And welcome back to Custer Stadium. Nathan Thom's here along with Shyanne Guilty for Bartlesvielle High School Graduation twenty twenty five. We are broadcasting live on k one AM fourteen hundred at them ninety three point three and ninety five point one in Osage County, as well as on your free

to download Bartlesville Radio app and at k onetv dot com. Well, we are now beginning the ceremony, pomp and circumstances now being played by the Boomberg of the Bartosow High School Band, and the class of twenty twenty five is one that's going to go down in the record books for one of the largest classes, at least in recent history. Whenever I graduate from bartlesvill High School way back in nineteen

ninety six, our senior class was four hundred and thirty five. Well, this year's class four hundred on the dot and very talented class as well. Many awards have been won and a great future for these students. We're starting to see teachers and faculty who are now moving onto the field in preparation of the graduation ceremonies. Senior class also making

their way onto lion field here at Custer Stadium. And again four hundred students walking in pairs from the commons area of the high school now out to about the ten yard line, and then they are circling in to where their seats are located. I said ten yard line. I'm actually going to go all the way to the forty five yard line on the north part of the end zone here. So great class here, as everybody is

lining up to congratulate these classes. Now again four hundred and there you hear faculty and staff applauding the senior class at twenty twenty five Bundlesville High School. That's a great thing. I don't remember this from previous years. This is my third year of covering graduation here at Bundlesville High School, and I don't remember this meaningful send off for these seniors. Of course, the last day of school was yesterday. All the final tests were taken and final

books were put back up on the shelf. Chromebooks were checked back in. The seniors came out early this morning for a rehearsal at eight thirty. When the senior class breakfast was at ten. We were worried about the weather and we did some strong thunderstorms in the area earlier this afternoon, but right now you couldn't ask for better conditions at Customer Stadium outside of Barnlsville High School for graduation twenty twenty five. Right now it is seventy eight degrees.

Seventy eight degrees here at the studios. I'm sorry here at the press fops, I just say high. It's tough. Customer High a top Custer stadium, and what an incredible class. Now all seniors are wearing a white and blue stole over their blue graduation gowns, and of course they're hats. Those who have yellow tassels are those who took advanced placement courses here at Barnolsville High School. Go be some with some other different color sashes around them. Those are

for members of the National Honor Society as well. That what a gray crowd currently right now. The first two rows of nine are filled. Right now. They're walking down to the north forty yard line and then making their way up to the south twenty yard line. And that's where we are right now, three rows of seniors already in place and one a great evening. The Barnsville High School band and the crowd is appreciating these seniors as well.

Talk about this crowd absolutely incredible. Custer Stadium seats seventy two hundred folks and it is passed. It is passed. It is standing room only in fact, with some parents and family standing there on the south side of the stadium here watching these The home side is full to the brim visitor side also, I would say ninety percent full.

And this is incredible seeing these many folks coming out to celebrate these seniors as they walk down the fifty yard line here at Custer Stadium and fill the seat for the seed. Well, while professional is going on here, I'll kind of go over the program for today. We should be over about eight thirty or so, but again we remember we have forty seniors or four hundred seniors

to go through. We'll hear opening remarks from Senior CLASSI Vice President Owen May, The pleasure of Allegiance will be said by Lucas Backlaw, and then the playing of our national anthem from the VHS Orchestra Senior Ensemble. Then Broxton Decker will come and do introductions. The VHS Senior Ensemble

will then play some music or sing some music. I should say that's going to be Rainbow Connection, and then the presidential addresses from Lisa Smith, who is the president in the class of twenty twenty five, and Marissa Dumouth, who is the president of the student body here at Bartoso High School. And then another special song. Carter Wells will be singing this is the moment, and that's of

course from the musical Jickle and High. And then finally we'll get to the point where we are presenting the class of twenty twenty five, all four hundred of them,

and handing out their diplomas. Scott Bilger, who is the president of the Barnolsviell Board of Education, we'll be doing that honor, and closing remarks later on will be from Addison Kramer, who is the student body vice president, and then a very special moment before the seniors are allowed to toss their caps, that is the singing of the Barnosville High School alma Mater, and then of course Principal Michael Harp will come back up with the closing remarks,

and then at that point is the celebration is on. Project Graduation for these seniors will be tonight at ten o'clock, lasting all night long at Washington Park Mall. That way the seniors stay safe and as they take the next steps in whatever pappit they choose here in their high school career. All right, the seniors have finally made it to their seats, all four hundred of them, and now faculty and teachers are making their way to their seats

as they are. They're also on the field to monitor wonderful high school band with pomp and circumstance for you. And then we will have our opening here from Owen May, the senior class of Vice President. As soon as everybody gets seat.

Speaker 2

Thank you all for coming. My name is Owen May. I'd like to start by thanking all of you for being here, not only for tonight's events, but for also all the years leading up to it. George Orwell said, each generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it and wiser than the one that comes after it. And while I'd like to think in our case both are true, I know our successes are built on the foundation and support you provided students, parents, teachers,

and administrators. Is my pleasure to welcome you to the Barbesow High School Class of twenty twenty five commencement ceremony.

