, I came here

not knowing what a Bartlesville was. And now that I've been here for four years, I've decided we're going to die here. Ye love it. And some people say, wow, that sounds drastic. I said, no, it's a compliment. You don't want to leave, No, we don't. We absolutely don't. This is our home and we're gonna We're gonna stay here

and live it, love it and protect it. So love again. We're also going to hear from Penny Meadows from Heart Matters right here in town. And it is really going to be something not only for a good message to just bring in and so can.
