Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome. It's time now for our community connection right here on King one, the one you trust, and we have a lovely audience in here. Bartles will acquire how are we doing their kids, I should say young adults. Everybody's a senior right, No, no, well you got pointed out. Sorry about that. We got a big show coming up here that week from today, right, so go ahead and tell us a little bit about it. You've

been elected. Okay. So this is our final choir concert. It's called our Spring Fleeing and we do a theme every year, and this year's theme is rock ballads and anthems and Peyton Waite, tell us a little bit about this. We are singing a bunch of songs. Chaz choir especially is singing Crazy Train, which I'm sure a lot of people will go crazy for such a good song. And seven Verges Road, which is another good one by the Eagle, and then Blackbird, Wow by it guy Ellie. So your

name please, Sia Chavali. And what's your favorite part about this whole presentation, about the whole concert in general. Yeah, it's like more relaxed, It's not like fix that posture where that concert black and to like hope you don't like mess up. It's a lot more relaxed and it's very chill, and I like it. They also do choreography, which is nice. So Pete, you do a little choreography you did just last week. So this is gonna be a little bit right in your alley, isn't it. Yes?

I love Springplay. Oh my goodness sakes, Now, this is gonna be a lot of fun. I understand it's gonna somewhat be a little karaoke ish at times. Tell us a little bit about it. In between our numbers, the choirs are performing, we have little songs in between, and we'll be seeing, say, Caroline, I love rock and roll. I believe there's a Rick Roll in there somewhere, and you had to throw one of those in there, probably adults, just to throw us off a little

bit. Now you a senior, right, yes, all right, and Mercy, tell us a little bit about your time at BHS and being with this whole group and everything. I've absolutely loved being in choired for the amount of years that I have been inquired. It's been one of my favorite parts of high school. And it's helped me really like grow and find my passion for like singing and also for theater at the same time. And I've just really enjoyed my time and I'm gonna miss everyone. Mister Wade, what about

you? Oh? The fac in general has just been such a big part of my high school career because I have been in art, been in theater Inchoire all throughout high school and it's really close to me. I really do love all the trips that we go on Inquire in theater. They're great memories that I hope to tape with me. You're only about halfway through, in

fact, almost a beginner, but not quite quite a thing. Yeah you gotta be yeah, yeah, tell us a little bit about your experience and what maybe you've learned from maybe your rougher classman, mainly from these guys. It's just very much so I do that my own time, mostly to just be myself, like do what we love. What I like about Choir is that it definitely got me a lot more confident, more like comfortable and singing

because that's what you do. I did not like my singing, and then I got Inquire and I learned how to properly do it, and now I'm like a lot more. Hey, I can actually do this and it's it's nice. Well, you you come across with as a person with a great deal of confidence. By the way, yeah, I tried shooting out the pores about you, young lady, but you're a senior this year. Yes, I'm also here cool a little bit about your time. So I moved

right before junior year. I moved to bartle School three days before school started. All nice, and so the choir welcomed me right away. My first friends were in this choir and then I jumped in and all my friends require people, Well there you go. Been so kind and welcoming, and I'm so thankful for the experience I've gotten to have with them. Now I'm going to start up with you here with this being a kind of a different presentation at all. Your attitude going in, Well, what is it now?

I think I just want to have fun with it and enjoy our last spring concert with the seniors and the rest of the students. I think we'll just hopefully have fun and have a good time with our last concert of the year. Is this something new for you? Having a show? That's what you mentioned? It earlier. It's not so proper but still proper. Well, we did it because of you know, freshman year. I did. You got to see what it was all about. It's nice, It's I forgot

the question. I'm not even gonna lie. Yeah, your gratitude going into this. I like it a lot. I'm excited to have fun and just to like have a last moment with the seniors, which is kind of sad like listening to them reminiscence, like I'm still gonna be here, I'm right here, but I'm ready to have fun with it. Enjoy it. Peyton Wade, what's going to be one of your favorite songs? Oh? Probably Blackbird? Oh yeah, that's kind of a song for the times, if

anybody's ever really kind of dissected that song. A lot of times people think songs are just songs. It's basically just words set to a real cool music, and a lot of times it is, but sometimes they have a great deal of depth and meeting. What about you, what's your favorite one? Coming up? My favorite song? Yeah, coming up? I would have to say Blackbird as well, because it just like the story of the song and like what you were talking about, like applies to all of us seniors.

So it's it's like, it's one of the best songs to be going out with, and I'm learning to fly leaving the nest. Don't make your parents cry. Okay, we're gonna be doing it. We're gonna be doing it anyway. I'm gonna say it, you know. But anyway, this is gonna be a great deal of fun. What have you learned from this type of music? Going back maybe to the time of when your parents were younger, maybe in some cases your grandparents were kind of a different discovery.

I grew up listening to this type of music. My dad loves this type of music, and so I was like, I know all these songs, same way with you. Yeah, just about part of growing up. So I was like, oh, hey, you're actually going to perform it. It's coming back. I get like them. I've grown up with these songs. Blackbird was one that my parents would play to try and get me to go to sleep. Very different songs, and I just like on the radio,

so many memories of being in the car with my parents. I'm listening to like crazy Train and then also my first job experience, I would be like crazy Train and seven Bridges Road lay over and over, so I know them very well. I love these songs. And what about you? Were you immerged in this as young age too? Every time I got into my dad's car, there was always a rock station on and it was always these

songs all over and many more other songs. So it's nice to like have that as our last concert because it's something that I've experienced throughout my entire life. So that's really cool. It's really cool, you know. It is something that I guess families can kind of get around a little bit too. And what have you. When you compare what you're going to be singing to what you're listening to now in the current it is there a stark difference or

is there some similarities? Is a very oversal? That might have been a question. This is gonna be a lot of fun. This is really gonna be a lot of it. It's gonna be Tuesday, it's gonna be at the Performing Arts Center. And what's the cost to get in? Secret handshake arm in the leg first born order of price? No, okay, so it's free. How you get away with that? We just want everyone to

be able to enjoy it. Well, that'll be great. It's gonna be a good time, and I want everybody to enjoy it and make your way out there because it's gonna be a fun time and you're gonna see and hear some fabulous young people perform their talents, and you're gonna be blown away. I'm just gonna tell you, you're gonna be blown away. If you haven't ever witnessed the productions that we have here in our fine high school, you

might want to get yourself a little toe in the water. It's not gonna cost you anything but about an hour of your time and a great deal of listening pleasure. I want to thank you all for coming in today. Thank you, Thank you Miss Walker for not being seen. Appreciate you coming in here too. Chapper and a little bit. Make sure I don't get out of hand, and we've got we're coming up right here on K one, the one you trust