Speaker 1

That was alway made with the opening remarks, and now we'll have the sing of the Pledge of Allegiance by Lucas Vacklaw, also a member of the Class of twenty twenty five. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, we'll hear from the HS Orchestra, the Senior Ensemble, who will be playing our national anthem.

There is a medical emergency with one of the seniors, so I think they're attending by the way they are attending to the.

Speaker 15

Senior regular afternoon, everyone is.

Speaker 1

If you didn't already know, my.

Speaker 13

Name is Lisa Smith, and as the senior class President, I've been given the honor of delivering the Class of twenty twenty five reflection speech. I'm one of many of you who have been in the Bartlesville Public School system for the full fourteen years. So when I was pulled into mister Harp's office to talk about writing the speech, I didn't just reflect upon the past four years. I

reflected on the past decade and a half. I reflected on how far we've come from excitedly laying our field trip outfits beside us before we go to sleep, to waking up late grabbing a fun drink on the way to school and potentially missing half the school day. And let's be real, we all know a lot of us don't have a first hour and conveniently skip our second hour. Our parents used to pack our lunches, and now we buy our own own DoorDash orders, especially since lunch is

technically not allowed to be off campus. Writing this speech wasn't exactly easy, mostly because I was scrolling on my phone and listening to my Spotify playlist all while trying to type on my four year old Chromebook, And after going through a bunch of photos and all of the memories in my head, I would love to share with all of you what I would consider some of the

most memorable moments in our time at BHS. Do you, guys, remember walking around with your paper schedules on the first day of freshman year, not knowing that half of these people's names in your classes would be etched in your memories forever. Do you remember making silly video projects with your best friends for extra credit that still make you

laugh to this day. Do you remember having to wait in the lunch line for over half of the lunch period and only getting about seven minutes to eat Although we only got those seven minutes to eat. I want to thank all of the cafeteria and custodian staff for their hard work feeding us and keeping our school clean.

And lastly, do you remember all of the epic fails from this wonderful senior year, like the Ashley Cough trying to hop a pickleball fence during Senior Assassin and who could forget Sebastian white backsplatting in front of the entire school while trying to high kick a volleyball during pep rally. These are just some of the moments that will stay with me, and I know we'll stay with many of you for the rest of our lives. Now, before I wrap things up, I want to leave a few words

of advice to our underclassmen. My advice is just two simple words. Get involved. Bartlesville is an incredible town with a deep sense of community, So serve in it, make connections, join clubs, reach out and venture. From student Council and NHS to the amazing internship program offered through our high school. We are surrounded by opportunities to grow, connect and make a difference, so take them. Throughout my life, I've been

taught by my parents the Golden Rule. They would tell me to treat others how I would want to be treated, and that the Golden Rule goes Foreverthree treat your community, your school, your family, and your friends how you would want.

Speaker 1

To be treated.

Speaker 13

It is important to keep your community strong, so get involved. Lastly, I want to finish my speech with some thank yous. In a quote on behalf of the Class of twenty twenty five, I want to thank all the supportive friends, families, and parents here tonight, especially my parents. Thank you for pushing me to my fullest potential. I know that much of what I have done couldn't have been done without you.

I want to thank all of the teachers and staff for helping the Class of twenty twenty five pave our paths to the next chapter in life. I want to thank everyone who's set up and planned the Class of twenty twenty five graduation. And lastly, I want to use this platform that I've so graciously been given to thank my God, my God who has provided for me and been by my side.

Speaker 5

Through thick and through thin.

Speaker 13

Thank you, And a final mention, I would like to announce that it is someone's very special eighteenth birthday today, Happy birthday. I am a freeman, so in good fashion, I will leave you with a quote that Martin Luther King Junior once set himself. Take the first step in faith. You don't always have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step. Have fun with your next steps in life. Ruins and congratulations the Class of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1

Lisa Smith, the class president for the class of twenty twenty five here for Barberswell High School graduation. The student is still having medical attention on the field. Now we'll hear from.

Speaker 16

Marissa family, friends' staff, and most importantly, the class of twenty twenty five. My name is Marissa Demus, and I've gotten the honor to serve as student body president over the past year. We are all gathered here today to celebrate the monumental milestone of graduating from high school. When I was approached about writing this speech, I was told to reflect on the memories that we've made over the

last four years. However, everyone's memories are different. When I look back at my four years here at Bartizba High School, I think about the times I spent with my volleyball team, the times I spent on the court, but more importantly, the times we spent singing on the bus or making jokes in the locker room before games, or I think about my time with student council, raising money, planning events getting ready for dances are what felt like the most stressful,

yet rewarding and memorable part of my whole student council career. Hosting State. To me, our high school memory shouldn't be about the tests we studied or didn't study for, or the homework that we all didn't want to do.

Speaker 3

It should be.

Speaker 16

About the times we spent hanging out with our friends, the relationships we've built with our teachers, the sporting events that we went to, and the dances that we all enjoyed. I will never forget the amazing friends that I've made through both volleyball and student council. Each one of them holds a dear place in my heart and will have forever impacted the person I am today and the person that.

