Man, We've got a lot to talk about. Dewey packs quite a fun
little punch because for no bigger than what Dewey is. The heart of Dewey is huge, and the reach of Dewey is even bigger. I guess that's why they call it Dewey America. You just can't keep it in the city living there. What do we got going on? Well, there's no bad so there you got nically, Monday will be a holiday President's Day, so
of course we have the city Hall is going to be closed. But anytime that you need any kind of information like that, you can always go to ww dot Cityofdowey dot com for any events or any kind of information that you need for any kind of city closing garbage, you know, running on that day, excuse me, trash running on that day, or any kind of any of the information that you need. That's a good resource. You know something. When I go there, it's easy to navigate. Okay, great,
and it seems like it already has my answers ready to go. So evidently they've heard them a few times. That's right. And that the calendars on there too. We also have other cool things. We have the new healthcare system that is system business that is coming out. It's located on Northwind Dot right down there in downtown Dewey. It's across from Popkiss or Caddy Corner. You should say, you're going to have a few couple of practitioners in
there that will be able to be available right there in Dewey. And then of course across the street you have Pop Kiss your pharmacy, so one stop shop and if you're feeling better, head on down to all the antique stores, all the fine shopping and local Dewey. I mean you little retail therapy will do you good. It doesn't get any better they shopping and Dewey, that's for sure. The clinic is now open soon soon. I don't have a date, but we want to make get the word out that there will
be brick practitioners in Dewey. All right, super good, gotta work out. See that's great news. Right there, feeling bad, you got a reason to feel great, right. We also have the Dewey Lions Club is still excuse me, Dewey Lions Park is still being worked on. We still have bricks to be sold. We do have you know, the Friends of Dewey Facebook you can utilize at the moment, but we are working on a website so that'll be out soon. But the first improvement that we're going to
start for the park will be the bathrooms. You gotta go and then of course you can always still go to the Facebook and you know, order design your brick and put in your donation maybe whatever you'd like. That keeps the lights on, keeps everything rolling there, especially the lights in the bathroom. That's always that's always working. We also have a lot of the local businesses, some few few that will be open today for sure, like you have
Hermna Flowers still working for you to the woo your sweetheart. I guess whoever is Valentine's Day. It's not just about spouse's it's the love of everybody, right. We also have the Terra Flora business. She's new. It's also located right near that practitioner building. She designs by hand flowers out of all kinds of materials, natural materials. So she's a good business to check out. We also have something way cool coming in May. The business is called
the Simple Freedom. This gentleman does custom engraving and it is mind blowing. He not only does on wood, he also engraves on glass and then you know, coffee mugs, you know, things like that. But his ingredients at all, all the technique that he uses, and of course just the passion that he puts into it. I was able to tour his business last night. Nice, brilliant, brilliant the way he has a setup. Who has a wood shop with carpet on the floor, because he has a dustless
you know area that he works in that he's designed himself dustless. I don't know, I'm just Lorie Tom. I don't know what the word. Well, you know, if you didn't see any dust, it's probably dustless. And he's probably done something that so many woodworkers would have loved to have done a long time. Yes, Yes, he definitely designed definitely designed something that was intricate and not seen yet or maybe, but it's his own home pat in his own first idea. So if it's working for him, it's working
for you. Yeah. And that's located on East on Tyler. So a our business is focused mainly on Don Tyler, but then when we have functions and stuff, it does spread out through the community. Now, Dewey is one heck of a community. And the thing is is that even if you're new there, you're never really is a stranger. And I found that out, you know, first couple of times I was up there. It's like, you know, you don't hear the phrase you're not from around here?
Are you? You? Never always away, always a honk And then moving here from California, being raised in California, but here summers and Christmas is and somebody honk and wave. You're looking around, Oh my god, what did I do? What happened? But not in Dewey, sir. Everybody makes it feel like the community that it should. Well, you know, you've got so many great attractions there, everything from the top mixed museum to the hotel and just about anything and everything else plus all of the yet the
car shows. Car shows are just following. I mean there's so many you can't count them. Well, that's true that you won't be especially this summer. I know that Travis Miller's trying to bring a lot more of the car shows to Dewey. If it works, he's the one definitely to do it. So and then of course we have mcbran he does that as well.
He does too. Yeah, so this is going to be great. And here's the great part when you invest in the park park, you know, because a lot of the car shows right in that area they are and so you know, the sooner things rolling everybody wise, the sooner the projects can get underway and finish trying to make that park our hub. You know, that's the center card. Yeah, and that's the center part and that everybody can focus there and then just spread out to where you know, any any
of the functions are happening. And you also have the free fair building right there. You have the school with all their sports and everything that they have going on. Then like you said, you go right to the hotel, you have the tom Mix and then go on Saunter down don Tyler to the best shopping. You have definitely in this part of Oklahoma. You bet, shall I say all of Oklahoma? All there? You go? Take my word on it time. I will not only everybody's out, but I'm the
community cupid as well. So don't wear my wings. I just wear my heart on my sleep. See see how she I knew you were going to work that in somehow, Laurie, I just knew you were. That's right, now, Well, this is really something else. So by the way, you guys have great restaurants there in town too, So if you're going to be doing any kind of wooing, make some reservations to woo Right, we have the coffee shop still they have ice cream. It's the black ivory,
yes they have, which I have not partooken yet. But how about today? How about that today? How about the next time I'll be able to describe the deliciousness we have the in and out we have them. They're definitely the one of the best burgers they ever have. And onion rings of course, definitely have someboras, fine Mexican cuisine, definitely the best salsa around.
Then of course you have Bulldog nutrition. If you just want to keep it light and healthy, you have there, or you have other little places like at our gel stations that hit everybody's palate for your fried food. So we've got a lot of places there that definitely make everybody happy to who your sweetheart. There you go.