Speaker 12

I will become.

Speaker 16

Thank you to all my teachers, coaches, friends and family for always pushing me to be my best throughout our time here at Bartsblaw High School. We have faced many challenges and we will continue to face challenges throughout our lives. My volleyball coach Justin McCallan always says adversity is coming, meaning that no matter where we're at in life, at our highest high, our lowest low, challenges will always arise.

It wasn't until one of my other coaches, Cody McCallan, said, are you going to stand in the face of adversity or are you going to fall to it that he experienced a whole new outlook on the well repeated phrase adversity is coming. When you face challenges throughout your life, are you going to stand up and take life by

the reins or are you going to run away? Our years here at Bartiswelle High School have prepared us to stand in the face of adversity, to run that life head on and handle any obstacle in our paths, because at the end of the day, it's not what happens to you in life, it's how you react to what happens to you. It's about the way you respond to challenges, setbacks, and even successes that shape who you would become and to find which way your path will go and whichever

way your path winds. Be passionate about what you do, be honorable, be respectful, and in the words of Andrew Blaine, be grateful, because it's impossible to be anxious about what is to come when you have a grateful heart. Thank you to all my teachers, staff, coaches, and families that have poured into us over.

Speaker 3

These last four years.

Speaker 16

You have all helped us to succeed and are a part of the reason why we're all here today. Each and every one of you has prepared us for our future, and we are forever thankful. So, Class of twenty twenty five, as we leap forward into the future, remember the time that we spent here at Bartical High School, and take what we learned and stand in the face of adversity. Lastly, congratulations, Class of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1

We did it. That was BEHS student body President Maurissa DMUs with her presidential address. Before that, we heard from Lisa Smith, who is the Class of twenty twenty five president. Next up, we will have some special music Carter Wells, who is also a member of the Class of twenty twenty five. We'll be making a singing. This is the moment from Jekyll and Hide. Right here, This is the moment.

Speaker 17

This is the day when I send all might outs and demons on their way. Every inde ever I have made, ever is coming into play, is here, and now today is the moment. This is the time, the momentum ends, the moments are in. Give me this moment, it's breast. I'll gather up my past makes some sense.

Speaker 3

And last, this is the moment when all I've done, all of.

Speaker 9

The dreaming, steaming and screaming become longe.

Speaker 12

This is the day.

Speaker 9

See its fark, go and shine, when all I live far becomes min for all easies I face the world come on.

Speaker 15

But now the time is fun to prove to them I made it on my own.

Speaker 9

Bees the moment my final test, Danny Beckon, I never reckon sad.

Speaker 13

Best.

Speaker 5

I won't look down. I must not fall.

Speaker 9

This is the moment, the sweetest moment, bed b.

Speaker 5

This is the moment.

Speaker 1

Damn its pay or never.

Speaker 9

I sit forever with fuck God, and when I look back, I'm always drink all.

Remember that challenges will come, but so will opportunities. Embrace them, for they are your chance to grow,

to evolve, and to make a difference. The world is waiting for you to shine, to bring your unique perspective and talents into spaces that need fresh ideas and compassionate leadership.

Speaker 5

Believe in your ability to create.

Speaker 18

Positive change, no matter how big or small, and remember that every step forward is a victory.

Speaker 5

Always on your roots, stay.

Speaker 18

Grounded, and let your education be the compass that guide you your guide you toward a brighter, more hopeful future.

And ladies and gentlemen. That is all four hundred members of the class of twenty twenty five here at Bartlesville High School. And judging by the crowds reaction, I mean Custer Stadium is still packed. And judging by the reaction, I think every airhorn in a fifty mile radius has been sold out for days prior to today's Barnostow High School graduation. Congratulations of the class of twenty twenty five.

We will now have closing remarks from the student Body Vice President here at Bartlesville High School at As Kramer, with those remarks coming up, and what a great ceremony. Cool temperatures out now and the sun's going down behind Custer Stadium, and what a great ceremony for these students again, class of twenty twenty five. They'll have their project graduation tonight.

Speaker 3

Good evening, everybody.

Speaker 22

My name is Addison Kramer, student Body vice President, on behalf of our class. We would like to thank our friends and family members for attending our celebration. Also thank you to our teachers who have helped us along the way. Before we leave and go into the world, I have one last piece of wisdom to share. There's been a lot said this evening and over the past few years about the future and about what life will be like and how we should live it. We have been handed

a pile of strategies for happiness and success. We all have expectations and anxieties, hopes and fears, points of pride and insecurities. That is just a big part of who we are, what we want to achieve, and what we are afraid of along the way. I won't say don't be afraid of anything, because it is a scary place out there and some fear is to be expected. However, remember that we can't let our fears limit who we are. Life is about to change and you need to be

ready to change with it. Go forth and conquer. Congratulations, Class of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1

The PUD body president Vice President Alison Kramer. Again. You can hear the crowd with their horns again, great crowd tonight to celebrate these seniors here at Bartlesville High School.
